Evening everyone! I lost 3.5lb this week, which I am over the moon with! I need 1.5lb next week to get my 1.5 stone award and fall into the next stone category on the scales, so fingers crossed for that! I'm saying a my parents' in Leeds this weekend, which might make things tricky, but I'll do the best I can.0

HI everyone, my name is Lisa. I joined SW in july and on 22 Dec I clocked in with a loss of 5st 7lbs. Since then I celebrated Christmas and New year in style closely followed by an all inclusive holiday in the Dominican. So 5 weeks off plan has seen me gain a massive 16lbs. I went back to class on Monday and im determined to be in a bikini by my next holiday.
I would like to join in your challenge if I may. I would like to lose that 16lbs by 1 march. Thank you x0 -
Hi All, I've finally read all the thread! Its taken ages! I lost some weight (a stone and a half) on slimming world in 2012/2013 and put it all back on when i gave up smoking. In June last year I had a lovely baby girl and am now at my heaviest. (I have lost all my pregnancy weight, in fact i lost 2 stone in the 5 days after having her! Was a bad pregnancy with gestational diabetes, choliaststis sp? and other problems and she was born by c section a month early at the great weight of 9lb 13oz!!! I was treated for my diabetes throughout pregnancy and am pleased to say it has gone and im back to normal).
So last week i said enough is enough and i'm getting back on it, so here i am! I prob wont post too much but i will be reading along. I think ive got the gist of EESP but will be sticking to EE as thats what i know. I will also be ignoring the new fruit classifications on pineapples, blueberries etc as i lost last time eating them and i will this time too just not as quickly. Im still breastfeeding but have started weening so will have 1 extra HEA a day.
I will prob join the next challenge as i am going it alone as i never found the class that helpful and as im on maternity money is tighter than usual.
Well done to all the losers, and good luck for the coming week.
I started last Wednesday and after my first week i have lost a massive 5.5lbs! (Think its a combo of healthy eating, the baby feeding all the time! and Christmas weight) So I'm off to a great start! I don't really have any friends in RL to talk to about this as they all look to be a size 12 at the most! (I'm a size 20) MY DH is very supportive though and will half be doing SW with me.

Hi Lisa, welcome to the thread.
The current challenge lasts until 1st March so maybe you could set an interim target to be achieved by then.
You were very successful last year, you must have been in need of a holiday from SW!
What do you think of the changes SW have introduced this year?

Hi Mrs Muffin, welcome to you too and congratulations for the baby. My first was the same weight and I didn't have a c section!
I first did SW in 2001 and in those days free food included lots of foods that are syned now such as corned beef and canned macaroni cheese and we used to make cakes using couscous as a substitute for flour (not allowed now, it was considered to be food abuse!). Despite that, people lost weight and sometimes I wish I'd kept my original books and just stuck to them, they worked first time!
Feel free to join in the chat, ask questions and post menus if you want to.

Lantana!!!
Get doing the fitness dvd!!
Lantana convinced me to buy a fitness dvd and so far we've yet to do itI watched it but don't think that quite counts as I just sat n watched it
This week I have been beyond stressed but trying now it's too easy to pick on bits that are still lingering from Xmas
Sorry you are stressed. I had to laugh at the watching the dvd not counting, I have two still with the wrapping on bought for me 2 xmas`s ago. I have picked them up and dusted them once a week
though so maybe that counts a bit :rotfl:Slimming World at target0 -
Was it on here that I read about the Debenhams personal shopper thingie? Has anyone been on one, did it help you with self image, help you realise how to understand what suits your body shape and did you have to buy things? Or was it mentioned in my sw group I wonder?
I'm having an odd few days, was way off track with the diet yesterday, had a very sweet offer of a seat on the tube yesterday when I'm not pregnant (oh dear) and was going through a 'diversity and inclusion' module at work today and was reflecting on a b*tchy, alienating boss I used to have who once said I looked nice in a lift lobby and promptly said as he got in a lift with someone else on the team "for a middle aged mother of two" as a snide dig (I was only 27 at the time!)
I grew up not being allowes to wear make up and finding it easier to make friends with boys so I grew up quite a tom boy.
But I find myself as an adult struggling with my self image. Wanting to look femine but feeling like a chunky tom boy in office shift dresses during the week and living in jeans and t'shirts at the weekend. High heels kane my feet so it's wobbling on kitten heels at the most lol
So I guess my question is, those of you who have managed to overcome self image issues, how did you manage it and did a stranger in a shop doing a free personal shopper session help?
Rereading the above, I'm guessing my hormones are all over the shop at the moment :rotfl:April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500
