thanks so much everyone xxx
wrote a mega post but its disappeared.. pah!
anyway the gist of it was that I never felt deprived following SP, the next 2 days will be the same as already have things I need to use up.. trying cauli rice tomorrow, its not a fave veg of mine, never have it as it is but have wanted to try it as rice with a curry..
and the spiralizer is getting a whirl tonight for stir fry veggies and salmon..
Katie Hopkins is a vile woman!
Cauliflower rice is _pale_ I figure you have to like cauliflower to like it though :rotfl:
Thanks for reminding me again, my spiralizer still hasn't come and nothing from amaz0n at all to explain where it is.. I might email them after all they were happy to take the money!!!
Can't face carrot and swede mash for tea, it's not a favourite, so having normal mash instead.. I'm just having a normal EE day after all.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

I'm definitely up for the challenge! I think I'll aim to lose 21lbs over the 8 weeks, that will get me going
thanks everyone for the warm welcomes!0 -
Shala - can you put me down for 8lb for the challenge please (ever the optimist, I know
)
Tomorrow I'm gonna do up a batch of butternut squash & sweet potato soup (with some added chilli flakes for noms) to do me for lunch in work for most of the week.
Another attempt at an EE day today
B: raisin wheats, SS Milk & cup of tea (HEB, HEA & 1 syn for sugar)
L: subway chicken & ham salad (lettuce, onions, peppers & a small bit of cheese) & southwest dressing (free, 5 syns for cheese & 5 for dressing)Chicken curry with mushrooms & onions & boiled rice (free, 4 syns for mayflower curry sauce)
Snacks: Apple
Drinks: 7up free & NAS squash
I think that's the most S foods I've had all week so should hopefully fully qualify as an EE day!
I'm trying very hard to get a bit more veg and some fruit into my diet as I struggle with those
Welcome to all the newbies and welcome back to the folk returning :hello:0 -
frogga, Green is still on the website so no problem keeping going with it. It might be worth taking note of the changes to the S (Speed food, formerly SF) and focusing more on those than the fruits on the 'old' list. And filling yourself up on the P (Protein) foods like your famous beans rather than too many potatoes/rice/pasta. So (for veggies) they're saying roughly that a meal of veg & pulses is better than the same meal with potatoes. HEXs as normal I think but I haven't checked amounts.

Hmm Thank you Maman. I find it worrying when they change things? I'm so used to doing what I'm doing. I know it works too, but I may think about not having the wm roll for breakfast with my beans eggs and mushrooms then? Oh no, that's my HEB? So it's the carbs that were Free like pots and pasta and rice? OK, so no potato with my tea? Just he chilli and the veg? I think I could get my head around that little change?

Help with SP, it's quite difficult :-(
I had too much P for breakfast (bacon, mushroom & cheese omelette with baked beans) & all S for lunch (1 chopped Apple & 2 satsumas chopped in skimmed milk yogurt).
The cheese was a HEb & the yogurt from my syns.
But it's really hard to half & half S & P :-(
I'm having a tuna salad for dinner, so that's an easy S & P.0 -
BTW Daisy you are welcome, sort of. You're making me nervous though as you look very young and mischievous so I'm anxious that I'm gonna be chased, played with or even eaten. If you can behave with dignity and respect for all little creatures on the thread, like me and shala as Mich does, then you may stay. But I'm watching you!Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

If you are doing an SP day, then you eat half speed foods (most vegetables and some fruit, see the lists posted above) and half protein, plus 1 HEA and 2 HEB. That means, as you say, no rice, pasta, potatoes, noodles, etc.0 -

That's right, of course, but hard for vegetarians like frogga as they don't have meat to make up the protein.
Frogga, SP is just meant to give a boost so stick to Green if you want as I suspect many veggies will. You're right about sticking to your roll, in fact you're allowed 2 x HEB on Green (and SP).
lauri, you're doing well for someone that struggles with veg. If I'm out I like the Pret a Manger Salad Nicoise. It's totally free (probably SP as it has egg and tuna) and the dressing comes in a separate pot. So I just add a small drizzle which can't be more than a couple of syns.0
