Good for you, beanie, rummer, wizkid, angelbob and mookie.
Penny, as long as you enjoyed your food that’s great. You can just start again today (says the queen of no will power).
I like the idea of your frozen fruit sweets, Annie. I’m going to give that a go. Pity I ate the last yogurt this morning!
Today's plan:
Breakfast: ML strawberry fruitopolis (½ syn), banana
Lunch: baked potato with prawn mayo (1 syn), mixed salad, clementine
Dinner: at friends house, so no idea what it will be, hence I've tried to limit syns intake for breakfast and lunch.
Good luck today, everyone.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
At the risk of sounding like a SW consultant, are you happy with that result, were you expecting it? Feel free to share your menus or ask questions if you need any help.

Well done Wiz - looks like things are going well now.
Finally got to sit down with a cup of coffee and have a quick look on here! Having another EE day today:
B - bacon, egg, mushrooms
L - HM curried parsnip & apple soup; HEB bread
D - SC chicken, roast potatoes, roast carrots, onions & peppers, broccolli & green beans
HEA will be milk in tea during the day
No idea of syns yet but perhaps a couple of glasses of red this evening!

Just wanna check I was ok with my dinner had a big bowl of spaghetti with 1/3 plate full of broccoli pepper tomatoes and a sauce made of kidney beans barlotti beans tinned toms and some herbs.
I think that's right the only reason I ask is it was such a big plate I get a bit piggy eating it all!!

Hiya
The split between free and speed foods sounds good to me. Without the spaghetti it would have been EESP.
SW like to push the freedom to eat as much free food as you like to satisfy your appetite, but in my opinion weight loss won't be as good if you have large amounts of carbs even though they are free.
At the end of the day it's what works for you, so if you can eat lots of carbs and lose weight do it. If you find your weight loss isn't as good as you hoped, carbs are the thing to cut back on and fill up with speed foods instead.
Hope that helps,

Afternoon all
Wizkid - well done. Keep doing whatever you did this week!
Pennylane - your takeaway sounds lovely, and as someone else said, at least you enjoyed it. Having something synful and not enjoying would be much worse. SW know that life gets in the way sometimes so they give you permission to go off plan sometimes with flexible syns. Giving in to temptation is often the result of craving something you haven't had for a while so now it's done you can move on.
Annie - that's a great idea for using up tired fruit, but the thought of eating frozen fruit really sets my teeth on edge! I can't bear it out of the fridge, never mind the freezer.I always keep a few tomatoes in a bowl on the worktop and if I've got chopped up melon in the fridge I put it in the microwave on defrost to take the chill off. :rotfl:
Rummer - well done. Don't be disheartened that it's only 1/2lb, it's in the right direction. Keep going, it will work.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Well, well well, would you believe it.. 2lb LOSS :j:j:j
Sorry I can't change the colour Shala. Perseverance pays off:D:T
Thanks for doing the chart x:T:T
That's brilliant wiz, so pleased for you. All that plodding's paying off.
:T to all the other losers too both great and small.:)
rummer, you can't be going completely wrong or you wouldn't have lost anything. Sorry to hear you had bad news but all I can suggest is that if a sweet hit is your number one priority for syns then you save them all for that instead of using any/many in meals. If you're happy with sweetener then my personal favourite is berries with Greek yogurt and sweetener all stirred around to make it turn pink. Meringue is fairly low syn if you wanted to add that in too. Another option would be distraction like taking a bath or a walk or an early night to stop you munching.greentiger wrote: »Thanks maman and meg. Is stewed apple hexb on EE?
I follow your logic re crunching, maman. But I don’t “crunch” berries! Probably to do with digestion then?
Yes, you can have masses of cooked apple as a HEB: 250g if it's eating apples and 375g if it's cooking apples. You could also have a 225g baked apple with a tbsp. of mincemeat.
I think it has something to do with breaking down fibre as well as portions size but if it's just a few blackberries now and again still quite firm I'd ignore it as it's very unlikely to affect weightloss.Just wanna check I was ok with my dinner had a big bowl of spaghetti with 1/3 plate full of broccoli pepper tomatoes and a sauce made of kidney beans barlotti beans tinned toms and some herbs.

I completely agree with what lois said about the carbs. Provided you've eaten them with at least one third of Speed food then it's not so much the portion size as what you're eating. I'm really anti the SW advice to fill up on free food too. I'd say look at your meals across the day and make sure you have at least a third of everything you eat as Speed food. So as I have (as I do most days) breakfast with no Speed food then I up it with my lunch and dinner.
I need a good talking too as well. Last night I said no to DH's offer of chocolate and then ate two crackers with cheese instead of one. I really must try harder.
My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast
L: veggie omelette with cornichons (actually that was yesterday's lunch so swapped it over with JP)roast lamb, roast potatoes, parsnips, cauli, broccoli, carrots
Syns: gravy and weekend wine.:)0 -
Afternoon all..
Well done losers :T:T just picked up everyone's new results.. Chart's looking good - we've lost 17 stone between us so far :j
We've just finished watching a couple of episodes of "Eat Well for Less". I'm shocked at how much people spend on food  £355 a week for the one family! That's more than some people earn a week..
I find the show quite interesting when they do the nutritional advice bit, we used to use jarred pasta sauces many years ago before getting into the MSE/SW ways and they showed them on the show. I'm shocked at how bad they are for you in terms of sugars etc..
I'm now glad I found MSE and SW as it's taught me to cook better and healthier even if I do sometimes eat takeaway pizzasand I thought I could cook before!
Right onto my menu for the day - old EE
Brunch - bread Heb, pulled pork (2), salad, crisps (4.5)
Tea - cheesy bacon pasta bake (hea) salad
Snacks - Satsumas, alpen light (3) banana split type thing (using banana, quark, peanut hottie, choc shot) (3)
