I get the feeling you're pleased with yourself, and so you should be, that's a brilliant result, well done! :T

Thanks for reviewing the ready meals and for posting the recipe on the pack. It looks very nice, but 6 cloves of garlic in 1 portion? Everyone would be backing away!

    LL :)

Thank you :) I was really pleased I always stand on scales 3 times to make sure weight same :D

I couldn't taste the garlic but when I put 2 cloves in the homity pie the garlic was strong so I left it out when I made the homity again.

Well done tweets - you've also meet your target for the challenge :j:j

Crabapple - what a good idea for lent!! not sure I could do it though, i'd be too curious..

Beanie - hope the lurgy leaves you and Lois soon xx

There was a question on the website asking about why the meat isn't British and it was kind of side stepped:naughty: .. you would have hoped that they'd have kept it in the country but I guess it doesn't work out cost effective enough!

Well I managed to STS tonight.. miracle of miracles. Technically I put on 3lbs last week so this week I've lost it again but in my SW book/record I've stayed the same as I didn't go to class last week :j:T well happy with that!

I need 1lb this week coming to get to 13.7 which is what I wanted to be by my birthday so i'm a little ahead of target as we're still 3 weeks away!

So I pledge to try and lose at least 1lb this week :D

I got my copy of the Food Glorious Food book too, had a quick look and it's not a great book for someone who already likes to cook as it's basic recipes - never mind i'll still try some of them!

off to eat my treat doughnut  "see" you all tomorrow!

    Thank you :)

Depending on weight next week I will have to decide for next target if to post loss for goal I set or for more so I go under goal ;) Not going to think about that til time comes :D :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Fantastic results tweets and beanie Well done both of you. :T:T:T

Snaffled a bit of the SW tikka ready meal today and had it with loads of veggies. Not bad for ready meal - not that I am an expert but might keep a couple in the freezer for emergencies. Wouldn't mind trying the noodles (awaiting your critique tweets ;)). Our Iceland only had three meals left  I suppose things will calm down soon.

Still got hea and heb to have - ummm - what shall I have :D

Well done to all the losers, you give me hope.

In the end for dinner I had 4 ryvitas hex with 90g ricotta hex and free steamed veg with lemon juice. Full fat yogurt with marmalade as a late evening snack as I was really hungry before bed, and reading the book I seem to understand that on the SP plan, which I am trying to follow, I could have a second hex and added 10 hazelnuts to the yogurt, if not right never mind as it would just add 2 1/2 syns to a very low syn day.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating (or not, as is the case) next Wednesday.

Am keeping low syn because Saturday I am going to a friend's birthday party and will eat off plan, hopefully not too much because she cooks lots of veg curries and stews and boiled rice, but I shall have salad with Dressing on, oil in the veg etc so need to be prepared in advance.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Well done, tweets and beanie.
Thanks for the SW meal reports, tweets.

Well things went to plan today, SW wise – at last! Tomorrow I’m out for lunch, so back in the danger zone. Here’s the plan:
Breakfast: Linessa 0% fat pear yogurt (2 syns), banana & clementine
    Lunch: out – Italian
Dinner: not sure, I’ll try to balance against whatever I have at lunchtime, so maybe scrambled egg, bacon & tomato, maybe hexb toast
Snacks: maybe hexa 3 mini babybel light with grapes
Lots of ifs, buts and maybes there; hoping the flexibility will make it easier to keep to a good SW plan.
    Planned Syns: 2

Today was the first day I did not feel wiped out. I still have the cough, but it is much less debilitating, so I’d say it’s taken a good 10 days to glimpse the light at the end of the lurgy tunnel.

Apparently in our local Iceland stores consultants are going to be there on Saturday promoting SW and the new ready meals. They'll look right idiots if there's no stock!

Thanks for your review tweets. I'm not a fan of potato in curry and I like more of a sauce but it's good to know.

I'm back to bad habits again tonight. DH 'persuaded' me to have chocolate and cheese again. It was only a small taste of each but I'm cross for giving in so easily.

I had the salmon falafel? One last night. I thought it was delish! And so much I couldn't finish it. I had put extra veg on my plate though. Next time I might cook a filet of salmon to add to it and share the meal with someone.
I took a picture of it but don't know how to put it here. Much easier on facebook:T

Does anyone think any of these meals would be suitable for an SP day?
