  • I have been trying to break bad weekend habits this week. I am really good during the week and at weekends I tend to go mad with all the wrong foods. I would have lost much more if I had tried doing this ages ago I reckon. I supposed I will see on Wednesday how much it has paid off. Fingers crossed for a good number!

Hello! Just thought I would pop in and share something else I have learnt recently (you may already know!!), apparently the reason people weigh more after takeaways is because they are often full of salt which means people will then retain water making them seem heavier!

Jodles funny you should write that, I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and the results were NOT GOOD, I'm certain the salt thing is why as one and a half bad days in itself can't possibly cause me to gain nearly 4lbs! Can it?! The plan today is to guzzle as much water as humanly possible to try to get myself back in balance - I know the logic seems a bit backwards but I think I'm right in saying that is the best way forward? If I can STS tomorrow it will be a miracle. Gah!

STS for me this week, but with a couple of birthday celebrations last weekend and a lost fast day as a result, I'm quite pleased.

I've also has a stinker of a cold that isn't shifting, so there's also been an element of comfort eating on non-fast days, so I know that needs reigning in again.

So still at 12st 9lb / 177lb. Hope everyone else does well this week x

Weighing in at 210lb today which is a 3lb loss. Seems the last couple of weeks plateau has been overcome. Especially as on Mother's Day I had

    Croissants and pancakes for breakfast
    Roast dinner
    Sticky toffee pudding
    Cake made by other half

Have been angelic mon and tue to compensate

Remembered to weigh in this morning! I have STS exactly at 163.8 :o

  • Good morning, I would like to join please. I have lost 49 lb in the last 2 years with swimming, but since Christmas I just can't get back on track. I weighed in last night and I have put over 10 lb on since the festivities. I refuse to go back into the next stone bracket so I am back on the wagon.

If I can lose 2 stone by the end of this year I will be a very happy (and slim) bunny!!!!!

  • I have lost another 2.2lbs whoohoo!! Current weight is 161lbs (11st 4.6lbs). Not going to let myself get non-complacent. I have a meal out and drinks this evening with the girls and a lunch on Sunday with a friend, I am going to be extra good in between but also not go mad because I have been good (hope this makes sense?)

My family motto has always been - Think thin!! If only it was that easy.

I am with you on that first_trouble. All week at work I am as good as gold but on weekends when I get together with friends and have activities in church, I go off track. I haven't been so good this week and I haven't tracked anything I put inside my mouth so it wouldn't be a surprise if the scales reveals a gain tomorrow at WW. Although when I came in to work this afternoon a colleague commented that I look thin. Maybe she just needs to go to specsavers.

I heard that from somebody/somewhere too. Salty food makes you retain water. But crisps are so tempting!!!
