Had a sneaky look at the scales this morning, and it's showing a couple pounds gain! Apart from attacking chocolate Monday evening, I've been completely on EESP, and no more than 7 syns any other day. Actual weigh in is Sunday, so I'm going to up the exercise today and tomorrow and hope I can somehow turn it into a STS.Back on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18
Total lost 1st 3.5lbs :j Week 40 -
It does, it gives you a predicted loss on your last four weeks. I'm sure you'll both turn it around soon.
Kicks on the bottom all round really I guess!0 -
Shala Can you add 10lbs to my target making it 14lbs in total?
Sorry to hear about people having rotten days with illness, drivers and children, Hope tomorrow is better.
I am the only person who doesn't like yoghurt? Would love to try the overnight oats.Would it work with skimmed milk?ilovetea xx
Don't you like yoghurt at all? I hate all the sickly, thin Muller ones but the Tesco Finest 0% fat one is a nice thick texture and is lovely in overnight oats which we have regularly. Our fave is raspberries on top but we also have mango, blueberries or banana.
Skimmed milk would work too or what about Almond Breeze unsweetened milk, that's gorgeous. Several supermarkets have it on offer just now for £1 a carton.0 -
Gosh, I have been so busy in RL this week I haven't had time to keep up here - sorry!
But I have been following the plan and I am hopeful for weigh in at the weekend. I've been doing quite a bit of exercise as well.
Today looks like this:
B: apple, satsuma.
L: HM minestrone soup, cheese (HEA) saladAsian noodle broth with chicken and sweetcorn
Trying to keep in budget.

I love my graph too, I think I read somewhere that it only goes by your last four weeks, so mine still has my Xmas weight gain on it, grrrr xxIt does, it gives you a predicted loss on your last four weeks. I'm sure you'll both turn it around soon.
Kicks on the bottom all round really I guess!
Yep, those Christmas gains are really spoiling things, even though it wasn't muchAt least if we get some losses in things will look a lot better - it was saying I could hit target round Easter time
I was just thinking about the books - I've got a kindle but just buy as I go because I get so little reading time. Unless you're able to read a lot an online subscription would probably work out very expensive!
If you go to the library you can get whatever books you want for nothing. Plus, taking into account all the library closures, if you walked there it would be a load of Body Magic:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
Slimming World ~ trying to get back on the wagon...0 -
A bit later than usual today; got up later than usual and have got behind with everything.
Feeling a bit better today but think I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep after the few really bad nights.
TIE and anyone else not feeling well - hope you start feeling better soon; this bug really seems to knock you for 6 for a few days.
Another EE day today:
B - porridge made with water, Mullerlight, melon chunks
L - HM veg soup with soup pasta; more melon chunks
D - Squid, chorizo & white beans; this is a new recipe for me as I usually just quickly fry the squid and have with salad and new potatoes but thought I'd try this one which I found online - it definitely sounds more filling than salad!
HEA - milk in teas throughout the day
HEB - porridge
Syns - chorizo 4; weekend wine? depending on how I feel this evening
Not sure whether I'll get on over the weekend but in case I don't hope that everyone has a good one.

R you doing an ESSP Day? Or this just a very light day for you? Looks like not a lot of food at all and double soup, you'll definitely be losing eating like that. But are you not hungry? No offence meant just wondering?0 -
Yes, the melon was expensive lantanna, even in Lidl's but I thought it was time I had some fruit. Sounds like you have a really, healthy weekend coming up.:)retiredlady wrote: »I'm trying another week of EESP. I think where I went wrong last week, aside from the fruit, was that I failed in the basic instruction to have half your plate with protein and have with speed foods.
My plates were more like for example a chicken breast and the rest vegetables. So the protein was only taking up about 1/4 to 1/3 of the plate.
I know protein increases your metabolism and keeps hunger at bay, so this week I am concentrating on ensuring I'm getting that half plate full of protein. And probably buy some smaller plates! It is surprisingly difficult to eat a half plate of protein!:o
I think one way of doing it would be to add P veg to your plate and much cheaper than upping the meat and fish. So a chicken breast, half a plate of veg and a big helping of peas. Lots of meals would lend themselves to pulses like butter beans or baked beans alongside the meat. And if you want to stick to EESP, remember to check that you're only having fruits on the 'new' list.Morning all.
Reporting in with a loss of 1 lb.
I'm telling myself all the things I'd tell anyone: a loss is good, imagine something that weighs a pound, keep going, etc etc, bit I'm only a pound less than I was 3 weeks ago and I'm feeling cheated, specially when I think of the things I've resisted in 3 weeks.
LL
Sorry to hear you're feeling down but three weeks ago was Boxing Day so probably not the best three weeks of the year to choose as a yardstick. I'm sure you'll turn it round soon.:)Today looks like this:
B: apple, satsuma.
L: HM minestrone soup, cheese (HEA) saladAsian noodle broth with chicken and sweetcorn
That really doesn't look like much food for a day gien unless it's a massive salad and the broth followed by a chicken meal rather than just a bowl of soup. I do hope you're not starving yourself. Your menu could be EESP if you had something other than sweetcorn (assuming canned not baby sweetcorn) and there's nothing free lurking in the minestrone. Hope you don't mind me commenting.
I've woken up with a dreadful sore throat this morning. Done very little all morning and now cross that I sucked on a throat sweet that was probably full of syns!! It's probably the bug from Christmas that's never properly gone away. So I'm cosseting myself and will have another day of freezer/cupboard food as I CBA to go to shops.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: throat sweet!!! Not hungry at the moment.savoury mince (with veg in and will add more mushrooms that need finishing up), carrots, new potatoes, cabbage, peas
Syns: scrape of spread, Strepsils and no doubt I'll feel like weekend wine by tonight (otherwise I'll know I'm really poorly;))0 -
Oh the joys of cross posting but just shows how many like minded souls on here! I thought gien's menu looked light lantanna and denise and I are both hoping to be well enough for wine!:A:rotfl:0

after having put over a stone on in the past year, i have decided to give slimming world a go.
A- because you dont have to go out and buy over priced food like other plans, you can eat normal home cooked food
B- some friends at work are doing the plan and say it is easy to follow and after just 2 weeks have lost weight.
However, i'm tight and dont want to pay a fee each week to get weighed.
so can any one give me or tell me where to find the basics of the plan please.SPC 0370
