Beautiful dog tweets :) Good on you for getting a rescue too! We've got 4 cats, all were rescues one way or another. We don't really seem to go out and get them as much as acquire them :rotfl:

Aww thanks, very kind of you x

My daughter always says my meals look lovely and hers gets slapped on a plate! :rotfl:

Had the leftover chilli tonight on a jacket with salad.. Always tastes nicer the next day ;)

Yep, your meals put me to shame as well! We had the leftover chilli with SW chips last night and it was lovely, and definitely tasted better. Hubby was very taken with it - shame I'll never be able to make it the same again :rotfl:

Just made 3 huge platters of sandwiches. Not exactly SW cooking but it's baby boy's birthday party this afternoon (actual birthday tomorrow) and we have a buffet. If I stick to the wholemeal sandwiches and salad it won't be a huge amount of syns. Note the If...

This time last year I had just started maternity leave and was happily looking forward to a couple of weeks relaxing. By the evening it became apparent that wasn't going to happen!

Good morning. Nothing to declare this morning. Not a sausage have I lost.
It Must have been because I haven't eaten as I should . I haven't been well this week and not felt like eating food of any kind.
Let's hope this coming week will be better. Hope everyone else has lost x
  • Hi everyone

Sorry have not been on for a while as OH has been very ill and in and out of hospital. I have lost the plot with the weight loss and put on 7lb over Christmas/New Year.

My excuse is OH has lost over 5st over 3months and is on a build up diet so house is full of forbidden food and my willpower does not work well with stress.

However I have lost 5st myself over the last year and know I must get a grip. OH is due to have some major surgery soon and it is at a Hospital 2-3 hours car travel from where we live so will see how I get on.

May try and do the new EE for a week or two.

Will try and post when I can.

    Weight loss since 6/01/2014: 70lb
  • Oh outoffunds! I hope everything goes ok and he gets better soon!

Weigh in day tomorrow so hopefully i have a loss.... even a small one. My friends fiance hasnt seen me since i started SW again and wasnt aware i was going again. But i walked into the house to mind their kids the other night and the first thing he commented on was how skinny i looked :o:p:D sooooo not skinny..... yet! But he made me blush and grin from ear to ear

Annnnd was in the garage this morning and a random woman on the tills (no idea what her name is but i recognise her face) asked me had i lost weight cuz i looked thinner! :D:D:D:D .... starting to remember whyyyyy i liked SW the first time round so much!

    Anywho, how is everyone???
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
  • Morning all, hope you all had a lovely day yesterday

Tweets your Poppy is gorgeous. I have a rescue cat and while he slightly bananas because of all the horrible things that have happened to him before he came to me, after 5 years of not really being very fussed about me he now has become the sookiest cat ever! Feels like all the hard work has paid off finally, even if I do have to give him a taste of EVERY meal I eat!! :rotfl:

I am ramping up the walking as from today, the cold snap has finally disappeared so no excuses really, plus I have new joggy bottom legging things that I spent £15 on so need to get the use of them!

I also treated myself to a scratchcard yesterday and won £50 (soooo much better than a Valentines card!) so might pop into Marks and Sparks and get some of their 2 for £5 fruit pots.....they are so expensive I don't normally bother but I am going to treat myself to try and up my speed a bit.

    Todays menu

B: Beans on Toast (Hex B and 2 syns for butter)
L: Baked halloumi with salad (HEXA)
D: Bean chilli, rice, large salad

Lots of SS fruit and yogurt for snacks, and not sure what I'll use my syns on, maybe a couple of biccies after my walk!!

Have a great day everyone xxxx :T

shortie, The syns for 100g of pureed fruit are: orange and blueberry 2 but apple 1.5. Just curious but I noticed you synned gravy with your chilli and yesterday that someone had done the same with Bolognese. Is this the sauce for your meal or extra? Just asking as it's so easy to make these dishes syn free.

    Hi maman

Yep the gravy is addes to the sauce. I don't mind the ods syn for gravy in the bolognaise & chilli though xx

Re the puree - that's handy to see as Mr Shortie didn't realise and I spotted him guzzling orange juice and he didn't realise it was syn free. For the blueberries and/ot blackberries for my breakfast, I mix them in whole so they are still whole when eaten xx

So, I lost 0.5lb last week. Not surprised as I felt bloated but I stuck to plan so was feeling deflated all the same

Went well over on syns yesterday at a 40th birthday but am hoping the body magic of many hours of dancing helped to even it out even just a little.

Am having a 'lower carb' EE day today. I was going to do an SP day but I really want yoghurt with some fruit and merengue with everyone tonight after dinner

The definate theme for this week though is less carbs, more veg.

    Today's plan:

Brunch: bacon, beans, egg, sausage (2 syns, very lean)
Dinner: slow cooked pork with tonnes of veg. Gravy (1 or 2 syns). Am going to avoid the potatoes.
Dessert: small merengue nest (2.5 syns), strawbs, ff nat yoghurt. As it's not an SP day I might also add sone grapes

Evening snack: 2 HiFi bars (heb) and an apple

Oooohhhh, just found a tub of quark. I might try quark with sweetner instead of natural yoghurt. If it tastes okay it means I have kept to SP and can have 60g whlml pitta bread as well (grilled with frylight and salt)

    Yuuummmm....

(Sundays are the night I meet friends and we have a gamea evening so an array of sw snacks which feel naughty are much appreciated)

There is a jar of nutella in my cupboard that is now less full:o it was for pancake day and was given to us by family, even though they know I am trying to slim and am failing miserably.
