I love beans and pulses but there are only so many I can eat without unpleasant side effects. If I were doing EESP, I would have to design a diet that excluded:
    Meat
    Fish
    Nuts
    Flour products
    Fat
    Sugar
    Carbohydrates
    All branded products

I've also got to try not to spend too much and find foods that all 4 members of my family will eat. So that's really extra easy! I'm not saying don't do it, but I do think it is disingenous to call it easy in any way. I do have days where I eat mainly vegetable soup and apples, which do boost my weight loss. It definitely is like being on a diet though.

  • Well third day of EESP and another lb lost, so lost 4lb according to my scales, not too shabby. Am taking the kids to Blackpool tower tomorrow but planning to come out of there and get a Subway salad to keep me on track.

Congrats on your shiney Mich - and well done on losing 3.5lbs!!
I think she will say it was really easy and all fatties need to do is eat less and move more.

To be fair to her i'm a fatty because i eat more and move less... i don't have any psychological issues with food, i just like it.. a lot :D and hate exercise..

Do agree with Meg though - she's like an attention seeking child..

Just taking 15 minutes off to eat my lunch.. carrots and chicken basically with ryvita i was meant to have for breakfast. I've managed half and i'm actually too stuffed now to eat anymore!

I've tried to make myself feel really full of healthy stuff as they're having KFC again at work and i've turned it down like a good girl :A

I've got to say i'm craving a big jacket potato or pasta now after only a few days of EESP, i don't know if's its sugar withdrawal though after the overload of it the other day.. never mind, i'll plod on and hopefully it'll see a positive result on the scales!
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

I watched the KH programme too, and although I think she is a very horrid person, I did find some of what she said was true. Even though I do have an issue with food, like she has with exercise, I do believe anyone can lose weight. I do think I can do it if I want to, I just don't try hard enough. That's the difference. She is determined, self disciplined and driven, and I'm just too easily distracted by the desire to binge. I do think there are too many people that make 'excuses' about why they are chubby. I don't want to do that. I'm chubby because like Shala, I eat more and move less ;)

Well done by the way Mich xxxxx

I definitely think SW missed an opportunity here. Extra booklet, recipes and info on how to have a healthy, balanced, nutritional vegetarian diet without relying on that Quorn stuff. More and more people prefer a vegetarian diet, for all sorts of reasons
