Ok so today is the first day of a new month and I am going to kick myself in to gear and work my !!! off. Last week I did so well up until the evenings where I joined bf with his snacking habit and I had too many cheat meals which have caught up with me. Now its time to look after me 100% even if that means cooking two different meals.
breakfasts will only be free omelettes or HeB cereal (wheat biscuits or ready brek) with HeA milk
drinks will only be tea (milk from HeA), no added sugar squash or the odd glass of pepsi max
snacks will be fruit, veggies or seafood sticks, hard boiled eggs or low syn hot chocolate (options or choc shot with water/milk from HeA)
Lunches will be homemade soups, jacket potatoes and piles of free fillings, pasta salads
Evening meals will be decided as we go along most things we have are low syn anyway its the tempting snacks afterwards that are the danger zone! The most high syn meal we have at the minute are probably cheese and ham chicken kievs and chicken tonight sauces but we don't have those very regularly; still need to check the syns in them though. I'll do some google searching later. I do need to start paying that bit extra for lower syn sausages though as i really fancy sausage casserole one day this week! I've bought some mini milks to have if I fancy an ice cream with bf and I'm going to make some jelly pots up today for me and wonder bairn.
Yesterday I did a mile walk in to the town and back to get the dog to the groomers which I've been using the car for recently - definitely going to get back in to walking for journeys like that. It'll mean I buy less too so much more wallet friendly!************************************

Yesterday was a bit of a struggle. I had to go for a mammogram and ended up with a visit to fish shop. I had fish and mushy peas with a couple of stolen chips but left most of the batter. The rest of the day was on plan though because we were full we had a picnic tea with sandwich (heb) cherry toms, carrot sticks.
Today's menu EE
He a skimmed milk
He b 60g wholemeal roll
Brunch bacon egg, mushrooms and tomato
Dinner chicken, stuffing (3) carrots, potatoes, gravy (2) and sweetcorn.
Snacks Apple, satsuma
I'd better get a loss this week!
My consultant text yesterday to say she knew how it felt when you didn't feel your efforts are being rewarded and that I can see her at class for a 1:1. I thought that was nice.0 -
My loss for this week is 1lb, better than nothing. Sorry I can't put it in bold and red. X
That's great wiz, all in the right direction!:TI know this will vary for different people however, roughly how much weight did you lose before dropping a dress size? I'm currently a 14 and my initial aim is to get to a 12 but I'm trying to realistically think how long it will take.
I think it varies hugely rummer, especially as some people are in the wrong size to start with. Although I was wearing 16s when I started I know I was really bigger than that but the clothes had stretched or I had bought styles that were forgiving. It can take ages to get into a smaller size and then it depends where you buy it from. I'd use a pair of your 14 jeans as a guide. You'll know when they start to feel loose.;)
Have you told your family that you're trying to 'eat healthy'. :T on refusing the lunchtime snack but didn't they think to offer you something else?
lush, those Chicken Tonight sauces are high in syns per jar so I suppose it depends how many portions you get out of one. They range from 12.5 for Chicken Chasseur to 25 for honey and mustard. Just ask if you want to know a specific flavour.
Enjoyed my Thai meal last night but not thinking of the syns. Line drawn now, move on. I should have a clear run this week as no more plans for eating out. I'm organised today as going to football, then drinks with friends so have cooked braised steak ready for tonight.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs
L: JP with cottage cheese and beetroot?Hairy Bikers braised steak and onions with potatoes and veg.
Syns: squirt of HP, weekend wine.
The HB gravy is incredibly low syn (half tsp of cornflour shared?) so I'm ignoring that. Will decide whether to have roast veg or chips or whatever depending how much time to cook.0 -
Blaming being poorly, tummy issues and can't be arsed eating for my gain of +2lb this week that and eating more carbs than the week before.
Totally peed off with feeling rough, staff in my class all seemed to be poorly again come the end of school so probably all feeling like me too.
Hubby is worse than me so I had to walk the dog and got caught in a hail storm so thoroughly soaked by time I got home, welly sprung a leak too which I'm peeved about as they aren't that old. Probably got hypothermia as well now
Off to feel sorry for myself but staying out of the kitchenIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

The French sauce is 21.5 and although I can't find Chicken Supreme on the site, similar ones (creamy stroganoff etc.) are 21/21.5 too. So I'd say about 5.5 a portion to be safe.
Oh poor you tie. Get yourself warm and dry and pamper yourself.:)0 -
Hi everyone - couldn't get to WI this week cos off work with a slipped disc. Can hardly move so no Body Magic this week. Trying my best to stick to plan though so will report in after my WI this week - should be able to get there as I'm improving slowly day by day. Hi clowe  welcome..
Mildredd - hope the kids get along! Stay away from the chocolate..
Maisie - hope your get your 1.5lb.. funny how much we want stickers isn't it, like we're 5 again! :rotfl:
Rummer - like Lois said I think it's over a stone, but depends on where you lose it from I guess. My top half hasn't changed, i'm still size 18 because of the norks but I have dropped around my waist.. still a 16 though (did fit into 1 pair of large 14's yesterday)
Wiz - you should be celebrating those 1lbs.. they all add up - if you lose 1lb a week then it adds up to over 3 stone a year!
TIE - have a massive group hug and a cuppa to warm you up!! :grouphug::coffee:
Mookie - sorry to hear you're poorly, all the best for this week xx
So red day for me today - I also have to do a load of batch cooking tonight as I have my long shifts at work this week

L - sausage sandwich (2 & heb) crisps(4.5)
T - Hairy bikers chicken and ham tangle pie (3, hea), jacket potato wedges(heb) salad, roasted BNS
S - Satsuma, apple, vanilla quark
Sainsburys sent me the vanilla quark instead of normal so looking forward to trying that!
Both going for Hairy Biker recipes today mamanMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Thank you all for the encouragement and support
I am so determined to lose the weight this time and I refuse to give in!
This weekend has been a big test and so far I have done really well. I resisted a bacon roll this morning and instead had my wholemeal toast with bacon. Then we went to visit family who had made a snack of roast potatoes and sausages with white buttered rolls followed by cake and biscuits and I resisted it all :j I have also switched my usual weekend food and drink for healthier alternatives so I am hoping for a loss this week too.
Just planning my weekly food shop and getting excited about all the different things I can try
Hey Rummer - well done, found this really inspiring as I often allow myself to be derailed by others. Hope you feel great about making those choices.
Just wanted to comment on those high syn cook-in sauces; I had some to use up when I started SW and found if I lifted my chicken out of the casserole and just spooned a weeny amount of the sauce over it, it was ok. Counted a couple of syns and think I got away with it!
Shala, how was that vanilla quark?0 -
STS this week pls Shala; was really good up until Fri when I went out for a few drinks and had a turkey burger when I got in and then a Chinese last night! Start a new job this week which starts with training down in Sheffield (I'm in Tyne and Wear) on Wed/Thur/Fri so will have to see what the hotel has an offer ;-)Debt free 2018
