I was in Morrisons last night and they had Frylight on offer for £1.50 instead of £2.70 (I think). I got 2 for me and 1 for my SW friend.
Has anyone made the SW 'breakfast' quiche? I made it from memory and it turned out a bit wet. I wonder if it was the tomatoes?
I put in bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, cottage cheese and a bit of FF Fromage Frais. Tasty, but wet, not good for slicing. I think I saw it on the website but could not be bothered to negotiate to it again (i don't find the website user friendly) so I may have not rememberd the recipe corectly.0 -
Morning all. WI tonight. Not hoping for much, as I don't feel as though I have lost anything this week. But heyho, it's a marathon not a sprint.
I was very surprised to find out that sushi is free on EE days, so I made some on Sunday. It was really easy and d@mn tasty though I say so myself. Not quite so good today - better fresh.
I also came across a mexican bean salad which is free and is good for SP days - tin of kidney beans and tin of some white beans, rinsed and drained (I used cannelini); big bunch of coriander chopped; red onion sliced; couple of chillis and some cumin (not a lot). All this mixed up with a new dressing I found - Righteous Caper and Peppercorn
If my calculations are correct this dressing is free and it's delish.
Good luck everyone.

Edit - re Frylight - we bought the butter flavour one and it is awful. Really fake and chemical tasting. If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
Only read the last few posts so need to catch up but lantana you do make me smile:) you always come across so positive and motivated (even if you don't feel it!!) and I like your writing style, we must have the same sense of humour:D
Awh thank you that me smile!! Especially as I was annoyed big time by somebody yesterday who doesn't see the good in me. You either get me or you don't I'm one of those sorts of people:rotfl:Like Marmite I guess.0 -

Not a big fan of breakfast guiche, mine always firms up ok but I don't put tomatoes in it. Mine is usually 2 firm. The problem with me is if I make something I generally just want it once and that's it and then I'm left with the leftovers. I usually throw broccoli & onion in mine too for good measure.0 -
lantanna~~wow wow wow to a week without chocolate :j :j
The British Heart Foundation are doing something for March & no chocolate for a month

ASDA have the Hartleys jelly pots on offer for 25p each, they're half a syn each. I know they're a bit pricey for a bit of jelly but they're quite nice and I've decided to try and remove my obsession with Mullerlights. So these make a lighter option for after lunch at work.
Whilst I'm not doing SP, I'm trying to bring a few principles into it, one being less of the free stuff you can eat such as mullerlights.
Think I might do a SP week from the weigh in after next, I'm on my own all week so will be easy for me as I don't need to think if the kids are being fed ok.0 -

A wedding fairly spurs you on BEG, I had my sisters wedding last year to aim for and it was great to be a size 12 Bridesmaid and not the 22 / 24 that I would have been had I not started SW. Most people think that's why I started SW it wasn't at all but it was a nice bonus to be a slim Bridesmaid. I cannot believe you are nearly at your 6 stone already!Where has the time gone???
Valentines Day will probably annoy me this year, just coz its on a Saturday and I’m annoyed with someone right now, if its during the week I can usually ignore it.I think me myself and I will plan on having some nice chocolate!!:happyhear and some non love related films :rotfl:
I have to keep reminding myself that I have only being doing this SW stuff for 9/10 months and how far I have come. Try to think back of how I felt this time last year eg what we were doing/going and what I was wearing and things like that. There are a few 18s creeping into wardrobe atm but if I think that maybe Jul/Aug I could get a 16 from virtually any shop and for it to fit comfortably I will not complain - last year it was 24+ and not always a good lookHopefully there might be summer sales around and I might be able to pick something up - providing it covers arms/legs and frontage
Re Valentines Day - I tried to book my hairdressing appt for this Sat and it was fully booked so tried to next sat (14th) and was told by the young girl they were fully booked and I said 'What - that far ahead' and she replied 'Well it is Valentines Day'. So I said 'What's Valentines Day all about' and the look on her face was a picture. Don't think I have ever had my hair done just cos its Valentines DayLucy_Lastic wrote: »I was in Morrisons last night and they had Frylight on offer for £1.50 instead of £2.70 (I think). I don't know what the SW recipe is Lucy but I find that sometimes a lot of liquid can come out of mushrooms. Did you use the whole tomatoes or just the fleshy bit? I must admit I am not a lover of wet food and hate my plate swimming in gravy (which I suppose is a good thing synwise).
Thinking of going EESP today for a change - fancy the extra hex. If we have quark I might have overnight oats for supper.
Huge salad with ham and boiled eggs for lunch but must remember to miss out the sweetcorn.
