Bitterly, bitterly disappointed. :( Stayed the same this week and it's only my second week ....... This time around.

Stuck to EE, weighed, synned everything and walked miles this week. I just don't get it. Every time I've done SW this same pattern develops ..... Lose a couple of pounds, stay the same for a few week, lose half a pound, stay the same for weeks and so on.

It is just so unfair!!!:cry:

I feel your pain Pennylane. It was my second week too. I followed the plan to the letter - I mean to the absolute letter - also walked miles and an aerobics class and I lost half a pound. Again. The scales flickered and weren't going to even give me that!

I am so very disappointed and disheartened.

Mrs_Ryan - sorry to hear your news. Puts my lack of weightloss into perspective!

Shala That was last weeks "result".I usually weigh in on Mon.a.m.

Not sure who mentioned doing S.W. on-line,but I did try it and didn't find it very good.Find a lot more help and inspiration on here. Did try the local group and that was awful. The one I went to when I stayed with my daughter was great and I lost a stone in a few weeks.Pity it's nearly 300 miles away.
Think it all boils down to doing what's right for you.

Mrs_ Ryan Sorry to hear about your friend.Know the feeling well.Had a friend for 50years who died 3 years ago and still think of her often. It does become easier with time x

Had an amazing loss of 2.5lb this morning, really pleased as it means I'm back into target range and not having to pay again!

Delighted for you denise and all our losers!!:T

MrsR, that's really depressing news about your player and coming on top of your friend's anniversary is such a blow for you. It's no wonder you turned to a pasty for a bit of comfort eating. So much of this weightloss business is emotional.:grouphug:

It is unfair penny, and incredibly frustrating but a regular weekly weightloss isn't the norm in my experience. Inazuma's right, many of us (me included) had a whole mix of losses, STS and gains so I look at my average over time which was just over a pound a week when I was getting to target. Most of that is my own fault (holidays, meals out etc) but that's RL for you. Do keep posting regularly and we'll help any way we can.

Lots of the new starters seem to have dwindled off, didn't take long to fly around us all.. Like the look of that new book coming out soon..

Exactly the same in my group, quite a civilised number there yesterday.

wiz, there's nothing wrong with having bread if it's a favourite. Probably better for you than potatoes (especially if it's wholemeal;)) as you can use some as a HEB and syn the rest if you're doing Green or having a go at your version of SP.

elly, I've yet to hear from anyone who thinks the online programme gives enough support for the money. It's only advantage compared with going it alone seems to be that you do get access to the syn values and other info on the website.

lush, why not sit down with BF and make a list of all the things he'd eat and do the same for yourself. When he's away you could have 'your' meals and the more sinful shared meals when he's around. Surely as an athlete, some of the meals he has have to be healthy which you could tweak to SW?

I've got a jar of redcurrant jelly in the fridge (from Christmas) that I can't make myself throw out. I've been adding a tsp to HM gravy.

My EE meal plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: ham, fried veg inc. potatoes
D: SW burgers, mushrooms, fried onions, tomatoes, peas, SW chips or wedges
Syns: scrape of spread, weekend wine:j

Yesterday ee (Could have called it Green but try to stick to EE most days)

Breakfast: 2 high bars and banana

Lunch: 2 quorn pork style steaks 1, super speed soup (made of carrots, leek, peppers, parsnips, tomatoes, onion, passata, spices, veg stock, lentils, beans)

Tea: more soup, SW chips, ketchup 1, light mayo 1

Snacks: Muller light mint, choc chip cookie 3, 1/2 cheese & onion roll 4.5 (definitely need to throw kids leftovers away rather than being tempted by them)

Syns: 10.5, didn't stick to my initial plan, possibly because it wasn't complete, also didn't have a healthy A

    Today EE
    B: None
L: 3 Linda McCartney rosemary sausages, instant mash, beans, worcestershire sauce
T: Egg mayo on wholemeal roll, flora light, lots of salad, gherkins
    Snacks: Apples, cheese triangles

Again no speed foods with lunch, as nothing in. Have Tesco order coming later with lots of veg and fruit. Resolution for the rest of the week - eat lots and lots of vegetables! Also remember to eat breakfast.

Hi all I am thinking about joining SW I need to make some major changes to my lifestyle and this seems to be the best way to get it done, I will have to do the online option as the classes in my area dont fit in with my work/kids timetable. Does anyone here do the online program and how do they find it? (I went to some meetings many moons ago and tbh they made me uncomfortable). I have a thyroid problem(controlled with tablets) and am an insulin dependent type 2 diabetic who at my last weight check was 113kg (am too scared to convert this into stones atm:() the only good thing to come out of my review is that my blood pressure is within target.

Welcome aboard elly. :hello: I think that the people who have tried online say that the only advantage is having access to finding out syn values. If you could get to a class even just for one time and get the books and new starter chat, I am sure that you will find support by the bucketful and any questions just ask away. :D

Having a bit of a meh day - planning on getting all sorts done but have ground to a massive halt. The sneaky morning weigh ins are increasing as the week goes on  Will check to see how many of these days have been SP

Elly - I was going to suggest the same as b_e_g. Think it's really worth going along to a group for the introductory talk and to get the books.

If you have a young child(ren) they would be welcome as well. I go to a morning group and we have loads of little ones - from a few weeks old to almost school age and they all seem to be very well behaved (most of the time!).

I'm at work and exactly the same - staff morale in the other rooms is getting lower and lower and I've just had no motivation today. I am now seriously on the look out for something new - before I was just keeping an eye out the same as always however today I registered with 2 employment agencies :/ hopefully something comes along that's suitable, I can give my four weeks notice and seamlessly transition across :/ sad as I love my job at the minute and would need to see just a few changes to really motivate me again to crack on...

maman that is what I have tried to do today, I have made a list of everything he will eat and some suggestions for him to try new things. Most are easily tweaked to make them better for both of us; e.g. not to buy chicken and bacon pie but make our own with left overs from sunday lunch and just a pastry (or mash potato) top.

When he's away I ted to eat from the freezer if it's just a few days (so soups, casseroles, other dishes I've batch cooked before and frozen so I just reheat and eat) if it's longer I mix that with batch cooking something like chile to add a new 'ready meal' to the mix. At the minute I'm trying to run our freezer down so that I can just do a freezer shop one month and make sure it's all good stuff (theres all sorts in there at the moment - a box of burgers we haven't touched, cheap ice cream we don't eat, various single portions of frozen meats I haven't got round to using yet!)

In a few months time; once all the frosts have passed and I don't need to know how to drain it down wonder bairn and I will go over to the caravan if bf has weekend camps and I'm hoping we can get a week over there in the summer so I am considering buying a second cheap slow cooker to keep over there :) we don't have a freezer there though so I'd probably get a smaller one and we'd have two meals from it

I have some new recipes I want to eventually get around to trying for wonder bairn which I can tweak to feed adults too so next weekend when bf is away I may have a play in the kitchen and try making a couple of them and freezing in batches :)

I forgot to get chicken out to defrost for tea (going to just dice it and fry it off then stir in to a birds eye steam fresh pasta pack) but bf has told me we need to pop to his grandparents once I'm done at work...I'll probably end up defrosting it in the microwave I guess
