I'm way behind on the thread so I'll catch up tomorrow.

    +2lb for the challenge Shala

I'm really annoyed because I just can't see where it came from. I had 1 bad day last Monday. Strict EESP the rest of the week, and exercise every day. I wasn't expecting a major loss after losing 8lb last week, but a 2lb gain is just ridiculous!

The only thing I can think of is maybe my body was protesting over 2 weeks of EESP. All the other diets that cut out carbs replace them with fat. Maybe cutting both fat and carbs isn't a great idea. Has anyone else had issues with doing 2 weeks together?

Back to EE tomorrow and hopefully there'll be a loss next week...Although I have a bit of extra ground to make up now as I ate a load of junk today :(

Maman that dress looks lovely and well done for getting down to an 8.!

Thanks but I really think it's probably a 10, just M&S sizing.:) Good luck for tomorrow. Just get back on plan and you'll start seeing the results.

    Hi all
I have been reading and rereading and I can't figure it out!! Never done slimming world but an acquaintance has had amazing results but I can't get my head round it! Could anyone give me a dummy's guide before I see if it's right for me?? Thanks in advance
    Sal

It's all about healthy eating, eating plenty but eating the right things. So lean meat, plain carbs and veg and the things we know aren't best kept in moderation. Common sense really. Look at the first post on the thread to give you a brief synopsis or look on the SW website for a sample 7 day menu.

Hi all, done SW years ago, thinking of doing it again but not classes. Has anything changed majorly? EE had just been introduced when I left.

EE is still the main plan but this month they've introduced a plan to speed up weightloss either when you start to give you a boost or for special occasions or when you're stuck in a rut. It's called EESP (Extra Easy Speed Protein). Briefly it's a low/carb free version of Extra Easy. So to explain it simply if you think of an EE meal as thirds of lean meat, veg and potatoes. The EESP version is just meat and veg half and half. Syns are the same and you can have an extra HEB. A few changes in the fruit list (bananas, kiwis, blueberries, pineapple are now just free not superfree). I'd suggest you go to a group once, get the books and the introductory talk and then stick around on here.

Maybe it would be the waistband of your trousers that could guide you, especially if you have a bit of a belly to lose. I know my DH is delighted when he has to tighten his belt (that's literally not metaphorically).

I normally go off my belts, but had some old 34 inch waist jeans and they're loose, I started in a 38inch pair. I tried some trousers in a 32 in the Sainsbury's sale but couldn't get them fastened so not there yet.

I like using my belts though, I got rid of the first XL belt after making four of my own notches in it, I'm now in a L belt but on the last real notch, it doesn't really hold my trousers up very well any more so need to put one in.

Might look at a M belt from somewhere.

Didn't do so well at the weekend, had a family party, there were chips, buns, cakes, etc. Nothing I could really work with, but I skipped tea and seem to have just about got away with it.

I want a decent weight loss this week to fly the flag for Extra Easy, I want the new members to see you can lose a decent amount without doing the SP thing.

Blooming heckfluff1987...10lbs? Congrats to your friend though

Today's rough plan for me is (on EESP):

B: cereal (HEB1) and milk (HEA)
    L: Left over roast dinner
D: chilli with veg instead of rice

Snacks: not sure yet, maybe 2x HiFi Light? (HEB2). Milk in tea
    Syns: undecided at the mo

    Have a good day all

Morning everyone, hope you are all well.

I've been giggling away to myself all week with the topics on here; bloomers, bucket knickers and trumping!! It all adds to the lovely supported feeling without things being too serious.

My week has gone well. We have a new addition to the family - a lovely great niece :T We managed two long walks - though yesterdays was more like an ice skating session. Had to laugh when we got to the garden centre and they were playing "slip sliding away" :rotfl: Managed to finish off the tiling in the kitchen and have "mist coated" the newly plastered wall in the front room (that must be good for some body magic right??)

I need some new bike gear for the summer so have decided to go through my wardrobe and EBay all my old dresses that no longer fit. I will probably sell some of my bike gear that is too big now too. Hopefully I will raise enough to fund the new stuff.

Anyway, to business. Shala can you put me down for a loss of 3 3/4 pounds please. Very pleased with that.

Have a great week everyone, I will be trying my best to keep up with all your chatter :)

Oh, forgot to say thanks to Wiz for the hot Vimto tip - it's lush and now my new favourite drink

Ive had the lasagne before, hubby made it. I enjoyed it but both hubby and son said it was too sloppy. Seemed fine to me.

Thanks for that TIE. Will watch out for the amount of liquid as I don't really do sloppy :D

Also had a good giggle I saw what I thought were funny shaped bras, but when I looked at the label they were Bum enhancers, like a padded bra but for your bum, who on earth would need them every woman I have ever met is usually trying to lose a bit.

Don't think I will be looking for these anytime soon meg :rotfl:

Could it have been an artificial loss last week whiplashy last week and has levelled out this week. You say you are doing a second week on EESP - don't forget to add a few normal EE days or an extra HeA. ;) Good luck for this week and hope you feel happier after your next wi.

 Just seen the time. Got an appt with nurse for injection and bp so will have to read the other posts later today.

    I also like purple :rotfl:

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

My menu wasn't great but I am starting with the best of intentions today, I've made a soup for my lunch and breakfast was a slice of toast (HEB) with peanut butter (half a tablespoon) (syns) and now I'm eating greek 0% yogurt with a banana and a measured amount of muesli (35g) (syns) (need to work out)

I've got fruit to snack on (kiwis and nectarines).

I don't know about tea yet.

If I'm being honest, I'm not feeling the love at the moment. I want to be healthier but counting syns is driving me dotty and not something I'm finding easy to mange and haven't in a long while. I don't know what to do for the best really :( I attend the class so pay the sub each week. I think I just want to go back to bed and sleep until Spring!
