  • I don't really see what products there are to push? Ours just has the bars and scan bran on a table before you pay so you can pick them up, there are also some books and a magazine. But I guess if she was more driven, she'd care if she sold more Scan Bran than anyone else and maybe push it a bit more.

  • I think there is a difference between an old school SW consultant who has been doing it for 21 years like mine or someone newer, who seem to be a bit more target focussed. We have a lady in ours who has lost a stone in five years, she doesn't care. But other consultants would have made her feel bad until she left and stopped messing up her stats.

Thanks for all the input on the walk, 23 miles will take about 8 hours I hope, also 3500 feet of climbing as well. I like the idea of a cooked breakfast and using my HEB for something other than cereal. I'll report back when its over.

We are quite lucky with our consultant jock - she is new to the game - I started her first class 10 months ago and she is so supportive without being pushy. She has done SW herself and lost over 4st. Well done to your consultant for supporting the lady who has lost a stone in a five years - the lady maybe finds its a way of keeping her weight in check and she is probably eating healthier than if she wasn't doing SW.

Your 23 miles and 3500ft climb put me to shame :o. Have mentioned to friend that we might go for a walk (probably around 2 miles) each week through lent - ok - we all have to start somewhere :p:D

Can I ask jock, did you walking before losing weight or is this something new to you. If its new - its a bl00dy big NSV :T:T:T

Fay - Peanut Hottie is a Hot Chocolate Style Drink. Peanut Butter with Chocolate. I got it in Tesco. If you like Peanut Butter you will like it. Its 4 syns for a drink. I've only had it once but it was nice, Shala has been making desert type things with it. I think !

I love Peanut Butter so its right up my street.

A good consultant can make all the difference, I've had 3 and there has only been one out of that 3 that I have really found good.

Jocks I find the countdowns really get pushed in our group and also when there are retention figures to be calculated etc the supportive messages are ridiculous and when there not its radio silence lol

I had the salmon farfalle? One last night. I thought it was delish! And so much I couldn't finish it. I had put extra veg on my plate though. Next time I might cook a filet of salmon to add to it and share the meal with someone.
I took a picture of it but don't know how to put it here. Much easier on facebook:T

Does anyone think any of these meals would be suitable for an SP day?

I'm another that can't post pictures. All my IT knowledge seems to have developed through 'need to know' so maybe photos is the next step! I googled the ready meals and noticed that the menus are on the Iceland website, so there's no need to even buy any to get the recipe. Of course we're one step ahead thanks to tweets!! I'd say that all the ones that don't have pasta/noodles/potatoes could be used for SP although I've not looked carefully yet.

I'm not sure about the no weighing at home but I'm trying to resist. I think there's an element of it reassuring me that I'm doing okay (but not great) so I cheat a bit thinking it'll be fine. If I don't weigh I've no idea whether things are getting better or not. Will see how long I can hold out, but thinking it would be nice to make it to WI on Tuesday and get a surprise (but it'd better be a good one!).

I never weigh at home. Scales were thrown out years ago because I (literally) grew to hate them and never replaced. I use my jeans to tell me how I'm doing. I've put a clean pair on this morning so quite snug and made me decide NOT to have an off plan meal tonight!

Am giving myself a break, though, and got ryvitas, they don't upset my stomach and 4 are a very reasonable portion.

May I ask, how many of you follow SW just here and how many go to groups?

I'm a fan of the Finn crisps but I've never seen them on offer like Ryvita.

I went to a group every week for 10 months. My consultant falls into the 'nice but dim' category. She doesn't think just parrots everything she's been told. She doesn't have the skills to manage a group discussion either. If the answer to a question isn't in the script she has to scurry back and ask. What kept be going was some of the nice people I've met there ( a bit like on here really!:D) who I'd never have met otherwise. Now I'm at target go about every three weeks or so mainly to maintain access to the website but also to ensure that weight NEVER (I'm with you there lantana;)) goes back on again.

I've done my meal plan for the week so off to Aldi soon:j
    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast
L: not hungry yet. I'll eat the lone apple in the fruit bowl and wait until later!
D: corned beef hash and broccoli
Syns: weekend wine:D scrape of spread and whatever's in corned beef

Had the Singapore Noodles for dinner last night, really tasty but sauce a bit watery, although I did do it in the microwave so might be better done in a pan. Will definetly try this recipe myself.

Re bread, this is my absolute downfall so I don't buy it often.

Off for a meal at the harvester tonight really looking forward to a mixed grill.

Have to say WOW to the fabulous losses coming in.

  • Hi everyone - just reporting in with a loss of 2.5lb this week - and I was Slimmer of the Week for the first time! Woohoo! Feel so much better having lost the weight and switched to a healthier way of eating. I don't eat bread and have ditched the junk food in favour of fruit. I'm cooking more meals from scratch too, another benefit of SW. Thanks to everyone for the tips and motivation xx

    Hi, me again!

Just had a look on Iceland's website and a few of the meals would be good for SP if you have them with some speed veg - there's chicken pizzaiola, as mentioned before, plus chicken tikka, beef and vegetable crush (swede is speed isn't it?) and the meatballs.
