As I don't have the new book, I'm not sure which foods are P foods apart from meat etc. can anyone point out the basics please? Things I might already be eating like beans, peas etc, anything else? Or where I might find out for myself? :D

I've looked at the plate on the 2nd post but the pics are too blurry to make out what some things are.

    P's are :
Fish (except caviar and crab sticks)
    Seafood (except oysters and cockles)
    Meat (lean)
    Poultry
    Game & Offal
    Quorn/Tofu
    Low fat Cottage cheese
    Quark
    Eggs
    Beans and pulses (inc peas)

    Hope that helps xx

    Hi all

Happy New Year to everyone and best wishes for 2015.

Had a good day yesterday and had a marathon cook off - arrabiatta sauce, chicken and lentil casserole and cowboy hotpot. So have lots of portions for the freezer. Am planning to do some more tomorrow and Saturday to get tocked up. went to my parents last night to celebrate New Year as we do every year. Grabbed a chinese takeaway on the way and it was delish but OH and I found we could only manage about half of what we would normally have.

We were getting ready to go to OH's brothers for new years day dinner and noticed that DS2 has managed to acquire chicken pox so that's a great start to 2015, although in saying that apart from the spots he does not appear to be up or down with it. fingers crossed he stays like that.

shala can you put me down for 14 lbs please.

Thanks for the list. Is it all Quorn basics e.g. sausages and mince? They are the only bits I eat.

  • Oh my goodness you have been a chatty lot since I was last here. Welcome to all our newbies and returnees :hello:

Shala you are going to have a full time job keeping track of all our losses for this challenge. Speaking of which can you put me down for 14lbs please. This will get me nicely into the 14s and nearer to being overweight rather than obese :p Don't really pay too much attention to these charts (only chart I like is Shala's ;)) but it will feel good to get into the next bracket.

Good luck to Jock & Co on the new EE SP - looking forward to seeing how it works for you. Think I might give it a go for a couple of days a week for a bit of a boost but I love my potatoes and pasta. With the current EE, I cannot really say that I feel deprived of things and that is what I like about this plan. I really want to sit down with all the info and plan a couple of days properly rather than just jumping in and grabbing the first things that I think will work.

DH has prepared our evening meal - beef joint (been in SC since 9.45 this morning, brussel sprouts, carrots, brocolli, parsnips, peas and potatoes. Oh Auntie Bessie is also joining us and bringing along her yorkshires. ;) Dessert is lemon roulade with WW cream (bit of a comprise - could have had extra thick double but I am trying to be a little bit good :p). Might have a few choccies whilst watching tv and then a line is going to be drawn.

:hello: to all our regulars who have gone mia. We miss you all. Hopefully you are all just too busy to post at this time of the year. Hopefully we will see you soon. xx

    Take care everyone

Yes Shala I am on an iPad , but I know Maman will change it to red for me. She never misses. An early thanks Maman .:D

Fonts etc must not work on an iPad. X :(:D
I use my ipad to post WI and can change font size and colour. Do you have section above BOLD, ITALICS, UNDERSCORE etc that has fonts, sizes, colour all with drop downs to change with? Also has a smilie face dropdown as well as it being to the right side of this box.

Thank you Shala for the P rundown :A

Can you put me down for 5lb please? Not sure what my total gain will be as eating habits are all over the place and probably wont get back on track until Monday when back to work.
Id like to try the new SP but love my yog, pineapple and blueberries for lunch apart from that I could cut the carbs for a few days but not any longer as energy levels drop rapidly without them :p

Talking of eating habits, the last few day have been odd. I feel fine until I eat then get the shakes and feel like my heart is racing. Lasts even after Ive finished eating then I feel exhausted and have to sleep. Wonder if its the result of too much junk :o
Was on track today until I felt like that and stuffed several chocolates to 'make me feel better' :p:eek:
