I'm putting it on record.. I hate eggy bread! :rotfl:

I was however in bread heaven to discover that 55g of the Rankin Irish soda bread is a heb choice :j it's this one, love it http://instagram.com/p/ymn9NFGjS4/

Good luck for Thurs WI's and welcome SDO

We've got the message mich. :rotfl:

Hubby made some Irish Wheaten Bread at the weekend to go with the both we had - and just for the record I only had a little nibble of it for testing purposes you understand :p. Mum comes from Ireland and she says it was just about as good as the stuff from home. :D

Evening all, welcome newbies, im the biggest nut in this nut house [or at least a major contender :rotfl:].
Still feeling rough and megga sore throat and voice going [gonna be quiet then I hear you say ].

Had a couple of really pleasant days with his nibs, lots of cuddles from him. I dunno but I find these days more stressful than the rages as I feel im being led into a false sense of security and ww3 will erupt any second :rotfl:. Fingers crossed for rest of week.

Hope you are on the mend soon TIE. Make the most of all those cuddles. :D

    Hi everyone
So I joined tonight and the leader and group were lovely! Thought I would run my menu by you for the Tomorrow and could someone check I'm on the right track??
Thursday b-weetabix x2 (Hex b) made with water, blueberries and banana
L- left over chickpea, Turkey, tomatoes, peppers, tomatoes pur!e, rice all mixed up.
D-roast butternut squash, ainsley cous cous, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower
Hex a- 4 x laughing cow light triangles.
Snacks- Apple, aldi Mars 6syns, space raiders 6 suns
    How does that sound??
    Sal x

That's a good EE menu sal. All I'd say is that when you're shopping I'd advise you to buy the fruit that's on the Speed list (so not blueberries and bananas) unless you want to use them just as free food. You have plenty of other Speed food today though to count as a third.

    :hello:SDO.

The Great White isn't counted as HEB because it weighs more than 60g! If you cut the top crust off it comes down to 60g for 2 slices; if you cut all 4 crusts off you can have 3 slices:rotfl: although that's not much good for sandwiches 'cos the filling seems to fall out too easily with no crusts to make a "proper sandwich".

That's good to know about the Great White denise. When 3 slices of WW Danish counted as a HEB I used to toast it lightly to give it more substance so that might work. I sometimes fancy a sandwich.

I'm definitely going to try the soda bread mich. It looks yummy and I can see it's on offer at £1 in Sainsbury's. It's on the list!!

At first I thought the cuddles were from MrTIE, but now I'm thinking they were from the child at school that has been known to kick poor tie.:)

    Evening all
Have read back but can't remember sorry welcome new people , well done losers, kick up bums for those that require it

Maman - it went strangely well and very much not how anyone could have planned it at all. However from having just one mini of nearly 3 to having 2 boys in the fray shows a definite difference between the genders
All kids liked each other / mini was sat cuddled with boys eldest watching tv and randomly kept patting him like you would a dog or pet
Boy n I had our first falling out though so I've been a bit meh last few days coupled with court stuff my heads a bit battered.
Went out for dinner tonight - my stomach has shrank :/ couldn't eat my main

Pleased the meeting went well for you Mildredd. Hope you and boy make up soon. Stomach shrinking must be a good thing surely. Could it be that you were just chewed to bits with stuff that is going on. Look after yourself.

Hello, SDO and salduck, pleased to meet you. I’ve got a long road to travel too – but I’m getting there, slowly.

    Good work, Lauri.

Shala – my SW soul mate!

I’ve been known to cut bread down to size too, Denise & b_e_g. mich, I love that soda bread – I’ll have to buy some, safe in the knowledge that it can be hexb! Woo hoo!

Happy to hear the kids got on well, Mildredd. I hope, between you, you’ve mended your falling out.

    Thursday's framework

Breakfast: hexb Quaker Oat Crisp cereal, some hexa milk, strawberries
Lunch: hm leek & potato soup, Lidl Linessa ff fruit yogurt (2 syns)
Dinner: Teriyaki salmon with salad & noodles (2 syns)
    Snacks: to be decided

Now I just need to make sure I'm busy all the time so I don't give the munchies an opportunity to visit!

    See you all tomorrow.

Sounds as though you are talking from experience there Denise :rotfl: I had two slices and chopped a bit off the top - I think it was 2g under the 60g so I classed that as near enough. :D

Was told this my my consultant! I always use Great White - it's the only way I can get my DH to eat high fibre bread: he hates wholemeal, says it doesn't taste right, LOL! Find it better to do this than have to buy 2 lots of bread.

Good idea from Maman about toasting it first to make it a bit more substantial.

I've got WI later this morning, along with tasters - do hope that most people stick to the Free theme though, not sure they will with consultant saying up to 5 syns - kinda defeats the object I think. After all there are loads of things you can make Free.

I was going to make a butternut squash & lentil curry with rice (in my Mr D thermal pot) but wasn't able to chop the squash yesterday as not allowed to do cooking or housework for couple of days.

Decided on SW falafel in the end as could manage to hold the onion & carrot to chop roughly to chuck in the food processor, fortunately the chickpeas were in a ringpull can so easy enough to steady with one one and open and rinse in colander!

Turned out OK - had to have a taste whilst they were warm, didn't I:rotfl: DH also had to try them as well - still plenty left to take with me to group.

Hoping for at least a STS as have been fairly good all week after the very synful weekend!

    EE again today:

    B - tasters after WI!
L - couscous with salady bits chopped through, fat free salad dressing & balsamic dressing
D - 2 butchers sausages (0.5 syn each), chips, HM baked beans (0.5); mushrooms

    HEA - milk in tea
HEB - not sure yet, maybe Ryvita this evening

Syns 1.5 as above; not sure what else yet

Back later once I've been to WI and done the shopping.
