So much for niceness being extended to newcomers!
I was just pointing out what the SW plan states. Some people may have overlooked the recommendations re: GF as it is fairly hidden. If its working for you fine, but for others the GF option may affect weightloss
However i thought i was being helpful with regard to porridge oats v readybrek, because for most people it is the texture of oats that puts them off. Youve explained why you dont eat oats, nuff said
I'm so sorry if I've misunderstood. Most of us here have been doing SW for sometime and are aware of SW policy. We have had great support/help from this thread. It is v. difficult dealing with food intolerances and it has taken quite a while to find something that works without upsetting my health. I have been feeling pretty _pale_ from eating stuff I shouldn't over Christmas, I have weaned myself off the intolerant stuff but the withdrawal symptoms have been pretty bad and today was a particularly bad day. It just felt as though we were being criticised for not sticking to SW. I have tried losing weight sticking purely to SW policy and it hasn't worked because when I eat foods I'm intolerant to, as well as feel blurrgh, they also make me gain weight. I have had to adapt SW to meet my needs. I even count calories which I know is not recommended, but because of the ME I am fairly inactive so need much less calories than the SW plan is based on ie SW = 1500 I work on 1200 per day (minimum recommended for women) and this is working for me. I'm not recommending it for everyone, hence I don't talk about it much on here. As Maman said if I couldn't adapt this way then I might as well give up.Weight loss 0/2st

Before I update my food, a question about EESP if I may? I was talking with friend who said that to do true EESP, the HEBs should be chosen also out of S or P symbols. Which looking in the book leaves me the choice of 2 ryvitas, and a handful of cooked fruit.
Is that right..??!So, unsure if this is EESP (or should that be S'PEE? lol) or not due to the HEB's or not but her was what we actually had yesterday, and what I've ad so far today:
Yesterday:
B: 4 ryvita dark rye (HEB1) with apple and ham
L: Weetabix minis (HEB2) with milk (HEA)Chilli with roast carrots, baby sweetcorn and green beans (2 syns for thickening gravy powder)
Snacks: 2 biscuits (10 syns) and tea with rest of HEA milk
13 syns total
Today:
B: 4 ryvita dark rye (HEB1) with apple and ham
L: Chilli with roast carrots (1 syn for thickening gravy)Chilli with roast carrots (it was a whopper of a batch we made up, lol) (2 syns for thickening gravy)
Snacks: Weetabix minis (HEB2) with milk (HEA) - yet to be munched. Tea with rest of HEA milk
3 syns so far
There's no
denying that I am feeling hungry doing the EESP days at the moment. I went to bed hungry last night and didn't fancy fruit so just went to bed hungry.
I'm feeling hungry now too so will have the weetabix minis and milk
I'm surprised how much I've enjoyed the roasted carrots with other veg instead of rice. I'm not saying it'll 'work' with all carby meals but it worked well with the chilli
Off to have a munch. No work tomorrow which is lovely but it might be dangerous for the diet - I'll try and have another S'PEE day, and will arm myself with apples and satsumas for while I'm out
You really shouldn't be feeling hungry on any of the programmes shortie. Yesterday you really didn't have much food until your dinner in the evening. I understand you made a big pot of chilli but personally I'd have frozen a couple of portions and then had something else.
I was hungry yesterday evening (we'd eaten early in the pub) so I made myself a slice of ham, 2 fried eggs and pickled onions. Not brilliantly balanced but it would have been OK on a SP day. I keep plenty of pickles in so I can always snack on beetroot or onions or cornichons. I'm not a huge fruit fan so I prefer the pickles and cold meats. Or make up a big veg frittata/crustless quiche and have that in the fridge for snacking on. Some people hard boil eggs and keep them at the ready.
EESP is so new, we're still thinking of suitable menus and snacks.:)
I'm out for lunch tomorrow so that'll be an off plan meal. One plus is that I don't generally feel hungry after that so although I may eat the wrong food I don't eat that much in a day. It'll be a SW breakfast.;)0 -
Oops! Just writing down what I actually ate and realised I’ve boobed!
I had all my hexa in mac’n’ cheese and splash of milk at breakfast.
I had hexb porridge (there lies my error – I forgot to count it as hexb or syns, grrrrrr!)
Then I had half hexb toast and claimed another half hexb for supper (an Alpen Light bar).
So that makes an extra 6 syns = 18½. I’m gutted!
Well done, b-e-g.
Shala, please don’t give up the sillies – we can do without mature, i’m sure. I love a silly giggle, oo-er.
I am in the process of writing to our village supermarket because I don't think they should allow people in wearing pyjamas and dressing gowns.
I love my PJs, but I’m with you there, Penny!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Morning all
Exciting thread! Lots of losses and positive vibes. I had a really hungry day yesterday and am ravenous again following my early morning walk with the dog so am going to have poached eggs for breakfast before work. The Schwartz sausage and bean casserole was lovely last night. I had it with cabbage, broccoli, peas and oven roasted sweet potatoes and butternut squash. Had some chocolate in the evening but am not worried about it - I deliberately keep my Syns low during the week to allow for such minor lapses.
Menu for today:
B - Poached eggs, grilled bacon and beans
L - Sausage and bean casserole with veg
D - Going to try the lamb donor 'fakeaway' with wholemeal pitta and salad.
I'll have a Mug Shot if I get hungry at work. Might have a FF Muller with a banana.
Have a great day everyone!0 -

Pyjama wearing in the supermarket? And at school? seriously?
I thought you only did that on charity days.. I've never seen it round here..
Knackered again today, can't seem to get off to sleep at all latelyI find it much harder to avoid high synned food on days like this.. Must plough on though!
edited to add menu - EE
B - melon, grapes
L - 4 ryvita (heb) cheese triangles (0.5hea) pickles
T - chicken chow mein, stir fry veg
S - milk in tea (0.5hea) crisps (4) nectarine, satsumas
Hope everyone has a good day xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Weigh in for me tonight, I will hopefully post a small loss, just not been able to get my groove back and eating too many syns.
I am fine until the evening and then just can't resist stuff.0 -
I don't do PJs during the day, although quite happy to put them on in the evening after my shower. It's a definite no no to wear them outside - I think that's really bad!
Having a Green day today:
B - Mini shredded wheat (HEB), milk (HEA1), satsuma
L - HM veg soup, 1 slice bread (0.5 HEB2), melon
D - Bacon (0.5 HEB), egg, baked beans & SW chips
Have got a veggie SW quiche in the fridge to snack on as well.
Need to go shopping as have run out of melon and seem to be eating quite a bit of it - have eaten 2 since the weekend!
Haven't decided on syns yet but only had a couple yesterday as just didn't need them, but that's OK as went over at the weekend as usual!
