  • I lost 7.5lbs my first week.

Before I went I put on jeans and a jumper, I ate a chinese banquet, drank 2 pints of water.

I also ate a load of crap all the time, my lunch was either two greggs pasties and some chocolate and 2 dr peppers, or the chip shop. Then I'd eat a big tea.

So it's easy to lose a lot if you lived an awful lifestyle and manipulated, but I think you can easily manipulate your weight by five pounds.

I could have lost more in my first week but drank a load of water and wore jeans and a jumper, I didn't see the point as first week weight loss didn;t count, figured I'd take a bigger loss the second week

Also you need to remember that the majority of weight loss is water rather than pure fat, it's actually impossible to lose 5lbs of fat in a week, but your body is 70% water, so for every pound of fat lost, you also lose 2 of water.

I never really understood the advertising of freakish weight losses, half the time they whinge about safe weight losses being 2lbs, then reward huge weight losses.
  • Evening everyone

Well done to all of today's losers:T. Commiserations to stsers and gainers. :(

Lunch today was hm lentil and bacon soup (2 bowls) followed by fruit. Dinner was gammon, brocolli, carrots, swede and petit pois followed by fruit salad.

Still got hexs to have - just hope I'm not going to be too worn out to eat them.

Well I can finally report a loss for the chart! -2lb please shala, pleased with that.. Won the raffle too so a good night!

Lots of the new starters seem to have dwindled off, didn't take long to fly around us all.. Like the look of that new book coming out soon..

Mourning the end of the chocolate orange hifi tho.. Wish I'd stocked up on them :(

Good luck everyone yet to WI x

:T:T well done mich... nice raffle prize?

I've noticed we've had a lot of drops outs on the chart too... I've deleted at least 14 so far :( maybe it was something I said ;):p

and well done to all the other losers and sts'rs and gaining sticker-at-erer's:T:T

I managed a STS this week.. :o not sure what happened, thought i'd been reasonably good but I've felt bloated and uncomfortable all week.. lady issues again two weeks after my last lot :(

Going to try really hard this week, see if I can reach my stone sticker.. i'm having my hair cut tomorrow so that'll be 1 lb won't it :rotfl:

  • Shala - I have noticed you and others refer to the chart, but i haven't seen one?
As a newbie to this thread, it is very hard to follow, and seems to be honest a group who already know each other. I like following the posts, I posted a little at first as I would on other SW group pages, but this doesn't have the same feel. Its possible its the way the site works, i cant work out how people comment back to previous posts etc. Maybe these things contribute to the drop-out. I shall carry on with the challenge (although I have no idea where to find the collated information) and I shall carry on following the posts. Well done to you for thinking up this challenge :)

*SOTW is the person who has lost the most weight this week, but also had a loss or sts last week.

Here's the chart then.. :D as you can see we've lost 24% of our total pledge which is brilliant when we've only just entered week 3.. :T:T well done to everyone for sticking at it whether we've lost or not!!

Thanks tweets for reposting the chart.

naturaljazz, I post the chart weekly, it isn't hard to find if you look back through the posts as it's a massive picture. I'm not quite sure why you couldn't find it, but if you have a suggestion to make it more findable then please let me know. i can't post it more than once a week as I just don't have time...

I appreciate that the thread moves very fast especially at this time of year and I think this is why some people drop out as they just don't have the time to keep up. Although we have a lot of drop-outs other times of the year too..

I guess another reason, just as the reason why they stop going to SW class is their January motivation goes - I heard a statistic on the radio that 4 out of 5 people who started a 'healthy eating' regime at the start of January will have already given up this week.

I apologise if the thread seems a bit cliquey but I don't think anyone gets ignored intentionally, I think we all try and answer questions and review people's posts but as you can appreciate we can't reply to everyone's post otherwise the thread would be even bigger..

To reply to people you click the 'quote' button under their post and it will bring up the reply box with their post in. You can then reply underneath.

E.t.a.On my iPad so sorry if this post seems a bit jumbled but I can't see much of my screen and if I attempt smilies then it goes horribly wrong lol - it's not my intention to come across bluntly so apologies if anyone is reading it that way...
