Still working away at sticking to plan and getting better each week :D

After reading about Mamans slow cooker meals I bought one for myself and it has been lovely coming home to a sw friendly meal that is just ready to be put on a plate. It has helped cut down my snacking too.

A few days until weigh in so fingers crossed it is a loss this week!

Evening all - what a chatty lot we are!

Jocks I know what you mean about not wanting to waste syns on something that isn't worth it. Someone gave me a glass of wine yesterday and it was obviously from a cheap bottle. I drank it as I didn't want to offend, but I really wondered if I should be using syns for something and not really enjoying it.

Sweets wise, I don't eat any now, but when I first did SW I was much keener on chocolate and I used to find that one finger of Twirl was enough to satisfy the need. I can't remember how many syns it was, maybe 4?

I'm slightly embarrassed to say that most of my syns go on wine these days.:o

I've lost 0.5 pounds this week. Not a huge amount but definitely better than a gain.

So much easier when you plan ahead. :D

Absolutely!!! I think planning is one of the secrets of success for SW and I needn't remind you all of the other.;)

Pleased you tried a SC meal rummer. It's all part of the planning. I generally just cook for two so I use my SC for batchcooking. Several more meals of soup and savoury mince (and chilli from weeks back) in the freezer for future meal plans.

What MORE fish and chips!! Oh, silly me I forgot everything's syn free on WI day.:o
:T on getting back to target.

lois, the same happened to me last week. I sipped it slowly, so at least it saved me going back for more.

denise, the stir fry is an old M&S recipe card. Briefly you stir fry the chicken strips with 3 tbsp. (or a bit less) honey and 1 tbsp. of soy. When chicken almost cooked add your veg and cook that. Before serving stir through the juice of a lime. Chopped coriander stirred through the rice is good too. Had to change plan back to my usual free sauce (garlic, ginger, soy, 5 spice and a bit of stock) as I had no lime juice and it's not as good without.

Just as well I saved some syns as when I was finishing off the roast pork from Sunday, a piece of crackling found it's way to my mouth.:o

Shala - what are baked oats? never heard of them before! I've heard of overnight oats but they're not cooked at all IIRC.

    Denise

It's like baked porridge.. I used to make it ages ago and forgot all about it until I saw it on Instagram the other day. It's heb and 1 syn per portion.

Heb of porridge oats - 35g
    1 egg
    50ml milk (1 syn)
    sweetner to taste

Mix it all up and bake. You can add different flavours or fruits to it but you'd have to add the relevant syns too..

I made choc shot flavour and topped it with sliced bananas.

    Right chart time..

So SOTW* is.... :T:j:TJPSCLOUD:T:j:T with a loss of 4.5lbs!!

    Congratulations!

Thanks for the recipe for the stirfry sauce - sounds nice, might try that next time we have one. The syn free one also sounds good - so a choice of 2 good sauces; need to copy them both into my word documents so I don't lose them.

I also usually end up with some crackling "falling into my mouth" when we have roast pork, LOL!

The devilled pheasant breast was absolutely delicious. I cooked 2 breasts each but we only needed one so we're having the others tomorrow night - so another change of plan! Will probably do some cauliflower rice with it as well as the rice with is leftover.

    My day

Breakfast. Myfave Oatbran made with half water and half unsweetened almond milk and a banana.

Lunch was SW spag Bol followed by quark with sprinkle of orang choc options and a satsuma, mixed together.

Just made a lovely frittata for tea ...... Spinach, mushrooms, ham, onion, garlic, mixed herbs and 5 eggs (not all for me!!)

Had a pink n white 2.5 syns . 1 oz cheese grated on spag Bol. 5 syns. All in all a good day. Also did my daily walk.
  • -3 pounds for me this week

Also got Slimmer of the Week, missed out on SOTM by half a pound. Oh well I'll live without a fridge magnet. First time I've won SOTW in ages, as I've been fairly steady without being spectacular.

Group was nearly empty this week, no idea quite why. Got some Rhubarb and Custard bars, they tasted quite nice. Decided to try and eat some healthy bars for a bit more fibre and a bit less chocolate
