Re the bread debate, I love it but (luckily) can't eat it and the gf stuff isn't that nice that I would eat it like I did 'normal' bread. Apart from Genius fruit bread, now that I can eat (and did the whole bloody loaf :-() with butter Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thanks x
Have 2 smiley faces on my food diary.. Baby steps and all that! :rotfl:
Am at work and this is usually the crisis time.. The chaps I support are in bed, I'm a night owl and always up late.. Crisp butties, peanut butter on toast, more crisps!!.. Well it's not happening tonight, my smiley face and syn total have been recorded and not blowing that again

Thank you Shala, I already make my own yogurt, would not use skimmed milk but I will try with semi-skimmed and see how it goes.
Re. attending group, I shall give another go, in fact I might get a 6 for 5 card and see how it goes.
All was well and going to plan, then I went to a Chinese New Year celebration and had some food, not much, mind you, a tbsp of fried rice, 2 small spring rolls, a tbsp of veg curry and a few pieces of sweet and sour tofu (no sauce). I reckon I must have totted up my 15 syns, plus a few estimated ones during the day (spray oil, yogurt) I am prob. on around 18, but have eaten so lightly during the rest of the day that am not too worried, the scales will tell. I gave my whole glass of wine to DH, so got something to feel virtuous about! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Denise - British cows are too fat???? :rotfl: may be they should be on SW too!!
xx
Loving it!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It's been a stressful few weeks, relationship break up which has turned a bit nasty.. Daughter lost her job and council cuts to our department meaning half of our team could be downgraded and wages cut.. Meals have been on plan as always but comfort eating bad habits have crept back in..
Oh poor you mich. Sounds like you've really been through the mill BUT now you're back in the zone! Onwards and upwards with the salmon.....butterflies!!!;)
Thanks for today's review tweets. I think you're admirable adding half a plate of veg.
caterina, I planned a Chinese New Year treat tonight but when I put on my clean (tight) jeans decided against it. I knew that the meal itself would be OKish but couldn't resist spring rolls. I just love them:drool:. They'll just have to keep for another day.
Our corned beef hash tonight was just yummy. I adapted this recipe
http://theenglishkitchen.blogspot.co.uk/2010/09/baked-corned-beef-hash.html
I've made it once before but tonight was even better. I don't use cream. Last time I mixed the horseradish with milk but tonight I mixed it with FF yogurt and just a splash of milk. I put cheese on top but counted it in my HEA as had little milk today. Last time I had sliced tomatoes on top too ( to up the S food). Served with broccoli and cauli as wanted to use it up.0 -
Well done on losses :T
Mich - well done on getting back in the zone. :T It certainly sounds as though you are having a tough time with all that is going on. Take care of yourself xx
I am feeling less inclined to give the Iceland Singapore Noodles a try if they are going to be watery - hate watery things on my plate. We find a lot of the SW recipes have loads of liquid in them - we cut the amounts in quite a few of them.
Washer is whirring away quite nicely, catching up on a little bit of the soaps and will be having a little walk to Mums soon - we enjoy an early morning cuppa and put the world to right :rotfl: By the time I get there - will be well before 8, she will have most, if not all her housework done/washing will probably be dried and she is only 87 - puts me to shame.
Will be off to Lidl for the top up shop then with DH.
Have a good day everyone and enjoy that walk jock.

Morning,
Have any of you become completely obsessed with food and what you are eating and when with SW?
I constantly seem to be thinking about it to the point it's not nice and making me feel quite upset :-(
I'm also obsessed with walking enough and making sure I at least do my 10000 steps a day. Which I haven't been the last week which makes me feel worse.
I expected ST to be a positive experience but I'm not so sure now.
My Consultant has said just to eat free food and not worry about anything else?0 -
Morning everyone. 3 days on plan now -feeling virtuous!
Going to have a 'fryup' this morning for breakfast. I think it will end up being about 8 syns with sausages and a couple of hash browns but will fill me up for the day.
If I feel really full will probably not bother with making a cottage pie tonight and do it tomorrow instead so I've got dinner for sunday & monday sorted. We usually have burger and chips (SW style) after WI on tuesdayMay be jacket potato instead.
djenks - how long have you been at SW now? Are you naturally obsessive about things and it's just carrying over to the food and exercise? I do think about food but it doesn't get me down and if that's what is going on for you then you'll need to find some strategy for dealing with it. How about meal planning once a week and just sticking to that so you know what you will be eating and when? I don't have any better suggestions but maybe someone else might.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Good morning everyone, we have SNOW. I hate the stuff I only like it on Chrstmas Cards. I thought we were getting closer to SPRING.
Well done all those losers, :T
I hope I get a better result tomorrow when I get weighed it's doubtful after my 2 bad slip ups. Still if I haven't lost I will know why. When I am really good , nothing much happens. Still, we will have to see and keep plodding along.:D
I hope this snow doesn't last too long ,the weather forecast said sleet on Sunday no mention of Snow today, but, it's here. Let's hope it's soon gone.:)0
