  • Feeling kind of meh to report a STS for this week.

I felt sure that I had lost a pound or two. Really need to increase the exercise because there is not much more I can cut out diet wise to make any changes.

2lbs gain this week although I haven't watched what I've ate at all but have done lots of exercise. Just shows how important diet is compared to exercise!

Ooops, it's a 1lb gain this week taking me to 167.6. :( It's my TOTM though so bloat+need to eat everything in sight= tubster! :o

Good luck to everyone else weighing in!

My word this thread is slowing DOWN! (In terms of posts, not weight loss!) Starting to wonder if we started this challenge at the wrong time of year. Should have waited until Spring when it's warmer and we can eat salads and actually want to go outside! :p

I was planning on weighing in this morning after all. I feel a lot better about everything, but decided to hold off another week. Making changes to my diet/activity over what feels good instead of what will bring the lb off has made me happier, I don't want to find out it's not effecting the scales in the same way :o:o

But on a small victory the dress I'm wearing today was a little tight at the top of my arms the last time a wore it, however today it's really loose and I can RAISE MY ARMS :T (exactly like this in victory)
  • I think when peoples weight loss starts slowing down they get demotivated.

I am going to say why this journey is important to me

My name is Sarah and I am committed to losing weight. Since this thread started I have lost 21lb and overall since starting my weight loss challenge on nov 14th I have lost 31lb of my 84lb target.

I am being sponsored by friends and family with the proceeds going to children in need (so far about £500 if I hit my 6 stone goal)

Overall the main reason for doing this is I want to have a second baby and having gone through it at nearly 16 stone and ending up quite ill I am desperate not to do it again as an obese person

I am using the wed weigh in as a kick up the butt without having to pay £5 a week to stand on a pair of scales

Wow, you're doing brilliantly Haras! I've just figured out your user name too! Funnily I know someone with the same name but she's not as dedicated to her weight loss as you so you mustn't be the same girl! :)

Cinny, this time of year is definitely not inspiring me to eat lightly and get out more! I just want to sit on the sofa eating comfort food! :o Well done on your dress feeling looser though! :T

Thanks Sarah, this is the kick up the bum and focus that I need.

    I want to lose weight because;
    - I want to feel more confident
    - I want my clothes to fit me
    - I want to feel healthy when I exercise, I find it much easier to run when I'm below 10st
    - I want to look good when I'm a bridesmaid in July (the other bridesmaids are size 6s - but I definitely don't want to be that small :rotfl: )
