Dinah... you need to start spiking NIMs coffee with cream... or lard
Seriously though well done NIM, that is a fantastic loss in two weeks  (low calorie non-alcoholic beer naturally)
And congrats to everyone else too - Flower, Cinny, Kavics your overall %s are awesome!I used to be free cake = :money:, but now free cake =. I doubt it will last long though!
Free cake in our office today, am avoiding the kitchen!Overlook is the hotel in The Shining. You know the elevator door scene?

Congrats Ruby! Exciting times!
Igamogam - hope you feel better soon (and anyone else feeling under the weather).
I love how busy this thread is! Catching up with my red pepper soup which turned out rather delish, recipe here if anyone is interested. i didn't bother with the potato skins and chucked in some lentils which have made it pretty filling, but dulled the taste a bit as I think I put too many in. Still scrummy though! Although I can't say peeling peppers is something I'm in a hurry to do again!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

Not sure what we're up to this weekend. DH is playng rugby so I'm on baby duty all afternoon tomorrow. Might meet up with some friends if they're free... for coffee only, no cake!Sunday will probably be a little walk out somewhere, weather permitting! It's the pre-payday weekend so we can't eat out and drink loads even if we wanted to!

Hello from a fellow Gem!
How about a spa day? They're about £30 on some of the deal sites and you could maybe get a treatment included?
Declaring my interest - I do work in a spa hotel but this isn't a plug as ours isn't on the deal site, not that I've seen anyways
That's a great idea. I was going to do a spa weekend with a couple of friends for my 40th birthday a couple of years ago but I ended up having to cancel it because I ended up having surgery on my knee 4 days before the big day.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Overlook is the hotel in The Shining. You know the elevator door scene?
Erm...nope! I can't watch scary things, there are programs on National Geographic that have me hiding behind a pillow so anything that could be described as horror, or even thriller would have me sat up all night clutching the kitchen knives and rocking.
Made this as a weekend 'cake' today, I'd been missing baking. I used the lowest recommended amount of chocolate chips, and milk instead of the oil, but I still found the calories came out over double of what the recipe states when I put it all into myfitnesspal, don't know what's going on there. Still for 131 calories a piece it's nice if a bit more bready than cakey. Seems really chocolatey too.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

... women whose bodies hold onto fat like a favourite handbag!
:rotfl:
I did see a Groupon yesterday for a 5k colour run that I thought you might be interested in? But then, it's 'only' 5k, not really worth it, eh?!
Ooh no, I've been wanting to do one of those but they're normally dead expensive for a 5k - do you have more details?Overlook is the hotel in The Shining. You know the elevator door scene?
OH MY GOD.Cinny - almond and lentil curry.......recipe please
Seconded!
Had a horrible day at work today (another one) - including one of the younger kids calling me a cow right to my face! Anyway the upshot is that I've had a Chinese for tea (albeit only half because it wasn't very nice), plus a Wispa and a bag of Skips and about 1/3 of a big bar of that Marvellous Creations Banana choccy barNeed to give my head a shake because I really don't want this job to make me fat(ter). I think I need to go to bed before I eat any more!!

was very proud of myself today
I cut up some jelly babies for my son (he is 2) gave him about 4 jelly babies in little pieces and I didn't so much as nibble a jelly head.
I love jelly babiesI am a Mortgage Adviser

Could I ask for advice please, we've got a wii fit that I used a lot previously (before baba who's 20 months) do people think it can actually be substituted in part for 'proper' exercise? And because I have a 20month old and hubby works away I can't get to the gym, or to classes, so can you suggest any ways I can kick start my exercise routine at home as that is where I definitely lacking?
Thanks

Anything that raises your heart rate is 'proper' exercise. I'm a member of a diet & fitness website, and the wii fit is most definitely classed as exercise on there.Cheryl0

As long as it's something gets your heart going
I found wii fit didn't do enough of a job as my fitness level increased, great starting point, but if you have chance have a look up zumba or just dance for the wii, they can be got quite cheap now they really get you sweating ... do look a complete idiot while doing them but they are fun!
On that note I'm going to have a tidy up in my room, I used to do 10 songs on just dance a night, I haven't done that in soo long! I'm a bit competative so things like that are perfect for me as I can try and beat my score from previous days
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
