Thank you so much Meg, I feel happy now :D

Just been in the kitchen to cook a bolognese to go with some pasta for tonights tea. Recipe goes something like this:-

Chop various veg (what I found in the fridge) and put in pan
Add a bit of frylight and water and begin to cook
Add ground pepper, garlic, paprika & herbs to taste
Realise I shook in a load of turmeric not paprika
Add curry and chili powder to taste
Make curried veg to go with rice instead :rotfl:

    They are free food :)

It also looks like the hifis are intended to be an HEB so that's 0 syns  Or are the lighter bars not still 2 for an HEB?

I'd agree with needing to use your syns - they say 5 minimum but I find I need to go to the higher end (or maybe I have to snack and the syns cover it!)

You're right - I hadn't noticed there wasn't an HEB there, so definitely not using enough syns.

I do get a chuckle at the SW website at times, pizza omelette will have you shouting Bellisimo on the scales! :rotfl:

And now a recipe for Butterbean Butterboom has appeared ! I can just imagine the booming if I ate that!! :rotfl:

It's just like those days when you're 'hankering after a banana'!
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I haven't logged on since yesterday and there's three pages of catching up to do!!
:Tto all those in the 0.5 lb club!!

gien, good to see you posting. Not sure if you were trying to be SP but lots of couscous is free or low syn so don't deprive yourself. And you're right, smoked mackerel is 4 syns for 100g but trout is free???

djenks, I think SP is a gesture to recognising the overeating/high calorie trap that stops some losing quickly on SW. Like lantanna said the 'fill your boots' attitude to free food was far too prevalent and never did make sense to me. I must admit when I went to group last week there was little or no mention of SP unless someone mentioned they'd tried it at home.

hwoolgar, I'm a bit lax (in other words it doesn't happen) with measuring Shreddies too but as I only have them once a week I live with it. I think the best weight by volume is Puffed Wheat (which they sell in Home Bargains BTW). It's a bit tasteless, like plain popocorn, but I enjoy it and you can always put some fruit on top for more flavour.

virgo, have you tod your mum you're doing SW? I'm sure she means well but it might help if she knew. When I started I gave my DH a list of all the things I could have for breakfast so he couldn't sabotage me accidentally.

matronmidge, I can only suggest you post your menus on here as often as you can and preferably in advance. You'll get far better and quicker feedback than any group. denise has given you some ideas already. I don't think going back to your first week is great advice as most people lose anyway with just water and a change of foods. You're not on medication are you, as that can present problems for some?

I'm trying a EESP day today. I'm out for a meal tomorrow so I'm trying to balance things a bit.

B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: lentil & veg soup
D: liver, peas, onions, swede/carrot mash, various greens (bits of cauli, cabbage and broccoli to use up)
    Syns: squirt of syrup, gravy

Website regularly does my head in - far too many clicks to get through to the things you need like syns online. Plus it can be rubbish - the new one the other day had too many entries so I had to narrow my search. I put in quorn to start with... then mozzarella, and then suddenly I get the thing I wanted (quorn mozzarella & pesto bake things) plus a load of mozzarella types that were nothing to do with quorn at all?!

I agree the website's rubbish. You'd think with all the money they rake in they'd employ a good web designer!!

I've saved the website to favourites at the page where syns on line is so it goes straight there when I log on.

I have just looked up the syn value of Vimto no sugar added jelly - it's 7 syns per pot!! How the heck did that happen?
Vimto sugar free squash and fizzy drink is free.
    Anyone know why this is?

Having found it (did I mention the website's rubbish??) it seems that it does have masses of sugar in it just none extra added. It's all 'natural'. There are 113 cal and 25.5g of sugar per 100g compared with 3 cals and just a trace of sugar in Hartley's.
It seems that there are no artificial sweeteners in Vimto jelly (unlike the drinks), it's sweetened with fruit juice which we know is very synful.

All courtesy of my friend Google.

I like to know these things. I hate the mystique and blind faith of SW almost as much as I loathe the website!:rotfl:

Rapidly running out of wall space greentiger. Will have to move to a bigger house - oh no no no - bigger house more housework - def no. :rotfl:

Well done on today's losses and hugs to anyone who is struggling and getting fed up with it all.

Welcome to the madhouse faye - stick around and you will get loads of support.

Did I hear you mention the ww swear words Lantanna  How about we forget about the recent SW changes, stick with what we have been doing so far (we proved it works) and see how we feel. We can do this. ;) Regarding the comments on Biggest Losers regaining (hangs head in shame :o) - this is the third time I have shifted big amounts only to have regained plus some but this time I feel that the EE way we know and have come to love over the past months could be something that is doable long term. Hope you get to feel the love soon. Take care. xx

It's snowing like billyo here

Well I don't really follow recipes, so I cooked it until done :D but on instagram they're saying 20 mins at 200'C - seems a bit high to me so i'd keep an eye on it...
