Forgot meal plan
Breakfast Overnight oats with forest fruits, muller yoghurt, oats
L 2 warburtons bread syn of 1 4, spread syn 2 beans free
Banana muller yoghurt and lemon pudding syn free
S Asda good crisps 4.5 syn, milk with hea banana apple
Two things I'd say fay:- it doesn't look like much food! Where's your meal this evening?
- so far only forest fruits and an apple as Speed food and you should have at least a third, unless you're doing Green plan.

Hi there, I'm new here and just joined SW Online...
Looking forward to reading more stories and tips here.
I downloaded the Free Foods, a + b extras and Syns leaflets.
Have I got this correct?
Chicken Breast - Free food
Stir fry Veg - Free Food
Noodles 1 Syn / 100g
So this meal with 100g noodles would be 1 syn?
King Prawns - Free food
Sea Food Mix - Free food
Passata - Free food
Tomato double Concentrate - Free food
Herbs Dried - Free food
Pasta Dry Boiled 1.5 Syn / 100g
So this meal with 100g Pasta would be 1 syn?
While I am waiting for the books to be delivered, I have borrowed a 10 year Food Directory, it mentions king prawns, seafood, chicken breast, boiled eggs as been Free and Syned depending on if it is a Red or Green day, does this still apply?
If this still applies how can they be listed as free foods in the leaflet?
I thank you for any clarification.
Not sure what you're looking at, the main plan is now Extra Easy. whilst Red and Green still exist, it's not really a thing anymore for new people, and Extra Easy is the main plan.
My understanding of EE is that Pasta and noodles are free (if they're the dried ones)
So all the above meals would be free on EE, personally I'd add some form of sauce to the stir fry, so add some syns for that.0 -
Welcome smedley, I'll have a go at answering your questions. It is a bit confusing at first but you'll soon get the hang of it. Just keep on asking.
First a bit about the different plans. Briefly the current 'main' plan is Extra Easy. Taking your sample meal then a plate of food would have noodles, chicken and at least a third of a plate of stir fry veg. There is an express version called Extra Easy SP (Speed food and Protein) where the meal would be just half and half chicken and veg so no carb. The two 'old' plans are Red and Green. Green is like a vegetarian plan so any meat is synned. Red is a bit similar to EESP so plenty of meat and veg but any carbs have to be synned.
I'm assuming you're doing EE but will mention the other plans where you've asked.Hi there, I'm new here and just joined SW Online...

The syn value of noodles will depend on what type/brand you use. Dried noodles are free but various straight to wok types have oil in them I believe so have syns. Stir fry veg is free as it stands but depending on how you cook it you might be adding syns.
Chicken is free on Extra Easy and Red but not on Green.

On the Extra Easy Plan (and Green)
Pasta is similar to noodles. Dried pasta is free on EE but fresh pasta is not. So the above meal, made with dried pasta, would be free.
On Green you'd have to syn the seafood on Red you'd have to syn the pasta (although to confuse you further there is an option of using wholemeal pasta as a healthy extra).

Perhaps I've explained this above. If you think of Green and Red as Veggie/Carnivore options then the meat is free (but carbs synned) on Red but the Carbs are free (but meat & fish synned) on Green. Eggs are a protein food and free on all plans.
I thank you for any clarification.
I hope that helps but I'm sure others will be along with tips and advice very soon.:)0 -

Hello, sanjay (think I missed you popping in), amy and smedley. Have a seat and a chat.
meg, I’m sure I can smell that bacon!
You'll be happy to hear, maman, that DH (and I) have been watching Matt Le Tissier's 100 goals on Sky, several times this week. We keep missing the start, so we'll have to keep watching, lol!
Well, today I’ve spent my syns on the leftover pot roast & veg (2), some toast (4) with a hexa laughing cow light triangle, 3 spoonsful of Ambrosia light custard (2) = 8. That leaves me the luxury of just about anything for supper, so I’ll have 2 Garibaldi biscuits – I know how to live the high life!
Thursday’s menu will be
Breakfast: hexb muesli, mixed berries, splash milk
Lunch: assorted vegetable frittata
Dinner: marinated lamb leg steak with potato salad
Snacks: choose from e.g. hexa cheese, Garibaldi biscuits (2 syns each), Special K cracker crisps (4 syns), toast & jam (6 syns), chocolate biscuit (6 syns), Ryvita (1 syn)Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
well today was my weigh in - feeling pretty disheartened.
Lost 8lbs in my first 3 weeks, week 4 put on 1/2 pound and this week lost 1/2 pound so back where I was 2 weeks ago.
Been really good with my food this week, even started jogging last week!
I guess the trick is not to give up! Came out of group and so wanted to go and buy chocolate but resisted!
