Reading back now, very sorry for the absence. There will be a chart, but NIM is doing some very urgent qualification work the last few days - he has to have it by the time he starts his new job on Monday, and it has taken him 12+ hours a day for the last 4 days, and I've not had a minute to myself as a result as I'm on 24/7 kid duty.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, I had a lovely day. At weigh in on Wednesday I had a 1lb gain, not ideal but if you can't relax after a month of being good to celebrate a birthday with a 0 on the end when can you?!

Good news is I got the yoga teacher job! I think I will start in April, but I'm hopefully going on training the end of February to get fully qualified. How many hours I'm going to be able to do is entirely down to hubby though, if he can get any days as definite days off for example as I will have to work the same time every week.

Hubby gave me a holiday fund as a 30th birthday pressie, so used a little of it to book a week in center parcs at the start of March, we've had a hard few months as a family and we could use the time together, and as we can go midweek it's less than £50 a night. So as of Sunday I'm back on the diet bandwagon to get as many pounds off before I have to wear a swimsuit.

    Awesome work Hopelessly Hopeful!!

Afraid I'll be letting the group down next month as I've decided to focus on being more active with healthy choices over weight loss. So I'm swearing off scales through February, but will be weighing myself on March 1st (So, January 31st - March 1st) I can just feel myself getting focused on the scales and noticeably having it control my moods (lighter = happiness, heavier = grumpy as balls)

Feel like a major let down but with having suffered from ED in the past I need to be mindful of my triggers. I'll be keeping a good diet with exercise etc so will continue posting for motivation but the weekly weigh ins are a no-go for a while.

    Hope that's okay :o

You're not letting the group down in the slightest, you have to follow your own journey to be healthy - anyone who is losing weight to be skinny needs to be very careful about their own motives, the goal of losing weight needs to always be to be healthy, happy, and comfortable. Please post with your humour and let us know how your healthy lifestyle is going, but we'll just take you off the chart for the time being.

    Morning everyone,

Not been around for a bit, had a really stressful couple of weeks and of course have reached for the food to 'help' the situation. By some miracle I did manage to STS when I weighed in though.
So time to get back on the exercise and stop buying chocolate again!!

All ok now thank you, must learn not to turn to food when the going gets tough though!

Back on track today. Porridge for breakfast, homemade potato and leek soup for lunch and a stir fry for dinner. Going to try and get 30 minutes on the wii fit later once the kids are in bed.

Going to have a little look on some other boards now see if there are anymore cheap healthy meal ideas.

Huge congrats on the job Dinah! Glad you had a good birthday.

I've done a food shop today, revised next week's meal plan a bit and planning to up the fruit and veg. I had got into the habit of snacking on cereal bars and weight watchers crisps etc and although it wasn't excessive I wonder if that has what has stalled me, so going back to basics next week. I really want at least a pound this week!

Went for a nice long walk earlier and have convinced my friends to meet for a walk and cup of tea tomorrow instead of breakfast so I don't have to test my willpower against a fry up  I think the cold weather is making it harder too - my insulation doesn't want to leave me!

  • Oh dear. Feeling a bit of food guilt today

Is my bday today so my family came round on fri and we went out for lunch, my friends came round last night and we had a pamper party and I cooked Indian food and today we are out with hubby's family and will end up having lunch somewhere and a bday cake I am sure.

Am going to fast mon and tue and try to stay the same this week. Too scared to get on the scales and see the damage

Happy Belated Birthday, Haras :) Don't feel guilty about having a few treats on your birthday! A few days with extra calories won't harm you :) When I lost weight before, I used to have one weekend a month where I bumped my calories into the 2,000 (after exercise if I wasn't taking the weekend off from working out) to give my body a boost to aid weight loss :)

And happy belated birthday to you too, Dinah! Sorry I didn't say so in my last post, I thought I did :o And massive congrats on the job! Sounds perfect for you :)

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I've been poorly since Wednesday evening and totally off my food. Couldn't keep anything down on Wednesday/Thursday and just haven't got my appetite back since, had two trips to ikea over the weekend and not one single 60p hotdog passed these lips :( Been forcing myself to eat which is totally weird and not cool at all. But at least with eating to fuel myself over what I fancy I've been making good choices :rotfl:
