Interested to know how everyone is meal planning? Not sure the calender I bought is going to be as user friendly as I would like.
I type out a list and stick it on the fridge with a magnet.

Just remembered that our consultant told us that there is going to be another free joining coupon in Woman magazine (I think that was the one anyway).
Not done well today. Four days to rein it in before WI. I think I'll try and cut the carbs a little but not sure I can hack eesp!
Good luck to everyone in the challenge - 20 stone would be magnificent! Even a portion of that will help everyone's jeans to fit :rotfl::heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Happy New Year all
Muso I saw your news and forgot to congratulate you! Hope you enjoy the journey:)
Start of the new weightloss journey today so I have my official start weight as of this morning 12st 4lbs this means I have 1st 8lbs to lose to be back at my original target weight of 10st 10lbs
For the first challenge I'd like a target of 11lbs which is half what I need to lose! Hopefully I'll manage more than that but I don't want to stress myself out with the pressure of aiming for more - this way I can lose a steady 1lb a week and have a couple of good weeks thrown in ... least that;s the plan
I'll post meal plans from tomorrow and there's still some treats bout the house so a few of those will creep in no doubt! Plan to make a weekly batch of (free) soup for work as I find soup stops me snacking after lunch, currently have lots of veg in but not a variety of fruit (just some tangerines and some aging passionfruits (not sure how to tell when a passionfruit is 'off'...anyone?) breakfasts will be cereal/HeB and then evening meals will have to be where I make use of my syns - with the occasional after dinner treat
New slow cooker is amazing so I'll be doing a lot in there, also a lot of baby friendly stuff so I'm not cooking multiple meals each night.
I really want to get the grocery budget down (currently at £130 including treats for bf, his food for camps - he has to take snacks/drinks and wonder bairn's formula which hopefully won't be for too much longer!)so need to work on portion sizes, meal planning effectively and buying things we like at a decent price (been trying stuff for teh sake of it and really haven't liked some things!)
Have been using Tesco for clubcard points and fuel save but we rarely use teh fuel save for bfs car and it makes no sense using it on my fuel really as it's come down a lot already and I can get almost 200+ miles from £20 anyway and its further to drive to and from Tesco so moving to a mix of Aldi and Asda
Anyway...time for bed. Time to get cracking tomorrow and hopefully do some more zumba too************************************

Well I'm off to bed in shame, I found an open box of Ferrero rocher that I didn't know I had... I haven't got them anymore
:o
Ruined my first day *sigh* start AGAIN tomorrow...
Posting my menu now as i might not get on here tomorrow
B - Apple, Alpen light (3)
L - ham sandwich(heb's), lots of salad and pickles, crisps (4.5)
T - bns and beef stew  (1 syn for cornflour)
S - milk in tea (hea)
So let's hope I haven't got any temptations coming my way tomorrow otherwise I'm done for again:D
Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Today I've eaten:
Breakfast: Raisin wheats and skimmed milk (have this every day measured, HEA & HEB)
Lunch: Superspeed soup (beans lentils and veg), egg on small piece brown toast, flora light (0.5 syns), tabasco sauce
Tea: Rice, quorn swedish meatballs, petit pois and gravy (1 syn), vanilla muller light
Snacks: 2 Apples, banana
I'm veggie so do some green days, will count the brown toast as a second HEB. Had a very low syn day to compensate for the Wispa bar, Christmas pudding, brandy butter and custard that I ate last night.0 -
flutterbyuk25 wrote: »Thanks for the list. Is it all Quorn basics e.g. sausages and mince? They are the only bits I eat.
Its only the chunks and mince. Sausages are still free on EE days, but on SP you have to syn them
I think this change is going to make the plan even harder for veges, which is why i think they have a vegetarian feature as part of the launch campaign (although no tips on what to eat instead, now carbs have been reduced)
SW could really do with a more focused plan for veges or at least, more recipe inspiration that isnt just quorn substituted for meat0
