  • Hey guys. Haven't left the group, I promise! I've just been so unwell. Infection after infection. Not followed plan. Been pretty much looking at 4lb gain from last week, all the meds and lack of exercise. Feeling very fed up and down. Not been online and about 100 pages to catch up on, lol.

    Hope everyone is ok.

Sorry for not updating in over a week.

Hello all, sorry haven't been able to read back yet, but hope everyone is doing well.

Reporting a 4lb loss this week, and my 1 stone award :j

I feel a bit of a fraud because I didn't think I'd had a brilliant week, to be honest, but I'll take it!

This week will be harder because of being on half term, so hoping for 1lb off or STS next Monday.

Edit: just wanted to add my kindest thoughts for you TIE.

Woo Hoo great result, well done you.

  • Hey guys! TIE I'm thinking of you!

Tweets, that's so lovely, Poppy looks so friendly. I'm always being bothersome and asking people if I can stroke their dogs if they look friendly, I'd be making a beeline to you if I saw you with her in the street haha. I just wish getting my own pet isn't so far away (another full year of my masters and then however long it takes to find myself in a house where pets are allowed ugh :( )

B: 2 alpen light bars (hexb), banana, 3 segments of a tangerine (it wasn't mine, I snaffled some in a seminar ha!)
L: salad (lettuce, peppers, cucumber, sweetcorn, red onion, jalapenos), turkey breast, extra light mayo (counting 3 syns to make sure I cover it)
D: roasted pepper, onion, spring onion, tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms and then I blew all of my syns and my hexa on essentially half a block of halloumi! It felt so decadent haha.
    S: pineapple, grapes, strawbs.

If somebody has the time, please could they give me a run through of the green plan, if that's allowed? I can't find it anywhere on the SW site and think they might have taken it off (although honestly it could still be on there, I just seem to go in circles navigating it it's awful), and I do have to force myself to eat meat most days so would like the option but I have no idea what it entails!

Well done and don't forget that's a whole 250g pack of butter or lard, if you look at one its quite impressive to think you have lost it.

Not sure if this link will work

I found it by going to My Weight Loss Plan, then Find out More then putting Green Plan in the Search box.

    They don't make it easy!

It's obviously an old document as it hasn't been updated so still mentions Superfree etc but all the basics of the plan are there.

  • Oh maman you're wonderful thank you so much! No they really don't make it easy at all! I hate using even the recipe finder, I have to really force myself to go through it haha.

No problem. I edited my post to say that it's a bit out of date. So while all the basics are there make sure you have up to date Healthy Extras and (although it's not essential) plenty of Speed food from the current list.
  • Sorry to be a nuisance and double post, but having read through this, have I accidentally had myself a green day? I didn't realise you could count some meats as a hexb... And then it says I can have '1 or 2 hexas', is that for me to decide? So I could have had 2 hexas of halloumi and synned the rest of it?

Yes, it's your choice how many HEXs you have. Most people doing Green have 2 of each I think.

You're allowed 35g of halloumi so 70 g of it could go down as 2 x HEAs. If it's a 250g pack then that's still a lot of syns! (16 syns for 100g).;)

You're allowed 110g of cooked turkey so assuming portion not too big then that and your Alpens make your 2 HEBs.

Just to confuse you further then you can also have cheese as a HEB on Green (as well as HEA) so you could allow another 35g of halloumi for that.

The benefit on your menu today is that turkey breast is only about 6 syns for 100g compared to 16 for (full fat) halloumi so you're better off synning the turkey. HTH

If you have time, then try posting your menus the day before then we can help before you syn!!:rotfl:
