Good morning,
Thank you again to all of you for your support and for writing about the experience of being in a group, the difference it has made and the difference between consultants.
On balance I really think I need to be in a group to see this weight go and never come back. I was ok doing it alone before (not SW) but this time I need all the encouragement I can get.
Now, problem: birthday party tonight. I know that there will be lots of food but mostly it will be vegetarian stuff, vege and beans stews and probably boiled rice, but also the salads will be dressed and the vege stuff will have some oil. She cooks in big batches though so probably not too much damage.
I need to stay off the cakey things though. I anticipate there will be a modicum of invisible syns consumed tonight so need to stay very light during the day, but not at famine levels or I shall scoff everything in sight as I get there!
So it is another eggs with spinach and tomatoes for breakfast and sausages for lunch day, with salad on the side, fruit for snacks and no hex until I get there (where I might treat myself to small portions of bread and cheese).
Wish me luck, this is the sort of occasion that makes me fall and stuff my face. Focus, focus!
Incidentally, BIG RESPECT to Maman for skipping the Chinese New Year treat, sounds like on this occasion the saying "nothing tastes as good as thin feels", trying your slim jeans, really worked, good for you!
DH and I have started rating food of very high quality and deliciousness as "tasting better than thin feels", it is a rare compliment, like a 3 Michelin stars, and seldom awarded. The one that we awarded recently was our very delicious fish and chips lunch in Whitby, the capital of good fish and chips, unsurprisingly! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Good MorningLoving it!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh poor you mich. Sounds like you've really been through the mill BUT now you're back in the zone! Onwards and upwards with the salmon.....butterflies!!!;)
Thanks for today's review tweets. I think you're admirable adding half a plate of veg.
caterina, I planned a Chinese New Year treat tonight but when I put on my clean (tight) jeans decided against it. I knew that the meal itself would be OKish but couldn't resist spring rolls. I just love them:drool:. They'll just have to keep for another day.
Our corned beef hash tonight was just yummy. I adapted this recipe
http://theenglishkitchen.blogspot.co.uk/2010/09/baked-corned-beef-hash.html
I've made it once before but tonight was even better. I don't use cream. Last time I mixed the horseradish with milk but tonight I mixed it with FF yogurt and just a splash of milk. I put cheese on top but counted it in my HEA as had little milk today. Last time I had sliced tomatoes on top too ( to up the S food). Served with broccoli and cauli as wanted to use it up.
Thank you I love veg so no problem for meone_society wrote: »Weight loss is done, only through your strong commitment with food schedule and exercise. These are two best way in every type to lose control without any loss or side effect.
Welcome one society
Sorry to disappoint you but I don't exercise and have still lost weight0 -
Hi all
I remembered to get on the scales before eating or drinking this morning and managed a STS. Probably a lucky escape having disappeared Belgian chocolates and chocolate fingers this week - so much for not eating chocolate, I can resist buying it, but not eating it when it's a prize.
Wizkid - more snow, yuck! I'm with you, I like it on Christmas cards but that's where it can stay. Hope it doesn't last long.
Djenks - I'm a bit like you with food, not so much with exercise. I plan, plan, plan. Every meal goes on a list before I go shopping and I buy the food I need, no extras. My friend thinks I'm obsessive about it but I know I wouldn't stick to the plan if I didn't. The positive side to it is that once the plan is down on paper I can stop obsessing.
Beanie - sorry to hear you're still suffering, I hope you get better very soon, being ill gets you down. I think I've turned the corner, although I tackled a big cleaning job yesterday and exhausted myself, I've got no energy.
Mich - sorry to hear about your work situation, hope things turn out ok for you. You're doing well to stay on the tracks with that kind of stress.
Caterina - I like that saying, thanks for reminding me of it.
Meg - shame about your BIL double booking himself, I bet you were really looking forward to eating out.
Catch you all later, have a great weekend.

Morning all
Djenks I'm an absolute SW bore, both my mum and best friends get regular updates, photos of meals etc. I find it really helps me, I'm always on the internet looking for ideas and new things to cook. Although, I seem to find one thing tasty and then become obessed with that! I think it's just human nature, I tend to think of it a positive thing ie how committed I am this time. I have withdrawn bread this week and ramped up the speed food, maybe doing something like that would help you mix things up a bit?
Re the no bread, I have decided to have a wholemeal roll today, having a fakeaway for tea and burgers aren't burgers without a roll! It's only one and its my hexb, I think I might allow myself one a week. I have done well to swerve my usual sandwiches toast and fruit loaf :rotfl:
Off to bingers this afternoon, will stick to the diet coke and have lunch before I go so I'm not tempted to scoff chips! After my success with the scratchard last week I'm hoping that will carry forward to this week!
B: Speed fruit and yogurt
L: Baked spud, tuna and salad cream (1 syn for salad cream and 1 for marge), large saladQuorn veggie burger, bun and cheese (hexa and b), fried onion (frylight), tom sauce and mustard (2 syns) and a scraping of butter (1 syn) sw chips and maybe beans too!
Lots of speed fruit throughout the day, still got 11 syns so might treat myself to a choc mousse and s&v rice cakes later.
Have a great weekend everyone xxxx0 -

Thanks everyone,
I may try a list and plan it my help once its out of my head.
I've been going for about 6 weeks now and I think i'm a bit overwhelmed.
I didnt eat too badly in the first place so I have just tweaked things a bit.
Although no more KFC or Mcdonalds!!0 -
Mich - sorry to hear all your news.. hope your daughter finds a job soon x
djenks - crabapples suggestion is a really good one, maybe if you can't do a whole week's planning at once, just allocate yourself 10 minutes of an evening to plan the next day and then don't give it another thought.TakeItEazy wrote: »for Shala - 1lb loss very happy with that after peanut gate but disappointed with myself as could have been more of a loss and should have been to lose the gain from last week. Well done everyone else and big hugs for those in need :AI beg to differ.. you're over half way to your target you set with one week to go!! You can't change what you've eaten so no point dwelling
Well i'm having a unexpected SP day - I decided to make peanut butter flavour baked oats for breakfast  so 2.5 syns for peanut hottie and choc shot and heb for oats.. was going to have it with a banana before realising we had none
Then I decided to make the Beef in red onion gravy with veg crush - using the British beef from my butcher  - not an ounce of fat on it! Poor British cows with their unworthy reputation :rotfl:
There's a lot of onion in it  and I added some carrots so technically not like the ready mealI have aunt Bessie's carrot and swede mash to go with it. 0.5 syns per 100g
So menu for today - SP - please point out if i'm wrong somewhere
B - baked oats (heb), peanut hottie (2), choc shot (0.5), quark, apple
L - ryvita (heb), pickles, cheese (hea), salad
T - beef in red onion gravy with veg crush, (0.5)
S - crisps (4.5) milk (2)Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
