Just a thought, but do you think maybe smaller goals would be easier to achieve? I have recently started SW for the 2nd time and this time I have set an interim target at the scales of half a stone lighter than the weight I started with.
As you reach each interim target you can change it for a lower one. you have the advantage then of
    a) getting a week or two free while you are on target or up to 3 lbs below and
    b) a better sense of achievement as you reach each target.
You could go a stone at a time for instance.
    Just a thought!
  • Crabapple,
Thank you for the list of SW meals. We have a new Iceland opening soon where I live, so I will have to test a few sausages :-)

How silly of me to think the list may be on the SW website!

Thanks Shala. Good to know it's not just me.
I haven't got a lot to lose really, 14lbs would have me in the lower half of a healthy BMI. It is the only class that really suits me so I won't change that and actually when your weight losses are regular/good then she really enthuses about that and we often have discussions about foods, menu planning ect so I don't think she is the problem. I must be doing something wrong somewhere and am hoping that I can sort it out. I have been a member for 11 months and have lost 11lbs in total!
    Today's menu
    EE
    He a skimmed milk
    He b hifi
    B banana and hifi
L egg, sw chips and beetroot. Apple
D ham salad (balsamic vinegar as dressing) j spud mullerlight
Snacks, frozen cherries (fab to suck on in the evening - our leader came up with that) and I bought some of the new rhubarb hifi bars so I might have one of those this evening (3)
    Comments and criisisms welcomed.
    Thanks x

It doesn't actually look as though you are eating enough! Also no speed food at breakfast and just some beetroot at lunch. It would be better if you could have some mushrooms and tomatoes with the egg and chips.

Also you aren't really having many syns, if you have 2 hifi bars that'll only be 6 syns. I found I lost better when having my full 15 syns a day (although like others on here I worked on a weekly allowance of 105 and worked down - I still do it this way now I'm at target).

It also looks like the hifis are intended to be an HEB so that's 0 syns  Or are the lighter bars not still 2 for an HEB?

I'd agree with needing to use your syns - they say 5 minimum but I find I need to go to the higher end (or maybe I have to snack and the syns cover it!)

  • I have just looked up the syn value of Vimto no sugar added jelly - it's 7 syns per pot!! How the heck did that happen?
Vimto sugar free squash and fizzy drink is free.
    Anyone know why this is?

And one last random musing... I won Miss Slinky in my group. I still occasionally see or hear about the prizes but I got nothing :( Not even a certificate. I was done!

I had a salted caramel one at breakfast before my weigh-in so I would need to syn the rhubarb one.
Thank you both for your input about lack of syns. I will try to up them on a daily basis and see how that goes.
An STS or anything off is much better than something on so I won't be giving up!

Thank you. I'll try to up my syns (no problem) this week and see how I go. Your other suggestions are also noted. Thanks again.
