Today:
B. Scrambled eggs with peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, curried. Spray oil, 2 syns (valid for rest of day as so little used).
L. 3 ryvitas, 40g rf cheddar, 1 tbsp pickle (1 syn).
D. Steamed salmon, broccoli, carrots and potatoes, chopped strawberries with 300g Ff yeovalley strawberry yogurt (2 syns)
That's the plan at least, am so hungry I could eat a deep fried horse. Missing cheese and nuts and all nice things I used to eat before, not daring to eat them now in case the hunger gets to me later in the evening and I have nothing to fall back on, no syns left.
I have again been reading about the higher fat diets and how eating moderately high fat and protein, reducing the carbs, how it is, in many diet experts' opinion, a better way to go than low fat high carb. How the brain functions better with fat intake, how low fat diets might be partly responsible for the increase in cardiovascular diseases and Alzheimer's, then I look at the successes that some of you have had with this diet and how much you lost and I am puzzled.
Why am I so hungry and feel such a sense of despair at the thought of another undressed salad, another egg scrambled in a tiny spray of oil instead of a nice dollop of butter?
This morning I nearly went back to my old low carb plan but remembered the interminable portions of smoked salmon in the morning, and feeling a bit fed up with it at the end.
Why can't I just have a nice fast metabolism and be able to mainline Ben and Jerrys and stay a size 10?
Sorry for moan, it just had to come out.
You will be pleased that I have so far stuck to the plan, and am determined to see what happens on Wednesday morning at WI.Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Just to let you know Sainsburys have the Linda McCartney sausages on offer at the moment £1 a box :j much cheaper than the SW ones
Picked up three, which is annoying me as I don't like odd numbers :rotfl:
Think the offer is on until the 3rd of March
We popped into Iceland as well today, the lady was refilling the SW freezer, I wonder how many times they've had to do that! Got to say the meals look huge, especially as they've put them next to the tiny weight watchers ones..

That's good wiz.:T I'm not sure what you mean about sick of eating. Do you mean too much food? If you have a small appetite there's no need to have large portions and you don't have to build in snacks if you don't want them. What really matters is that you eat the right healthy things.
What I mean Maman is, that sometimes when it gets to mealtimes, I think of having my meal and suddenly feel a bit sick and don't want any, sometimes the thought of food makes me feel sick, and sometimes I am sick of eating.
I think it's a phase and probably will go away. Let's hope so because normally I love my food.:D0 -

Ive been popping by and reading your posts for a few days, and you all seem very motivated and doing very well with your weight losses.
I have at least 3 stone to lose, have been following low carb high protein diet but it makes me feel so ill and 'blurgh' so have decided I would like to give SW a go, as I must admit I do love pasta, rice and beans!
Do you have any tips or hints to keep,on track, good things to eat?
Your food posts seem to show you are allowed a few extra treats too as syns, looking forward to these 😊
I cant get to a SW club for a couple of weeks but will make an attempt to begin SW now.0 -

Sainsbugs sell the syn free ones too, but they cost £2.00 per pack  even more expensive than W8rose at £1.70. However they also match price A$da and if you follow their price-match rules (you have to spend a certain amount, I think it is £20) and buy a certain number of items including obviously the ones to match the price, they give you a voucher for the difference, to be spent at the next shopping.
A$da sell the red onion ones for £1.48 per pack, I bought 4 in Sainsbugs (together with a lot of other stuff) and got a voucher back for £2.08, which I used immediately after to buy my Ryvitas! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
