Tweets you were on about NAS drinks I mentioned vimto.;)

Maman you could try a can but I am not sure if it tastes the same as a bottle of the cordial it lasts ages and if you have a B&Ms store where you live they are a lot cheaper.

    Must have forgot sorry.

I do have Vimto at work. Somedays teacher brings staff in kitchen a jug full that wasn't sold at breaktime to the kids. We get it free ;) I only have one mug full lovely warm Vimto :D

    Hi all

    quick post from me.

Well done on the losses and hello to new joiners.

Went to the docs today. Slept from 7pm to 5:15am and then woke up as I felt I couldn't breathe. My throat felt like it had closed over and it was horrible. I decided between that and my cough that I have had from October, my stomach cramps and a mysterious rash I developed over my body last night that I maybe needed some intervention and lo and behold I actually got some antibiotics. So still off my sw menu at present as gut still playing up but hopefully this will be me on the road to recovery. Doc thinks I just have picked up a really nasty virus and just not able to shift it.

Hope all the others feeling under the weather are feeling a bit better now.

In the last 24 hours two people have commented that i look like a lost weight and they're both people who don't know I'm on a diet :D I know it might be a bit shallow, but it's really cheered me up after a busy, stressful week!

I'm also currently battling with the urge to go out and get drunk tonight. I know it might impact my weightloss, plus I'm pretty skint but I really reaaaaaallllly feel like it!

Oh blinkered it's a great feeling when people comment on your loss especially when they had no idea you were doing SW (refuse to say dieting unless its EESP of course).

Cannot really help with your desire to go out and get drunk as I don't really do alcohol but Maman's plan of saving some syns for weekend drinkies seems to work for her and a few of our other members. Why not give it a go and see if it works for you. Good luck. hic :D

That's an excellent start. Well Done!:T

Maybe it would be the waistband of your trousers that could guide you, especially if you have a bit of a belly to lose. I know my DH is delighted when he has to tighten his belt (that's literally not metaphorically).

I managed a bit of lunch. Incredibly I had a small omelette with the one egg left in fridge! I found mushrooms, pepper, spring onions and tomato to fry and made a veggie omelette. Just a small pan (7/8 ins) and I put some cheese on top as we've been having skimmed milk the past few days (an experiment I won't repeat) so I reckoned I could call it part HEA.

My hubby usually goes by the waist of his trousers - the so and so is now in 30"s. I always remember many years ago he got down to around 9st something and he still had a bit of a podgy belly going on - people would have thought he was a beer drinker which I can cofirm he isn't. He has health issues going on which make it difficult for him to exercise so I think by now he will probably just have to put up with it. He has lost around 3st whilst we have been doing SW (he is much more lax now as he is nearing target and I am still in for the long haul). I was going to kid him that I have entered us in for a SW competition for couples who have been doing it together - I think he would have a heart attack at the thought of it there again he might call my bluff :rotfl:

Skimmed milk in our house is affectionately known as 'white water'. I am getting DS converted mind you. I use it as we are allowed more of it for hexa and I am happy to make the compromise.

Was this for me I haven't mentioned vimto have I ?

    Good Afternoon :)

Work said well done when I told them I had lost and went on they couldn't do it on their own because they haven't got willpower like me :D I looked at their face and could tell they jealous well :p to them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I couldn't have put it better myself tweets. Well done you
    :T

Message for lantanna - the fleabay stuff has been sorted, photographed and the details worked out (except postage) and I will list five items tomorrow. And........... two bags for the charity shop :p:D

Hubby has made the fish and chips from the new mag where you use egg whisked up to make a coating 'batter' for the fish. The fish is cooked and looks lovely but the flamin chips still look white  ETA the fish came out of the oven nice and crispy but went a bit sad whilst waiting a bit for the chips to brown. Would def try again and ignore SW timings :D

Have a great evening everyone whether you are staying in or going out (blinkered) ;)

I really can't recommend getting properly measured enough. I went before I joined SW as it made me feel less flabby. I went again after getting to target (delighted to have lost weight on my back but retained larger cup size:D). Now I know my size I go to TKMaxx.
I really need to.. Went to a local bra shop that size you without using a tape.. They only had one bra in that I liked which was a hefty £38!! Near fainted but felt I had to buy something.. It's like wearing a straight jacket and so uncomfortable.. Think I'll try M+S or Debs to see what size they say I am!

