I love Almond milk and Alpro original but I can only have it cold on my cereal. It goes funny in my tea or coffee. Does anyone know why.
I have to buy normal skimmed milk if I want a milky coffe / latte.
    HELP !!!

Well done on your loss mim. You must have made a vat of that campfire stew but it seems to be working!

Not sure of my menu for today. I've had SW breakfast (baked beans), plenty of options for lunch but may eat out tonight. If not, tempted to have synful supper of curry from supermarket and maybe chips and samosas. I need the freezer space.;)

I added an extra tin of beans to make it go further and I was looking for something low carb for lunch.

    Enjoy your curry :D

Wizkid Not sure what the problem is, I just use it as I would normal milk. I normally use the Blue Diamond Almond milk but this morning I've got Alpro Almond milk as Sainsbug's was out of the BD. Occasionally the almond milk goes a bit gloopy especially if its near the end of the carton, but a good shake usually sorts that out.

This week I STS however I am quite pleased as I didn't eat as well as I had hoped :o Just off to read through the pages I have missed....

  • Maman - hi there, I remember you from another site a while ago! Loved your comment about mim's vat of campfire stew - my fridge is always full of HM soup in individual tuppaware boxes so I can take them to work! That's my secret weapon for weight loss - I even buy the veg soup packs from Asda so it's dead easy to make! Lovely and warming in the winter too, can't bring myself to eat salads when the weather's cold!

On Monday at weigh in lost 3lb! so pleased as prior to that had lost 1/2lb for 2 weeks then STS then 1/2lb again so 3lb was great.

Well done hwoolgar :T - just goes to show that if we stick to it even if our losses are small it will show up eventually. Good luck for the coming week.

Morning, woke up with a headache which did not respond to painkillers. Think it may have been low blood sugar as it is now easing since I had breakfast.

Its a 1lb LOSS this week SHALA Was hoping for a little more but at least its going in the right direction again.

Hope your headache has cleared durham. Well done on your loss :T Happy mattress hunting :rotfl:

On the subject of bra fitting, the usual method is for the fitter to measure you and then tell you what size to go for, but it's actually more complicated than that. A good fitter will find different styles and sizes of bra for you to try and then advise you on the best style for your shape as well as the best size.

    LL :)

I remember being told by a bra fitter years ago when I went for a fitting that as I lost weight the around measurement would go down but the cup would go up. Well considering I'm currently in G the thought of going even bigger  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Been out to Mum's, Lidl, butchers and dropped stuff off at charity shop. That's half of my clothes challenge done lantanna - now for the fleabay stuff ;)

Today is going to be an EE sort of day I think

    B - pear and apple

Lunch - bacon egg, beans mushrooms and tomatoes followed by satsumas

Dinner - roast chicken, SW roasties, loads of veggies (to be decided later) and small amount of stuffing and little bit of gravy

    Supper - overnight oats (hexb)

Snacks - milky coffee hexa (possibly) and some choccie ;)

Syns - gravy, stuffing, choccie and maybe a choccie finger

Above plan is subject to change ;)

    Have a good day everyone.

Totally on the struggle bus atm. Been eating everything in sight, I will spare you the details but crisps, bread and cheese and alcohol were involved :eek:

+2lb for me please Shala, going the wrong way

Today is a new day! Back on plan. Been shopping for the right things and going to make a meal plan. Making soup too.

Does anyone use daily affirmations? Saw it on tv, that nice guy from the program "a year to save my life" uses it. Wonder if it helps.

Off to catch up with the thread

I once made DS a cuppa made with the BD almond milk and it looked really peculiar so I just told him to shut his eyes when I drank it. ;) I had to admit it didn't look very appetising. :D

For Shala- 3lb loss :D was so surprised had to get on scales twice to make sure :rotfl:. Don't really feel like I've lost though, tummy quite bloated as have usual weekend 'issues' :o. Doubled up on meds today to try and help. Now off to sainsbugs to do what was going to do last night, maybe tricky as son wants to come with us. Catch you all later, have a good weekend and keep the faith all :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
    Keep the Faith All

    Heartbroken 12.12.13
  • I did go out in the end last night. I somehow drank about 45 syns :o As long as I stick to a maximum of 10 per day for the rest of the week though hopefully I should be fine. I must say that I'm feeling more than a little delicate today though, which isn't making it too easy to stick to plan - I'm perservering so far though!
