Our consultant told us last night to do a kind of hand signal to her if we don't want to talk during IT. I've been going 30+ weeks and it's the first I heard of this!

OH WOW!! I can imagine the sort of hand signals some of us might use for that!! Lantanna, you'd be brilliant and first in line!!:D

Thanks Maman re parsnips - I'd forgotten they're one of the veg that can't be used as Speed because they're starchy; still nothing to stop me having it on EE days:D which as you know is what I do mainly.
    Denise

It'd be OK on Green days too and you have those often.

Shala, all I'd say about your EE menu is remember that bananas aren't on the Speed list any more. I know many of us are sticking with the old plan but if there's just one thing that EESP has taught me it's to be mindful of the things that have changed/been introduced probably as a result of people getting stuck. So bananas are still a free food but if you're relying on them to be part of your 'at least a third of Speed' on EE then they won't be as good as other fruits on the new list. As you all know:o I've long been obsessed with SFs and thought that many of them (green, leafy veg) are better than others (fruit in general).

I'm thinking of having a Green day to offset the cheese in my dauphinoise but that means only 60g of gammon and I just love the stuff. If I can't resist an extra slice it'll have to go down as syns. Strange how you can syn food that's free on other plans with Green and Red but it doesn't work for SP??

    So my Green Plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese and beetroot
D: HEB gammon, dauphinoise potatoes (with HEA cheese), carrots, peas, onion, cabbage
Syns: maybe xtra gammon, crème fraiche, and anything else that makes for over and above my HEXs.

No snow here but we rarely get it down South unless it's a nationwide blanket. Keep safe those of you slipping and sliding, especially as you're not so padded now!

Not seem MrsR for a few days, maybe she's enjoying the freedom of her new travel pass.
  • Hi everyone :hello:

I just joined SW yesterday. Looking to lose around 2 stone

    Welcome aboard 1stBusiness

Sorry I didn't comment on your 'M' NSV jock :T

We have a few little groups in our class mich that are quite happy to have conversations with each other whilst consultant is talking to members. I think it was getting to consultant last week as she was starting to make comments. It is so rude

Well done mumoftwo for going to class - now get that line drawn and get back on it. You can do it. Does your consultant contact you between classes if she knows you are struggling?

Our SW has a Facebook page and apparently it is very popular. I am probably one of the few who don't do Facebook - it takes me all my time keeping up with this thread

My consultant usually calls me one of the 'stars' as so far I am probably one of if not the biggest loser in the group so far. It hasn't been too much of a problem so far but I think she is aware that I do not feel too comfortable at being singled out. I am so shy ;)

Well done to losers who I haven't mentioned. Hang on in there STSs and gainers and hopefully you will be rewarded next wi.

Snow has turned to rain I think :j

Not sure if the consultant contacts members in between classes, she hasn't contacted me yet, but then I haven't gained 4 lbs before, lol We do have a groups fb page and she posts inspirational stuff on there nearly every day.

Yes getting a little sick of trying to drill down why someone isn't losing weight, it's usually because after about five mins of questioning they like to drink 3 beers before bed or went out to Taybarns. Its fair enough but we ran out of time for the girl who was feeling down as she'd not lost weight (nice girl who has lost 4st but stuck) who we could have helped.

I got a shirt from Debenhams for Christmas, that looked like a tent on me so I took it back, I assumed it was an XL my usual size, but turns out it was an L.

I am now comfortably a Medium!!! I've never bought M clothes in my whole life, in 1994 when I was 13, I was wearing size L football shirts. I know that because I still have them.

I can't imagine myself ever being Small, I'm 6ft 2, but the M ones were looking a little baggy.

Well done Jock, enjoy wearing your shirt.

Any room for a lodger Crabapple until spring please. We could keep each other on the right track SW wise. ;) :rotfl:

I live in a tiny 2 bed terrace with hubby, a toddler, a baby, all the assorted stuff they have, and 4 cats. You are welcome to try to find a space somewhere but even our shed is packed to the rafters :rotfl:

I've assembled a homity pie ready to cook for tea :) Did have all the ingredients, or at least the ones I use - the recipe is more of a general guideline now! One thing I really prefer to get more flavour in is to cook the potatoes (and any other root veg, cos I've used swede, carrot & parsnip) in with a stock cube, and transfer some of that stock across to the other veg as it cooks.

Not going to dwell on it, it is done. Start again today. I'm glad I went but it was really busy so couldn't stay. Had hospital appt with DD and was scared class would be running late so left.

Don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes a gain is what you need to set yourself on the right tracks. Draw a line and move on with supercharged willpower and enthusiasm. :D
