Morning! Well done to SOTW and all the other fantastic losses!!!!!
Well, my cold is staying with me. So, I am staying home today. Left work early yesterday, as just could not keep going. But then had to pick up kids and take them out as OH had phone interview and it is not nice to have kids screaming around. So we went to a shopping center and had McDonalds for dinner. I know, it is going to be a million of syns, but at least i skipped fries and only had the McRibs sandwich (480 calories), salad (no dressing) and diet coke. While the kids enjoyed their cheeseburgers, fries and toys.
I am not sure of the meal plan for today yet. Not feeling hungry, so will see. I wanted to make the sweet potato curry one of these days, so maybe it will be today.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Morning everyone
Need to send some get well soon vibes out judging by the above posts.
Determined head on again this week. I'm 12lb off target now, which is not really that far if I get myself into gearIf I lost 1.5lb a week (which is possible if I don't sabotage myself I hope) that's only 8 weeks! BMI on SW online now shows as 25.4 which is so close to the healthy one I want!
I forgot to say last night that I had one of those annoying 'blip' weighs where it goes down then back up. It did it TWICE though. I must have been about half an ounce off a 2lb loss :rotfl:
Food plan for today - branflakes for breakfast, probably rice and veg for lunch (2 syns for uncle ben), hubby wants a pasta meal so I'll be making a veg packed tomato sauce to go on it. Other planned syns of a biscuit at playgroup 3/4 depending on what they have and 2 for vimto with my tea. It leaves me room but will try not to have many more:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Sorry jpscloud - I've checked and your last weigh in for the challenge was yesterday.. but at least you can start off the new challenge with a big loss when that gain comes back off
meg - that lunch looks lovely! congrats on your loss :T I think I've missed a week of yours on the chart though.. *confused* will you have a check and see where I've messed up?
mildredd - hope you're still reading and hanging around, hope everything's going ok.. noticed you haven't been on for a while xx
lush - do you usually take eggs to work? I fancied it but i'm scared they'll smell  and everyone will moan:p sorry you're feeling pants at the minute x
Chart to follow....
Thanks Shala - never mind, I have come quite close to my target and I'm really delighted to have achieved as much as that! Thanks for the congrats on SOTW as well, that softens the blow too!
Well done all the target hitters! :TI believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I'm starting to feel embaressed by my decent results in group, some people stick religously to the plan and gain weight, and I talk about Papa Johns pizza nights and flexible syns. Some of the snide comments are clearly aimed at me, I think it's mostly because they get upset and say what they think.
I think I might stop staying when I've done well.
Someone said it wasn't fair as I always win SOTW, I think I've genuinely won it about three times, and got it a couple more times as the other person hasn't stayed.0 -
jockos, I think they are just being jelous. I don't agree that a diet should mean eating the same stuff over and over, I think everyone can enjoy a few treats once in a while.
When I went to the group in the UK, we had a couple (husband and wife), and the husband was doing really briliantly, and being the SOTW really, really often. And he would use flexible syns, so eat sensibly during the week, and then have a pub crawl on Saturday night or something similar (and that would involve quite a few pints and other things that are no no on a diet). But he really did briliantly and lost a lot of weight. He also was our slimmer of the year.
So, keep enjoying the pizza!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I'd stop mentioning the pizza
I've found it's normally the blokes who win SOTW and often the same guy many weeks. It seems to come off faster for men. Don't worry about that part, it's just stupid sniping, but if you don't feel supported then stop staying.
A friend of mine - she and her mum have been going to SW for years and her brother did it for a while. I think he lost about 8 stone but pretty fast. It was a standing joke in their class that he would get SOTW and people would come up and ask what he wanted in his goodie bag next week!
Funnily enough last night one of the things our consultant was talking about not competing with others. For some it comes off fast and others take the slow and steady route but we are all trying to lose and getting there however we can:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Thanks, its just bad when girls are crying and you know what they're thinking.
Is there a Slimmer of the Year? When is that judged? Is it purely on weight lost or do we vote?0 -
Meg - You are on fire, well done lady, spread some of that motivation and enthusiasm about please!! :T
Jocks - I can totally relate to you, for a long time in group I was that person that got SOTW / SOTM & all the awards etc. People used to be quite jealous of me and I used to get snide little comments. The thing is though, every dog has his day. I said I wasn't taking anymore awards a long time ago so I couldn't be voted for them and haven't had SOTW in a long long time. Someone else now will be having their time. That's all it is. You also don't know what is going on behind closed doors and people can sit and say they've done x, y & z but who knows really!
Re meals off plan etc, I am a strong believer that you can have one and it is good for you. I always have done and personally always saw my biggest most surprising losses when I had been out for a meal or night out.
I think my body's just that used to everything now it struggles to lose even 0.5 lb:rotfl:
Mich - I hope things really do come good for you. Your meals always look fab.0 -

Jocks there is Biggest Loser and Woman of the Year and Man of the Year.
Biggest loser is determined by who has lost the most weight and so your group will be told who it is.
Woman / Man of the Year your Group vote for. If you meet the criteria after that you might be invited to Regional Final, I got to that last year.0 -
Morning
Thanks for the chart Shala, well done Tweets and Jpscloud for SOTW and well done everyone that's reached their target. :T
Jocko - you're doing really well and there are bound to be people in your group who are jealous. It's very rude of them to comment though. It seems a bit self defeating not to stay when you've done well but you can always rely on us to congratulate you.
Back later.
