Thanks for the explanation lush, I thought it was something to do with BF's fitness and a bit of Mr Fussy thrown in too.:rotfl:I'm with you on using treats wisely, some just aren't worth it IMO.

I can't find those actual paninis online but a standard 85g one seems to be about 12 syns so I'd say the 100g ones are A LOT!!

I'd send you a huge box of chocs if I could lantanna. Sorry you're suffering. I'm choosing between Waitrose or M&S meal deals.
  • Thanks maman 12 doesn't sound so bad for one slightly smaller (generally filled with free ham and cheese from HeA) so next time I'm shopping I'll look out for ones that size (Tesco online says they do them so will just have to look harder) :)

I've just realised how much I could do with getting done at home tonight...just the mundane stuff but I shall try to do it after wonder bairn goes to bed to keep myself occupied. Though I think there may be a show on tonight that I usually watch on catch up...I should probably check!

I don't have a Waitrose but I did check out the M&S one, things are usually dividable etc for us singletons!! Though I'm not sure this one screams good value to me. I do love the Cocquille St Jacques though and the steaks are always excellent. It would resolve my dessert problem but I can't justify having the additional wine and chocolates lol. So best for me not to go anywhere near it!! I haven't been overly fussed on any of the wines the when I have bought the meal deal over the last couple of years and tend to go for the fruit which I see there is none for the dessert.

You enjoy it if you do get it and please share with us what you a have!!!

Lush I worked it out at 14 going on the calories alone.
  • Thanks lantana :) definitely staying on my 'treat meal' list. Love a nice hot Panini with some syn free, homemade leek and tattie soup!

  • You have just reminded me meg of the time we were travelling to Scotland for a wedding DH was travelling with his sis and her husband and I was following later with DS when he got in from work. I was driving DS's car to give him a rest as he had come straight from work so it was agreed that I would drive the first half of the journey. I'll just point out that DS hates being a passenger in a car especially when that car belongs to him ;) So I decided to pop a bag of jelly babies in front of car and said if we were going to bite each others heads off - we would bite a jelly baby head instead. Never been known before but the pack of jelly babies made it all the way to Scotland unopened. Funny how little comments can remind of you silly little things in the past.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What is it about Jelly Babies? When the children were little , my husband used to line Jelly Babies up on the car dashboard, then everytime we went around a roundabout, and a JB fell over, it got it's head bitten off! Used to make the boys scream with laughter!!

Sorry I've been missing for a while. I 'forgot' to weigh in at the weekend. We're having some tough family stuff at the moment, so I'm not really concentrating on myself. We're away for a few days this weekend, so I'll try and post before we go, I'm not very hopeful for any wonderful loss, I'll be grateful to stay the same if at all possible.

    Best wishes to everyone. XX
