    Takes a bow...

Thank you for all the congratulations :D

I still have my original SW book with all the stickies on the back, I nearly threw it out in disgust at myself for not keeping the weight off but then decided to keep it as inspiration.

Happy birthday Jocko - enjoy your pulled pork and birthday cake.

    :bdaycake:

Interesting reading about whether EESP is suitable for diabetics as my sister and brother, who are both Type 2, have started eating a low carb diet. The only difference is that oils and butter are not restricted.

They've both lost weight and their blood sugar tests have improved too.

It's becoming apparent that we've been brainwashed into thinking that fat is the enemy when in fact it's carbs.

Thanks to all who wished me a happy birthday, sitting at work atm.

Wife has found a Delia Smith cake recipe that she thinks is 4 syns per quarter, she is probably right. It might taste ok being DS as well.

Awww don't work too hard let us know what the cakes like.

    Oooh happy new hair B E G.
That's one of the things I really miss about being skint~~no highlights.

Just got back beanie and I am absolutely froooooozen. Money is tight here too but a friend got me a hairdressing voucher for christmas so I just had to pay the difference for the highlights - just a bit more than I would have paid for cut and blow so that is not too bad. Booked my next appt for cut and that is on Good Friday  - scary how quickly this year is flying by. Also made appt for wedding we are going to 1st Aug (appt day before as wedding is around 10am apparently )

Well done to today's losers :T

You will have to share Delia's cake with us jock - 4 syns for a quarter ain't bad :D

WOW Liinda Mac are free, I love them but they taste so rich I would have thought they are a million Syns!

Anyway, good news, I got the mag, so next week I shall drag myself to the class and see if I want just the one off (if I get bored to tears) or decide to attend a few (if the group is nice and the consultant not too preachy).

    Thank you all!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

I've been doing some more experimental cooking!

I keep promising hubby I'll try making chilli. I've never made chilli. Should probably have looked at a recipe before I tried ;)

Still, it looks and tastes alright, just not quite like chilli :o

I think I should have avoided the smoked paprika when I was randomly shaking herbs and spices in there cos that's what I can taste more than the chilli powder :rotfl:

I've had chilli tonight.. Always add a bit of smoked paprika, but you can taste it alright.. I use passata, beef stock pot, garlic, chilli powder, smoked paprika and tom puree.. Was yum! :)

I cheat with chilli, Asda do KTC chilli beans 3 for £1, I use one of these with a tin of chopped tomato the just add salt and a bit more chilli powder as I like it hot.

Evening all, late posting as its been a busy day, baking and painting the kitchen

    Happy birthday Jock :bdaycake:

Yesterday was pretty much to my menu, I had 3 benefit bars for my syns (10.5). I got stuck in traffic on the way home from work and had stopped in at Ald! And they called to me from the passenger seat! So had pineapple and ff yoghurt for my supper

Today has been a green day

B pineapple (finally finished it), banana and ff plain Greek yoghurt
L BLT (just the meaty part from back bacon Syns??) 2 x wholemeal bread (HEBx2)
D 2x Linda M rosemary and onion sausages, mashed sweed and carrot, broccoli and onion gravy (2syns)

    Now for the confession .......

I've been baking 2 birthday cakes for a friend and some of the off cuts and ganache fell into my mouth  only a couple of mouthfuls, but its habits like eating cake leftovers that I need to break! Hubby doesn't work Fridays either so he has been fed the rest :rotfl:

Tonight we are going out dancing so banked syns from the rest of the week will be used for vodka and my HEA will be used for a milky coffee when we get home.

    Have a good evening :)
  • The recipe is this one

    http://www.clarkagency.co.uk/GreedyPiglet/slimming-world-delias-chocolate-cake/

However we put a small amount of sugar in it, a bit of icing and a few little haribo to make it 5 syns a quarter, a bit of actual sugar seems to take away the false sweet flavour of sweetener
