Good stuff, cte, salduck, daisy, SallyC, Denise and djenks.

I am so sorry to hear that you’ve lost friends, b_e_g and beanie.

Fay, I have up to 15 syns - unless I’m very naughty of course ;) I’ve listed my snacks as what I might choose, but I def shouldn’t have all of that. I decide at snack time what I fancy. I tried posting snacks in my meal plan, but usually I got sidetracked/tempted. I tried not posting snacks at all, but that gave me carte blanche to eat anything and everything, lol. For the moment, it seems to be working for me to know what there is available and with a wide choice in case it turns out that something has gone! I’ve listed the syns required per snack, so there is a bit more flexibility. And it cons me into thinking I’ve a teeny wee bit of FREEDO-O-O-M, as Mel Gibson said!

Whiplashy - i've heard our local butcher is doing syn free stuff now too :j however, i'm not sure how to check it is actually syn free as SW don't check it *confused* so it could all be lies!:rotfl:

I may have slightly interrogated my butcher over how the stuff is being made :o If they have nothing to hide it won't bother them :rotfl:

B: quark, yogurt, raisins with Finn Crisp slices, coffee
L: veg stew (third day in the row, hope to finifh today...)
    D: risotto with veg

And I try to get more drinks in me today...

Hope you're feeling better ginvzt. I'm just trying to unpick your menu. Am I right in thinking you're having Finn crisps as your HEB? Milk in drinks as your HEA? and raisins and yogurt as syns?

That's really not fair!! So you've had all their syn free meals, added heaps of veg and lost zilch!! That's some advert for the ready meals! Thanks for trying anyway tweets.

fay, it's hard to put this tactfully:o but generally if you have been told to have 20 syns a day it's because you have a lot to lose. As the weight comes off they'll reduce the syns to the usual 'up to 15' a day. That's where we get the 105 a week from. I'd do as your consultant suggests and have your 20 until they suggest otherwise. One of the things about syns is that it makes the healthy eating plan sustainable. Eating completely without treats can be restrictive and you could give up because you feel deprived.

:T on the losses rolling in, quite a number since I last logged on. Good for you getting down low in the range denise. I couldn't get to WI this morning as I had a meeting. I had thought of going to another group tonight but it wouldn't be a true reading compared to morning WIs. So I'm aiming for next Thursday.

I'm envious of you with butchers doing SW products. They won't be official (I think that's partly as SW don't make money from it and it would need a lot of testing) but it has to be worth a try.

    MY EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: lentil and veg soup
D: gammon, SW chips, cauli and broccoli cheese
Syns: squirt of syrup, cheese sauce

Cheese sauce is a bit synful but I bought the most enormous cauliflower this week and I have to think of another way of serving it. Plus I just love cheese:D.

There was a discussion here on the thread about SW suggesting that people with more to lose can have more syns but no-one found anything to verify that.

I am on the social team at my class and can verify that some members get over 15 syns if they have a lot of weight to loose. One man used to attend my class could have 25 syns per day.

I can't find Kelkin brand pasta on the website but all other dried, gluten free pastas are free so I'm assuming that's free as well.

Great news, thank you for the advice

Yogurt is fat free, so that is free food. Since there was no meat today, I would call it a green day, so 2 HeBs?

Or have I muddled it all up again???
