Hi all,
Ok deep breath I weigh 173lbs, really annoyed with myself for this as last year I made myself promise I was going to lose weight and I managed 3stone! Then in the new year I decided to concentrate on our finances and so since Christmas i've put on 1stone 5lbs by not paying attention to what I put in my mouth.
Oh well time to multitask. Aiming for 1lb a week loss

Well done everyone losing, STS and recommitting to weight loss this week! Will post mine from next week, as only been back to it properly for two days.
Shrimpy, cake looks fab! Shouldn't have clicked the link on a fast day though....
Clearmydebts, I've done 5:2 before and didn't lose much, probably because my feast days were cancelling out anything I'd lost when fasting. I dithered with 4:3 as a kickstart but when looking at calendar realised that I'd be hard pushed to get three days in next week if I excluded weekends, nights out, etc. Did a bit more research online and have now opted for alternate day fasting - I'm a bit of an "all or nothing" personality so figure fasting every other day will play to this, and if it brings about some initial weight loss that should keep me motivated! Will let you know how I get on....#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

Reporting a weight of 149.5 lbs for #18. Haven't posted my weight for a while as it went up and I was too chicken to say so! However I'm still 1lb up on my last weight, but it is now heading in the right direction!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Interested on others opinions on this
I was doing a weight loss competition at the gym which was a 6 week challenge. I lost 8% of my body weight which was 17lb which I was very pleased with. Happened to ask what the winner lost and was told he lost 23% which was nearly 6 stone.... In 6 weeks
What did he do? Chop off a limb?
all kudos for him and clearly deserved to win but that sounds incredibly unhealthy to me to lose that kind of weight in that short amount of timeI am a Mortgage Adviser
