Re the gym debate - Happens to me all the time, if I am going mad in the gym nothing seems to shift for weeks or I gain and then I get a freaky loss at some stage. So my advice is just keep going with it. I'm going Saturday and sunday, it always perks up my mood when I exercise and I can't recommend it enough for that never mind anything else.

I found this, I think maybe because you sweat more, your body holds onto more fluid so you can sweat more, I used to sweat a lot though and since I've lost a lot of weight I now don't seem to (walking to work in this weather, I'd be in a jacket only and be sweating. Now I wear jumper, coat, gloves and hat and am still cold.

What I did find though was that every couple of weeks or so, I'd need to wee a lot, as if my body just decided I didn't need as much water, and I'd drop 2lbs overnight and not put them back on.

With doing less strenuous exercise (mostly just walking) I am getting much more gradual weight loss, never more than a pound a day, my scales aren't sensitive enough to give me anything less.

Does anyone else find they get cold after the excercise? I find that after my runs I will be hot and sweay, will have lovely shower, etc, and then then I will start feeling absolutely freezing,to the point of shivering - it is not unheard of me sitting with the thick socks, sweater under the blanket with hot water bottle and shivering....

    You love salad? :eek:_pale_ ;)

i wish i did.. it would make SW so much easier! if i have it with a meal i always eat it first to get it out the way... childish, i know..

I know, I'm a bit odd. Generally I do have to be in the mood for it but when it strikes me I wolf it down.

Like Maman I don't like waste (and can't afford it!) but always have cucumber and baby/cherry tomatoes and beetroot in and usually lettuce as I was getting some in to bf by adding lettuce to his wraps/sandwiches but he's having none of that now! I love peppers but only buy them reduced as there's only me and wonder bairn who'll eat them in our house. recently rediscovered pickled red cabbage so that has been featuring regularly too (though today is the last of my huge jar :( ) and we always have eggs in so I boil a few at a time.

If its for an evening meal I usually add a bit more; cheese, especially if bf is partaking, pickled onions if we have some in :) and recently I converted from tins of sweetcorn (almost always sees some go to waste) to frozen. though I haven't boiled any up for todays offering :)

In summer we can easily eat salad every night: chicken/chicken and bacon, beef, smoked ham on top though :)

I do think the key is colour and variety in a good salad. In summer I make big batches of pasta salad, rice salad, potato salad and cous cous plus coleslaw etc to beef it up and give everyday a bit of a BBQ vibe

Well i think i won't be going to class tomorrow.. just had 4 pakoras for my lunch and break time  just so disappointed with my food today that i've abandoned all hope and gone to the dark side :rotfl:

I am really struggling at the moment, even said to OH the other night that i'd have easily given up SW normally by now.. but i'm trying to ride out the storm and see if i can get in a better place instead. I know lots of us are going through this in one form or another at the minute so chin up and lets get through it (and take inspiration from all the goody two shoes on here x ;))

Lush - will add those weights in for you later.. good luck for tomorrow.. i think it's the lettuce in salad i don't like, actually no i don't like tomatoes or cucumber either :D:p

retired lady - is 0% total a greek yogurt? need to find one to try...

Good luck for weigh in salduck!

    love that meg :T

Shala - Total 0% is a greek style yoghurt - most SMs sell it. Personally I don't like the texture of it, I much prefer Mr Ts fat free greek style yoghurt (and it's about half the price!).

You will come out the other side Shala, I do this every so often. Some times I actually think you just need a break from it, stuff yourself full of whatever you want and then you feel fed up and ready to get back on it again.

How on earth or what on earth possessed you to have a Kinder Egg for breakfast though! :rotfl:

Love Pakoras, good choice of naughtiness!!

Oh, trying clothes on normally makes me wise up if that is any help! or thinking about what I will look like if I don't stop the eating and how rubbish I will feel and I am ashamed to say it but yes what people will say if I put all the weight back on xx
  • Hello folks, hope you don't mind me joining back in the thread, started SW AGAIN last week but new focus this time so hopefully will be more successful than the disaster that was last time! Lost 6lb in my first week (but I had the flu so I had a big helping hand). Today is the first day that I have been following the plan properly, still trying to get my head round some of the changes they have made. Gutted that baked beans are no longer a speed food!

Here's my menu for today, so far it's going well.......

B: Weetabix and banana (hexa and b)
L: Spicy tomato rice (all free and speed) with large salad, mixed fruit bowl
D: Quorn Shepherds Pie, baked beans and veg - probably 2 syns for the gravy

    Snacks fruit and yog

Not sure what to use my syns up on though, anyone got any suggestions? I quite fancy a fudge today but I remember this was a problem for me last time!! Any suggestions gratefully received

Have a lovely day everyone xxx
