Thanks. It's tie's favourite too. I already have purple suede heels and a purple velvet coat so needed something to match and keep the costs down a bit so I'm delighted.:) I'll need to keep right down in my target range though to make sure it fits. Good incentive.;)

Purple is also my favourite colour :)

The dress is nice but I don't wear dresses very rare to see me in a dress last time was about 5 year ago.

Just wait until you get to target and see how you feel them. Wearing skirts and dresses and experimenting with colours has all happened for me since starting SW. If you're not happy with showing your legs, try opaque tights and/or knee length boots.
  • Purple and teal are my 2 favourite colours, so I love both the dresses :)

Lois - i think you can have a lot of Almond milk for a hea instead of normal milk..

Thanks for the info. I don't use much milk, only in cups of tea, so I go without a HEA 1 or 2 days a week to cover for it and have cheese on the other days.

I did something i don't normally do today, i threw away some of my food from brunch  the hash browns weren't as nice as i remembered so it wasn't worth wasting 4.5 syns so i stopped myself from eating them and threw them away!

For someone who has to eat everything put in front of me that is a big step (i'm not condoning wasting food by the way but better it's in the bin than on my hips/thighs/*rse)

Good for you, hash browns are definitely not worth wasting syns on.

Like you I dislike wasting food and try to avoid it, however I've forced myself to overcome the need to eat everything on my plate.

This is something that was drummed into me as a child with guilt trip persuasion like 'think of the starving children in Africa', and threats like 'if you don't eat it now you'll get it for breakfast' and 'if you don't eat your dinner you won't get any pudding'.

My DH can't bear to see food thrown away either and will eat my leftovers.

All I can say is it's no wonder we're both overweight!

Must share a NSV. Went to M&S yesterday (to collect new knickers:D) and browsed their sale. I got myself a lovely dress for a wedding I'm going to next month and it's a size 8!

Size 8! That's a real achievement, and the whole outfit sounds lovely. I'm a purple fan too. :D

:eek::eek: I adore hash browns!! I think it's cos I'm veggie so they are the only real special part of a cooked breakfast that I get to eat :rotfl:

I had a really bad off plan day yesterday :( first one that wasn't a planned day off IYWIM. Annoyed with myself, but have drawn a line under it and started afresh today.

I have never been a girly girl wearing dresses prefer trousers but wear nice tops and jumpers. I did SW years ago when my DS was small and got to just over 10 stone and preferred coloured jeans to skirts and dresses. My favourite pair was bright red because I support Manchester United.

Well, I suppose someone has to!;):rotfl:

I'm another that hates waste but I did pour the last of the 'white water' down the sink. I sort of average my HEAs too. I only have cereal/porage a couple of days a week so probably have more than my allowance then but on the other 5 days I'm probably under but I haven't measured since I first started. It's not really allowed but. as they say, it worked for me. I think it was lantanna or mildredd said the other day they don't measure milk either but it was something you could tighten up on if weightloss stalled. I don't measure cereal either.:o

Back again, this time on my laptop as I haven't figured out how to add links on the iPad!

There's a thread full of SW recipes that dates back to 2006 so not all of them are still SW friendly link here.

JPScloud - there are recipes for cakes including a Weetabix cake if that's of any interest and the SW version of Ferrero rocher using scanbran is here.

    HTH.

Thanks Lois, those sound good - I'm looking for something worth making as a cake substitute. Will have a hunt around.

Thank b_e_g, I need to plan better I think and really focus!

I have booked a 'wardrobe review' at John Lewis next month and I want to make sure I am comfortably into the next size, at the moment I'm still a bit pinched. Maybe I'll find a nice purple coat!!
    Trying to keep in budget.
