It's been great reading about all the losses since I posted yesterday. Some really good ones too!:T

Sounds like the boy is being very thoughtful mildredd. DH and I don't do cards and I hope he doesn't do flowers this year. Unfortunately he's not good at that, not quite garage forecourt but naff all the same.;) We'll just have our nice meal.

crabapple, you might find it easier to make frittata/Spanish omelette on the hob than breakfast muffins.

Hope there are some good choices in Sainsbury's mim. Everyone I know who goes there seems to eat fish and chips!

I am considering joining a group for the first few weeks and then use this forum for support, it will have to be after this weekend as I am going away until next Tuesday and have no control on what food I am served (staying with DH's family).

I think that's the best plan caterina. If you go along, even for one week, you'll get all the books and the introductory talk from the consultant. You can sit in on the talk again too if you want. Unfortunately SW are all but discontinuing the Green plan which is very suitable for vegetarians. EESP is suitable but it's not intended as a permanent weightloss/Healthy Eating plan. It's better done for a boost of one week maximum or odd days or meals. I'd suggest you do some EESP, EE when you're having fish and then we can help you tweak EE into Green (the bonus there is that you'll have extra Healthy Extras to offset the fact you're not having meat.) HTH a bit, do ask anything you want.

I love Room on the Broom tie. Hope it goes well.

I didn't go to WI today. I'm happy that my dress fits so that'll do me. I won't go next week as it's half term so that'll give me a couple of weeks to rein things in if needed. I know I'll miss out on ready meal vouchers but decided I'm not that fussed. I'm going to have a EESP day today to help keep things down prior to weekend's festivities.

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs
    L: apple and cottage cheese
D: liver, onions, swede & carrot mash, cabbage, peas,
    Syns: gravy

I've got pickles (beetroot and cornichons to snack on if I must).

Just a flying visit as off to pick up DH from work shortly.

As hoped I managed a loss and it was bigger than expected - a whole pound! Really only thought it would only be half.

Woo hoo!! First weigh in and I am 4.5lbs down! Still another 7 stone to go but I'm happy with that as had a boozy night out in the middle of it!! See what I can do for next week now with a weekend away! X

I am in for the long haul salduck so we can keep each other company. I may have shifted 6 stone in 10 months but I still have stones to lose. :o What a difference this 10 months has made thinking about it. I was actually planning what to wear this morning as opposed to last year - pulling on the pair of black trousers and a top. Some of the family have been out today to mark Dad's anniversary and we called back at W'spoons (supposedly for coffee) but I gave in and had cheese and ham toastie with chips and two cups of coffee. Will class the bread as my hexb and the cheese as my hexa - both well over what I should have been having and try to go syn free for the rest of the day. Please don't shout and me, it was a one off :D

Well done, I started in April 2 years ago and was six stone down after a year. Still kept it off and year two has seen me play about with losing another half stone and deciding where target was for me.

So I hope this motivates you, as sometimes its helps when you see how other people who have similar amounts they want to lose have done!! Keep going :T

I seem to be able to shift the weight lantanna, my problem is keeping the bl00dly thing off. When I did SW around 20 years ago, I was just about ready to call target when the consultant (a very good friend of mine) left and things at class changed and life happened and the stones piled back on again. I keep saying that I am finding it relatively easy (sort of) to stick to plan but I am dreading getting to the point where I have to maintain as I know for some that can be a much harder task.
Calling in to quickly post this weeks loss of ...3lb! I am very happy :j

Hello, long time lurker, I keep meaning to do something about my weight and keep failing, the day starts well and I end up eating too much in the evenings.

I am really interested in the EE SP plan but for vegetarians (or with minimal amounts of fish), is this feasible? Where can I find out more, without going to a class (I don't like groups and can't really afford the weekly cost). Thank you!

Edited to say, I could probably do with losing 2 stones and a bit, but for the time being losing 1 stone would be a miracle come true. Is it feasible in, say, 2 months? Thanks again.

Welcome aboard Caterina  Totally agree with maman - go to class for at least one week, get all the books and new starter talk and then that will hopefully give you an insight into how it all works. Many people here go it alone and pop in here for support and motivation. Ask as many questions as you like and there will usually be someone around that will be able to help you out. Good luck.
