Good morning all.
No snow here, but it is very cold (-5) just now, brrrrrr! Still got a thin veneer of old snow, which can’t melt and ice on themill pond down from the village. Tweets, my grandkids are desperate for snow like that!
Hello, 1stBusiness, take a seat and join the chat
Maybe leaders should focus on why people think they lost weight, or on the people who have lost after being in the doldrums, ie look for inspiration!
Congrats on the M clothes, jocko. Wear them with pride.
I got a melon with my T delivery on Sunday and it is still as hard as a boulder! So between that and the rock- like pears, I’m not doing well for fruit. DH is out bowling this morning so he will bring some soft fruit/berries home – if he remembers.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Hi everyone.. Been feeling a bit blah.. This flipping cold weather isn't helping, thank god we got more rain than snow here in North Manchester, other areas were hit worse..
Hi Mich City, I'm in North Manchester too, the snows getting heavier now, you might have spoken too soon!!
Thanks for the chart Shala, my details are all ok:)
I enjoy my group meeting, but I admit it can get a bit tedious when she announces all the losses and gains. I'm another who doesn't like being singled out, especially if its not a good result. It is an incentive to stay on plan though!!New Year New You Challenge - 13.5lbs/10lbs

Morning all
Thanks for the chart Shala - my details are wrong, I should have lost 10lbs! :rotfl:
Welcome 1st Business - it's an advantage to start with empty cupboards, you won't be worried about using up food that doesn't fit in with SW. You might find shopping takes longer while you're rethinking what you usually buy, but if you buy plenty of veg and fruit you won't go far wrong.
Jocks - great news re the shirt. :T
I used to go to group with a friend who lost 8 stone, the most of anyone in the group at the time and of course the consultant treated her as the shining star, an inspiration to all.
However the friend still had some way to go and she was struggling, but didn't get the opportunity to say so. She got so fed up with it, she joined a new group and started from scratch so she would get more support.
DH and I are going out for lunch today, we'll be eating at about 2, so we've had melon and strawberries for breakfast. I'm driving back, so I'll be on diet coke or tonic water if they've got slimline. The restaurant does really nice puddings which I may not be able to resist! If I don't have wine at least I'll have syns to play with.
Back later, have a good day, be careful out there!

I'm in Failsworth near Oldham.
It's not sticking here, thank goodness. I did the school run this morning with my 2 DGD's, but I won't be going out again today. I hate snow and ice!!New Year New You Challenge - 13.5lbs/10lbs

I hang my head in shame +4 lb , thanks Shala
Not going to dwell on it, it is done. Start again today. I'm glad I went but it was really busy so couldn't stay. Had hospital appt with DD and was scared class would be running late so left.0 -
Lois - I feel exactly like your friend does!!!
Mumoftwo - Applaud your honesty, exactly line drawn and get on with it now!0 -
Don't worry mumoftwo, you don't have to hang your head here. Just draw a line under it and as you said start fresh x
All of you stuck in the snow, look after yourselves. I think it's going to rain here this afternoon. I'd prefer snow but then I don't have to leave the house again today
Welcome business, this is a friendly chatty thread so pop in and tell us how you are doing and feel free to ask for any advice
Well done on your medium shirts jock! My hubby is a small in everything, but at 5'3"ish (he won't let me measure him!) he has a big struggle with the length of trousers and has been known to buy children's ones to get them to fit. Good thing he is thin really!
We don't go round the room every week thank goodness. Sometimes she does and other times she talks about something in particular (this week she expanded on the 10 tips for success from the new book) and by the time we'd done that and handed out the shinies it was time to go home! There were a lot of January starters who got their half stone shiny:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

I got the doodle diary and finding it hard putting my daily menu in. Good job I don't have a breakfast or my daily menu wouldn't fit in. Was thinking next week seeing I don't exercise of putting menu in both food and exercise boxes
Why didn't I think of using two pages for food. My reckoning was that if I kept seeing blank exercise pages I might make some sort of attempt at writing something on them. I find it much easier to get out and do a bit of walking in the fine weather and I also get out into the garden which I don't class as excercise but it is activity as opposed to sitting on sofa stitchingMy husband weighs less than 10 stone. I'd count him as a smallish person :rotfl:
No snow here - we had a sprinkle on two mornings last week but it was gone pretty quickly. Down south and in our area it rarely hits except on the hills, something to do with the lie of the land.
Any room for a lodger Crabapple until spring please. We could keep each other on the right track SW wise.:rotfl:
I think my DH is around 11ish atm but would like to get his xmas/new year/getting rid of all naughties gain and plus a bit more to get to target. He is a shorty at around 5ft 5".jockosjungle wrote: »What do people do at their meetings? All we basically do is go round the room finding out how everyone has done, that generally takes more than the full hour and we don't have time for anything else. Now we've got more people, it's positively tedious.
We usually start IT around 8.00pm going all around the room discussing peoples losses/gains. The move onto group/SW news/raffle and announce SOTW. Quite often it is around 8.50-9.00pm when we are getting out. By then the concentration is starting to wander if I am perfectly honest
