I'm giving the 5:2 one a go this week (combined with SW still) to see what happens (maybe not drop down as low as the 500 calories but figure if I'm dropping some calories then it should maybe make a slight difference!) Did my first one yesterday and scales show 2lb drop from yest morn (I'm a daily weigher unfort-can't help it!) and plan to do my other one tomorrow-it will be easier to do when I'm at work I think so I'm not constantly thinking about food! Start a new job in a couple of weeks and it was embarrassing asking for my size for a uniform so this has kind of spurred me on to REALLY do something about my weight this year... plus I have a friend who has just moved out to Florida so planning on going over later on in the year so want to drop the weight for that too :-)

Wins for 2020: April - Flowers, Keyring
  • just popping in to say hello. unfortunately Im not a great poster but do view most days to see how your all doing. I am trying not to weigh myself because if I don't lose enough I eat my body weight in food. If I lose a good amount, it gives me license to treat myself! im due weigh in next week and hope ive managed those 10lb for January! hope you are all doing well.

  • Afternoon all (was going to say morning, but I've just seen the time!)

I hope everyone's weekends are going well :)

    Today's food:

B - Weetabix and skimmed milk, tea
    L - Undecided
D - OH is making a chilli in the slow cooker, rice

Had a bad eating day yesterday. Breakfast was toast and tea, but lunch ended up a subway (just the sub) and then dinner was 2 satsumas and a Teasers chocolate bar :o

Trying to get back on track for today and tomorrow as my second WI is on Tuesday.

Just put savoury mince in the SC for tomorrow (think things like this, chilli and Bolognese always taste better cooked in advance to marinate). I left out the potatoes in the recipe so I can use for EESP if I need to. Did the same when I made soup earlier in the week.

Hahahaha that made me laugh way more than it should have!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I haven't been on here in aaaages and there are so many pages, wish I could read them all!

Last week I lost - 3.5lbs and this week I booked a holiday from group as I went to London for the day and had no way of getting to another group. So no idea what my loss is this week! Can't be good, temptation was there the past few days and M&M's World in London really didn't help! Too many pretty colours and the smell made me buy a huge bag of chocolate there and then. Then I had a chinese last night but vowed for that fresh start today! (Even though I did start the day with 4 chicken balls :( ) Don't know really how to syn them... anyone? But i've been looking at pictures and rethinking back to the reasons I started SW and i've got that determination back! :A
  • Well done on your loss Daisy. :T Sounds as though you had a fab time in London. At least you are giving yourself time to pull it back before your next wi.

Just like you and others have done, we have got to remember why we are doing this.

Thinking of booking a holiday from class next Monday as it is my birthday. Probably not doing anything but I think it will look a bit sad going to SW on my birthday. :o

Big fat huggles to you Mildredd xx

My single yorkie was delicious and worth the Syns!! Made me laugh as we've had a Yorkie and a Yorkie X over the years.:rotfl:

I made SW rice pudding with unsweetened Almond milk and it was gorgeous. I notice they're advertising this on TV at the moment .... Half the calories of skimmed milk. We've been having it for a couple of years now but I only buy it when its on offer for £1 a carton.

Just a really quick one as I need to go out and I'll do a proper catch up later..

Treeny I'm in exactly the same position as you.. I can't seem to get my head around trying to get back in the game since Xmas break. I stuffed myself yesterday with bread and pasta and crisps and chocolate.. :o so I'm starting the week having to lose more weight just to get a STS the same again next week! Have a good week enjoying your birthday and then have a time for yourself to think about losing weight/refocusing.

I think the things I'm going to focus on and this may help someone else which is why I'm writing them out

    - mini goals - I'd like to have lost 2lb by 6th Feb(out for afternoon tea), then my birthday is a month after.. I'd like to have lost another 2.5lb by then as that gets me to 13.7 - this would be the best birthday present every
    - remembering why I want to lose weight - I wrote post its and put them inside my wardrobe door - I need to make sure I look at them!
    - I may put some photos up inside my wardrobe too.. One at my smallest and one at my largest - helps to remember what I look like rather than what I think I look like!
    - food diary - write everything down!
    - meal plan - meal plan and stick to it!!
    - I need to remember it isn't fair when I can't eat what I want BUT if I want to be slimmer/healthier then I just need to get on with it, take responsibility and act like a grown up :D I don't do this one well..
    - eat more slowly to give myself time to realise I'm full

If anyone has any I can add to my list then feel free to say..I'm after anything at the minute that can kickstart it although I have woken up with a good bit of motivation :j:j it's usually once I've gone downstairs to the kitchen I lose it :(

E.t.a. Sorry that wasn't such a quick post after all :D

Wow! Thank you so much for the list! It's very useful to see it all written down like that, thanks again! :T:T
  • Friday was mine and my husbands anniversay :D.We had a day at the seaside, fish and chips{ssh} and cheesecake and chocolate! Oh dear! We had a lovely day, chatting about whats happened in the last almost 40 years, it's a miracle we're still together really! :):)
