Thanks for all the kind words.. You lot are fab x

Another day on track, on my long work weekend too so it's a minor miracle given all that's going on.. Perhaps it's the one thing I can control at the moment so something to focus on?

:T on completing your walk jock. Amazing feat!!

Thanks for the sympathy greentiger. Now I know how Mourinho feels. We should have had (at least) one penalty and their goalkeeper sent off! Came home to a lovely dinner though. I just can't believe the amazing gravy that the Hairy Bikers Steak makes for just 1 scant tsp of cornflour. I've saved some in the fridge for when I have LO veg for lunch in the week.

I adore pasties lois so I'd be no good working with you.:o Enjoy your last few weeks. I'd say an average of 1.5 lbs a week is good so you haven't been doing so bad (at abt 1.25) considering the meals out which are always a trial.

Good to see you posting rummer. Stick with it this week and maybe you'll have a good loss next week.

Just to let you know Sainsburys have the Linda McCartney sausages on offer at the moment £1 a box :j much cheaper than the SW ones

That's a good price shala but for 1 syn each I'm sticking to the Sainsbury's ones at the moment. I do plan to try the red onion ones though.

What I mean Maman is, that sometimes when it gets to mealtimes, I think of having my meal and suddenly feel a bit sick and don't want any, sometimes the thought of food makes me feel sick, and sometimes I am sick of eating.
I think it's a phase and probably will go away. Let's hope so because normally I love my food.:D

If you really don't fancy a meal wiz then I'd just skip it (assuming that's OK for your diabetes). I often don't feel hungry at lunchtime. Today I just had an apple and a tbsp. of cottage cheese. Some days I just let it go until maybe 3.30. What matters is that when you are hungry you eat healthy things. It's too easy to wait until you're starving then grab biscuits or toast.

Ive been popping by and reading your posts for a few days, and you all seem very motivated and doing very well with your weight losses.

I have at least 3 stone to lose,
Do you have any tips or hints to keep,on track, good things to eat?
Your food posts seem to show you are allowed a few extra treats too as syns, looking forward to these

I cant get to a SW club for a couple of weeks but will make an attempt to begin SW now.

Welcome! It'll be much easier for you when you've been to a group and got your books and had the introductory talk. Meanwhile I'd agree with reading the first posts and trying the 7 day menu. meanwhile why don't you post what you'd normally eat in a day and we would comment on what needs tweaking to make it SW friendly. And I wouldn't be me if I didn't say that top of the lost for good things to eat if fruit and veg and especially green veg!!:D

  • Anyone know how SOTM works? Is it whatever you were in the last week in Jan less what you are in the last week in Feb? That would make sense, but I know what SW are like with their weird rules.

Not massively hopeful at weigh in this week, last week I weighed in at 13st 1lb, which was the same as I weighed myself that morning, first thing with no clothes on. I normally weigh a couple of pounds heavier.

We're doing our Free Food taster tomorrow so I won't be eating tea before I go, really not sure what to take though. It has to be free food, no syns at all. i don't live far away so might take a pan of Chilli and Lentil soup.

I made SW Crisps the other day to try, sliced some potatoes really thin and covered them in fry light and cooked them. They came out really well, but I've never heard of anyone else having them. Are they deemed an abuse?

I had the salmon one earlier this week. It was very tasty and I had trouble eAting it all so I shared it with the dog🐶.
I'm having a couple weeks off low carb as I was in a bit of a stall. Will do SW for a while to see if it helps. It is lovely having pasta again although I'm staying away from bread because it is a trigger food for me. Once I start I just can't stop:eek:
Do miss my butter though, I can't eat that awful low fat marg stuff, it's like putting Vaseline on my veg:rotfl:
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!

    Good Morning :)

Sorry mich wont try the salmon pasta meal I don't like salmon and I don't like pasta ;):D
  • Hi - could I please join you for the next challenge? I joined SW a bit before Christmas and have lost 1 stone 2lb. I'm really pleased about it but I occasionally drop off the plan.

I'm on holiday this week, so I'm going to be keeping a food diary so that I don't think that I can overeat and catch up next week.

Next weigh-in 4th March (I can't get to any sessions within 30 miles this week). Aim to lose 2lb by then.
    Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200
    Grocery challenge February £100.91/£190

I'm so disheartened at how slowly this Christmas weight is shifting. Lesson learnt I won't be making the same mistake again.

Jocks - Yeah they are a tweak so have to be syned. Anything you change into something its not meant to be used for apparently. You could argue potatoes = crisps mind you. I wouldn't really worry to much about it to be honest unless you were eating loads of them on a daily basis. I'd probably just rather syn a packet of crisps. Well done on your walk! Great achievement.

Tweets - Thank you so much for the ready meal reviews! Interesting! And well done on being so close to target. Maintaining definitely can seem very different to losing, working out where you can relax a bit and what you need to do to stay in control etc. You'll suss it out when you get there! I just need to get back there now to join you. All it can take is something like Christmas to push you well and truly out of your target zone and

Feeling proper rubbish today, didn't get to sleep until after 4 am, slept in was late for work and feeling totally out of sorts. Feel like going for a fry. I wont though. Had wine and a Chinese over the weekend. Not too naughty but getting a fed up with myself for binging a the weekend and then feeling under pressure to make up for it during the week.

Need to take myself by the hand and have a little word with myself.

Honestly right now could go right home to bed. I nearly turned the car round this morning as I felt so ill with tiredness.
