lush - do you usually take eggs to work? I fancied it but i'm scared they'll smell  and everyone will moan:p sorry you're feeling pants at the minute x

Thanks Shala; I often bring eggs in....actually probably close to every working day most weeks! I usually bring them hard boiled but still in their shell then peel them and either slice/quarter for on my salads or just eat them whole. I've not found that they smell too much. I hard boil 4/5 on a Monday and eat them over the week.

I've weighed in today rather than tomorrow as I don't think I'll have chance to weigh myself in the morning and I'm finishing the challenge on...STS :/ not impressed with myself but I'm that little bit lighter than when I started. Booking wonder bairn's christening tonight as the rev is coming round to the house and her birthday is in one month(!!) so I am going to hammer it hard from today. I think I will buy some small treats in as a way of motivating myself each day and reminding myself I can have treats in moderation. Plus often when I do that I then find I don't even want the things whereas if I have none I crash and crave things all the time.

I have planned a mammoth cooking session which, as bf isn't away at all in March now, I will do either one Monday (and miss training - I'm not really needed every week plus parking is stupid at the spinal unit) or over a couple of Saturdays. That way I'll have a shelf of the freezer stocked with 'ready meals' for me and wonder bairn. I've even written it all down and today I'll write down what I need to make me more efficient!

It's wheelchair rugby :) the proper one aka 'murderball' not the sill tag rugby they've introduced as 'wheelchair rugby league' :) it's amazing and fun. the Nationals will be at the Olympic Park this year and I believe they are selling tickets so if your around London for the early May bank holiday...or fancy a trip everyone should come watch :)

    today:
Breakfast: heb wheat biscuits with warm milk from HeA, cuppa, bashed about banana (looks so unappealing!)
lunch: wedge of the delish frittata I made last night, plus I'm going to go out to aldi on my lunch break and get some salad items in for the house so I'll have some of that with it :) 1tbsp light salad cream (2syn)
tea: late one due to training so its wholegrain rice and chicken supreme. I think it's 25+ syns a jar :O so that's 6.5syns per portion - will definitely be making sure we freeze the left overs!
This is one of my 'treat' meals and I'm just being lazy today as we are at training until gone 8pm so I just chucked it in the slow cooker to avoid bf wanting a chippy tea! I think I will prepare in advance and try to do it so that for each Wednesday I make a meal before the day that I just have to reheat. Or bf can have a convenience thing (chicken nuggets and chips/fish fingers and chips etc) which I'll cook whilst he showers and I'll have a syn free omelette or something

I am an egg addict. That is it - I said it. I love soft boiled eggs and will have them most days for lunch at work when I have salad. My children are egg addicts too - even though they say they don't want, they can eat them non stop. Like this Sunday, I offered them eggs for breakfast, they said no, so I thought I will boil a few more anyway, so I can take them for lunch next day. Well, not only I had none left for lunch, I dodn't have any for breakfast either! I boiled 6 XL eggs, OH had one, I started one and both children turned on me and demolished not just that one, but also the other 4!

jockos, I think they are just being jelous. I don't agree that a diet should mean eating the same stuff over and over, I think everyone can enjoy a few treats once in a while.

When I went to the group in the UK, we had a couple (husband and wife), and the husband was doing really briliantly, and being the SOTW really, really often. And he would use flexible syns, so eat sensibly during the week, and then have a pub crawl on Saturday night or something similar (and that would involve quite a few pints and other things that are no no on a diet). But he really did briliantly and lost a lot of weight. He also was our slimmer of the year.

    So, keep enjoying the pizza!

Don't you feel they are a bit of a binder, I had to cut down my intake for the toilet problem and lost more lbs this week ? Don't know whether its anything to do with it

  • Hiya. Hopes out are all ok.
We had a different consultant this morning and it was like having teeth pulled!
I recorded a STS which is a little disappointing because I did feel like I'd had a loss but cest la vie. Quite a few of the other members had gained when they hadn't expected it and one lady had gained 9lb in the week so the general consensus was that her scales were out. She told us how all sw scales are calibrated so I guess we will see next week because if they were wrong, everyone should have a good weightloss. Even the slimmer of the week had only lost 1 1/2lb so I think that there might be a discrepancy.
So that is the challenge done for me and I haven't hit target. I will try again though if you will have me.
  • I rely on green vegetables, pulses, and seasonal fruits very much than meal and milk because they provide vitamins and minerals to my body. Minerals are also loaded in slad and fruit juices. I also love drinking coconut water that is quite rich in minerals.
I agree with you that we should good food stuffs for our body and nuts for our brain.

well my challenge numbers are rather sad.. think i'll sit the next one out :o

things going from bad to worse here, still on track foodwise but my scales aren't telling me that.. cant seem to do anything right lately!

well one positive, I suppose, was I got some of the new sausages and quite liked them, was expecting to hate them! :rotfl: https://instagram.com/p/zfrFPxmjbs/?modal=true

well done on SOTW tweets and JPS and for the double whammy from jock :T:T:T

You're meals always look so amazing mich. I do hope you stick around and get your mojo back very soon.

:T to all of those entering the challenge. I think these mini goals are excellent, far better than a distant target. I know many of you haven't achieved what you wanted but your targets were very aspirational in some cases. Not that it's wrong but every pound off counts as a step in the right direction.:A
Thanks, its just bad when girls are crying and you know what they're thinking.
 OMG! Surely your consultant can handle that There shouldn't be anyone left to get to that state. We have people at my group who don't lose much but when you get talking to them they invariably aren't following the plan properly. I'm always used as the resident expert on alcohol. I've never entered for any awards because I don't follow the plan properly (saving syns). So people know I eat virtually syn free during the week and then have wine syns at weekend. It makes me feel a bit like a wino but then I'm used to that.:D

I have crocs but like mildredd I don't really wear them any more. I used to take them on holiday to wear by the pool but now I'd rather take something less bulky. My dress style had definitely changed since I've lost weight. I wear jeans a lot more instead of black trousers. I wear skirts and dresses and heels and, like I said, a lot more colour than I used to.

Carvery went OK last night. I skipped the Yorkshire but had more roasties (about 4 pieces) than I should have and too much gravy. Plus one glass of wine. BUT I did have masses of Speed veg! Anyhow, that was yesterday, back on it today.

I've got gammon in the SC for tomorrow and will make lentil and veg soup later with the stock.

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for teas
L: JP cottage cheese and beetroot
D: liver & onions, cauli, broccoli, carrots, peas, mash
    Syns: gravy

I've got a HEA going begging so might have Finn crispbread later and try to go easy on milk to have some cheese.
  • Hi Everyone,
Hope you don't mind me joining your thread. Joined SW 5 weeks ago, albs down and 14 to go! Love reading what other people have - keeps me inspired. Really want to hit my target weight this time and I think SW is the way to go for me!
