It does look a little light, but then people post meals from our group on facebook and I'm shocked how much they eat. Two giant chicken breasts covered in cheese and sauce and hundreds of SW chips.
Today I stood on my own scales and I now weigh 13st 10lb which is the lowest I have ever weighed in my whole adult life. Still got a fair way to go I think, maybe another 10lb but I'll see how I look. I still have a bit of a belly on me.0 -
after having put over a stone on in the past year, i have decided to give slimming world a go.
A- because you dont have to go out and buy over priced food like other plans, you can eat normal home cooked food
B- some friends at work are doing the plan and say it is easy to follow and after just 2 weeks have lost weight.
However, i'm tight and dont want to pay a fee each week to get weighed.
so can any one give me or tell me where to find the basics of the plan please.
The fee is well worth it, and getting weighed by the group, keeps you on target far more than doing it on your own. You also meet nice people and get a good group session.
However your best option might be to go and sign up, get all the books and stuff and then don't go anymore.
You can sometimes get a deal in a magazine or something so keep an eye on the SW facebook page, that gives you free registration, so it only costs a fiver.
Otherwise ask your friends at work0 -
Lantanna - melons in Lidl today were £1.39 each - though they were smaller than the one we got last week for the same price. Really going to make effort to get stuff to cs in the morning - it has been brought downstairs and waiting in the hallway. Probably go out and forget to put it in car :rotfl:. I have also promised myself to sort a couple of bits for fleabay - even if I only manage photos it's a start. Well done on your gym visits.
durham_min - I say enjoy the birthday celebrations - he will only be 18 once.
TIE - congratulations on becoming a Great Auntie. Hope that mummy and baby are doing well. Love the name.
beanie - hope that you manage to shift that little blighter with maybe a friend or two
Lois - don't be too downhearted with your loss - a 1lb is good :T
Crabapple - I love studying my graph on SW online. It used to show steep drops with very few blips. Nowadays it is all little peaks and troughs still with a downward trend thankfully but I don't feel as though I am doing anything differently. It could be to do the with fact as Angelbob has said that it is only calculated over a 4 week period so with the tiny/negligible losses over Christmas maybe that is the reason. Love looking at what I might weigh in a couple of months time. :rotfl:
Having an EE day today - breakfast was a huge massive pear. Lunch - bowl of lo carrot and beetroot soup and I don't really think I can face anything else atm. Dinner tonight is cod and chips from the lastest mag (uses egg and flour over the fish to make a 'batter' and might have some peas or salad with it. Supper is going to be overnight oats (hex). Might have a hot choccie using hexa of milk. Syns will be some for the flour in fish 'batter' and will have to have chocolate/biscuit later at least.
Right that's it I have sat long enough on my b*m it is time to make a start on something - housework, fleabay stuff, stitching, meal planning for weekend :think::think:

Tweets,
Make sure that NAS Vimto is one that you add water to. It's not pop, it's cordial and believe me it's lovely Hot or cold x0 -

Fluff - Yes its some random choc mix now, not cadburys dairy milk! Its all over the papers etc, I’ve not had one obviously lol but the general consensus is not good!! I don’t even think I will waste the syns to try one at Easter as I would just be annoyed and disappointed! Lol
Blueeyedgirl - Might pick up a melon after the gym then when I go to lidl for a 29 p cucumber:cool: lol I’m having an options hot chocolate treat tonight after the gym.:rotfl: I know how to live!!!
Maman – Yes my second, healthy and well behaved weekend in a row! Thing is in January it doesn’t seem to bother me as everyone in the same boat skinto and still recovering from Christmas gluttony and I’m on a make myself feel good drive in all aspects of my life at the minute. (I'm the only one that will right now tbh) ! I really hope you are well enough for your weekend wine too – you too Denise : ) Theres a christmas bottle of red under my desk here but its not coming home with me until I am at target ! I’ve told it under no circumstances to jump into my handbag. Naughty little thing!
Jocksofjungle – I always think that about peoples meals as well, how can they eat all that. Especially mounds of SW Chips!
Madlyn – I’d def pay a fiver and go and get the pack or you could look on Ebay there is usually some floating about but bare in mind that the pack has just changed and it is probably the old one. I think there is a mini mins thread for people who don’t go to class. Woman’s Own type mags and tabloids usually have joining offers every so often.

wiz, I wondered if I bought just one can of the NAS pop I'd be able to see if I like the taste.
I've forced myself to shower/hair wash then I'll give myself a blow dry when it's dried off a little and take more paracetamol (syn free;)).
One plus of not shopping has been there's a bit more space in my freezer now. I want to make soup and as DH doesn't like it and I find it easier to make a big pot I needed the room to store. So a gammon joint will go on my list and lovely (SP?) lentil and veg soup will go on the plan.
I'd wait until you get to 13 stone jock (as a sort of interim target) and then see how you feel. Sometimes it's clothes size rather than the numbers that help you decide. What size would you like to be?0
