you are not in any diet category

Your results indicate that none of the eating types we were testing for (Constant Craver, Feaster and Emotional Eater) are a particular issue for you.

    Your BMI Score is 25.70

    Recalculate
    You are overweight

Your body mass index is between 25 and 29.9. Your weight is above the healthy weight range for your height and your health is likely to benefit if you lose weight. Do you want to know which diet is right for you?

I thought I'd have a go at the quiz someone mentioned above. Re: the BBC2 tv program. First question was calculate BMI ...... Which it did, Then it said "You are very overweight." :(. Yeah, thanks for that!!!! :rotfl::rotfl: How stupid of me NOT to know that.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Taken the test and surprise surprise I am very overweight too and like our tweets I am not in any particular category. Just under 35 bmi and looking at the little chart I probably need another 1.5 stone off to get to just overweight.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.. Had a day of jobs being done.. Shower light burnt out so that was out of action for a couple of days.. Nightmare, I hate having a bath!

Garage door needed securing as is rotting.. Tried to remove dish washer as don't use it, a new freezer is coming Monday and can't get the damn thing out.. It's catching on something and the flooring is starting to rip with pulling it out.. Argggh.. Nothing ever goes smoothly does it?

Anyway, a little snooze was welcome after all that ;)

Been a good day food wise.. Not going to do my usual and spoil that!

  • Hello everyone.
I've not been on mse as a poster for a very long time but the time has come once again that I have reached the breaking point of my ongoing weight gain!
I have decided, wholeheartedly, that tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life and I need to, must, have to, want to...lose weight. I want to be able to lift clothes from supermarket rails knowing they will fit, I want to be able to wear clothes that fit me rather than hang loosely to cover the spare tyres! I want to have energy, to have pride in my appearance and to have inner happiness. Am I asking for too much?
Can I do this? I hope so.
Do I want to do this? Most definitely!!
Can I join you all please and share the good and bad with like minded folks?

    Hiya

Welcome Virgomaiden, those are great reasons to lose weight, and you can do it. Feel free to ask questions, share menus and join in the chat! By the way, I'm a Virgo too, what date is your birthday?

Pennylane - I've just done the test too. I couldn't get it to work when the link was first posted, but it worked this time. It says I'm very overweight (surprise surprise), a constant craver and should do intermittent dieting, the 5:2 diet in other words.

I have considered doing 5:2 but if I eat very low amounts of food my blood sugar levels drop and I start feeling really weak. That's ok if I'm having a quiet day at home, but not if I'm working or out and about.

It happened this week - I had porridge for breakfast, then h/m made veg soup for lunch, walked down to the beach bar for a coffee and then really struggled to walk back.

When I was a teenager I used to faint on a regular basis and it was always because I'd skipped meals!

    LL :)

Eta: my BMI was 36.40. I'll be happy to get below 30 and I need to lose another 4 stone to get there.
    Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.3