Mich City pmsl at White Dee lol!Get that sorted now!!! One White Dee is more than enough! I’m actually well stocked up on good fitting bras now, I hit M&S when the sale was on and stocked up on the hanging baskets after Christmas - so yes I may have major knicker issues but the boobs are well covered!

Hee hee.. I'm not quite as bad but they do need hoisting back up a bit :rotfl:

Love vimto cordial but not keen on it fizzy ;)
  • Evening all,

very hard week, wonder bairn is not at all herself; got sent home from nursery on Tuesday and not been allowed back yet! So I had to have Thursday off to help bf with her then today i had as holiday as i had a meeting with somewhere I applied for a job (half interview, half interested in partnering with the wheelchair rugby team)

Astonished that I am reporting a 1lb loss for this week!

Still keen on with planning; think I have most evening meals planned now and lunches. Just need to actually write the appropriate shopping lists. Need to stop buying things for the freezer so we can run it down a bit before we do our next muscle foods order too!

Well done to mookie, Lois, chaplin, lush and Duke.

Oh mich, that was scary! Some people don’t have the sense they were born with!

TIE, I miss my bath too. Our shower broke and it rather than just replace it, we decided to prepare for the time when I wouldn't be able to get out without help (DH just used the shower anyway)and replace the bath with a walk in shower. I even tried lying down in the shower tray once (it's bath sized) to see if I could get a near-bath experience, but, of course, that was just plain daft! Congrats on your great aunt-hood, btw.

Aw, thanks, lantanna, I’m back to perkiness; don’t know what it was all about. What have they done to crème eggs? Actually I don’t like them – too sweet, but I’m nosey.

Penny, is that Tesco yogurt free – or close to it? I prefer thicker yogurts too.

Hello madlyn, you’ve come to the right place - you’ll get lots of help here.

Crabapple, I have a graph of my own now, I missed it when I quit the online membership. I googled “weight loss tracker”, and now I have a pretty coloured one that looks like the Alps, with all its ups and downs, lol. It doesn’t have a predictive thing, but I’m happy as long as I can see a downward trend.

I always have trouble making SW chips, b-e-g. McCains Rustic Chips aren’t too bad syn wise - and are ready when they’re supposed to be!

Best thing I ever did, clothes wise, was to get a proper bra fitting done; regret waiting until after I had the mastectomy. After I have a fitting (I’ve had to be redone after losing weight, even although it’s not a lot) I search online for the same make/model and I can usually find it a bit cheaper. Even although bras are the same size, they don’t necessarily fit – like any other clothes.

A decent day today – although it’s not over yet!

Breakfast: Onken 0% fat blueberry yogurt, banana
Lunch: hexb sandwich with egg & spring onion xl mayo (1 syn)
Dinner: teriyaki salmon, noodles, mixed salad (2 syns), hm mince pie

Total Syns: 3 + mince pie

Supper: hexa 3 mini babybel light and grapes

Hope you all have a great day, in every way tomorrow, folks.

Badly organised day for me but tried to keep it as 'good' as possible. WI for me tomorrow and I had a bad one the week before but didn't go to WI so no idea how it will go tomorrow. Either way it will be a 're-starting' point for me!

    Today:
B: porridge from work. Was foul so only had a small amount
L: Mr T falafel wrap, grapes and ff greek yoghurt
D: syn free chicken kebabs, sw chips and roasted veg
    Snacks: none.
    Syns: whatever the wrap was
HEB: either none or it went some way towards the wrap
    HEA: milk in tea
