  • Hola, well done everyone!! Can't believe a large wedding cake weighs the same as a Labrador!

So the total weight lost column, is that a percentage of our starting weight?

Can't remember who said about sneaking on the scales the day after weigh in but I was 1lb lighter this morning too!! Starting to carb-load for my half marathon on Sunday now so am about 100 cals over target today. Don't think I'll get a loss next week as water retention is a factor after a long run like that, just trying to stay on track in the meantime so any damage IS just water!

Aye but the week after next you might have a mega loss and smash NIM into the dust :D

Yep a percentage of our start weight.

Nicedream- I have to run the cakey biscuity gauntlet most days too! The problem with working in a big office is that there are often birthdays/weddings/leavers to be celebrated!

Mine too... I think the problem is that it's extended to 'because it's a Tuesday...'!

I totally have this! Luckily I have just moved rooms and am now on the second floor with two blokes who never bring yummies in (or make the tea for that matter) so I am removed from temptation!

That's good, although sorry for your loss of tea makers! I used to be free cake = :money:, but now free cake =. I doubt it will last long though!

I didn't have a goal... but now I do. Doughnut Burger.

I'm a bit late to the party but I would love to join this challenge! I weighed myself on the 2nd and was 11st 4lbs (158lbs), the heaviest I've ever been (and a stone heavier than I thought I was!). Ideally my goal weight would be around the 119lbs mark which would be amazing, that'll be a loss of 39lbs!

I will be weighing myself tomorrow for my own record and will weigh in here next Wednesday with a proper total.

I'm only 5"2 and have been really suffering in myself, having recently gained a whole stone in just 3 months my body is REAL angry at me, I can no longer climb up on the kitchen worktops to reach the top of the cupboards because my arms aren't strong enough to lift myself. I've also noticed my skin isn't in as good condition as it usually is.. hoping by eating better and working out will help all the issues I've found I'm having!

Currently trying out 5:2 and will be using a combination of my treadmill + Wii fit daily to get some exercise in! Looking forward to some results!

The other day I was thinking about some milestone rewards too.
Thought that I would make them non- food rewards.
    7lbs - manicure
    14lbs - a pedicure or facial
    21lbs - massage
28lbs- shopping trip with the money that I am saving.
35lbs- needs to be something special ??? Will think about it and get back.

I'd love to offer myself rewards, but my bank balance screams a great big 'No chance!'

So unless I can come up with freebies, the reward for me is simply being healthier - and that'll do for me :)

Mind, I've always said that once I hit target and stay there for 12 months (done the former a couple of times, never come close to the second) I'm going to have a major wardrobe sort out and try and have a lot less stuff which is good quality and mix and match to make the most of the pieces in it. So once I hit target (which may well not be this year) I should probably try and find some way of saving to fund that ;)

    Hello from a fellow Gem!

How about a spa day? They're about £30 on some of the deal sites and you could maybe get a treatment included?

Declaring my interest - I do work in a spa hotel but this isn't a plug as ours isn't on the deal site, not that I've seen anyways ;)

Currently trying to resist the temptation of daily weighing!

I'm still soooo achy and sore from the Body HIIT class on Wednesday  and I've got the gym again tonight  Just going to do a cardio session. No weights for me, don't think any part of my body will be able to take it!

Well done NIM for 2nd win in a row! You are definitely an inspiration to me. I'm quite impressed with myself, yesterday one of our nurses gave me a double chocolate muffin because she knows I haven't been feeling well this week...and I brought it home and still haven't eaten it! This is some sort of miracle I can assure you :D MFP told me I didn't have enough calories to spare, so I've stuffed it in the bread bin! Maybe I can earn the calories for a bite of it tonight in the gym :D

Well done everyone, you are all doing fabulous!

    Well done NIM! :T

IMO, as long as NIM stays on track he probably will win every week. We've done the biggest loser at work for 3 years now and it's always the men winning because they have more to lose and it drops off men quicker than bloaty, hormonal women whose bodies hold onto fat like a favourite handbag! :p The women in the work competition usually lose interest because there's no hope of winning :o

I watched the first 2 epidodes of that diet programme on iplayer last night, it was pretty interesting. I did question the sense behind weighing everyone on the grass outside, even the scales are on a tile, it's still not going to be very accurate, is it?! And to think we were discussing lining up scales with the grout lines to get the perfect reading! :p

Well done for resisting the muffin eyebright! :)

    Welcome to the newbies!

Good luck for your half marathon Tete! I'm well impressed with your challenge, will be donating as soon as I get paid next week! :) I did see a Groupon yesterday for a 5k colour run that I thought you might be interested in? But then, it's 'only' 5k, not really worth it, eh?! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

wow NIM you are putting the rest of us to shame! eat some cake to make us feel better! :rotfl: Seriously, though, well done :)

Unfortunately I have resorted to daily weighing, getting annoyed every morning that I have not dropped a pound! I ended up in bed last night at 8:30pm with my shoulder pain and a massive headache, but at least I was 22 calories under goal. This pain means that the 30D challenges are being ignored as I just get terrible pain when I lift myself up, and when I breathe!!

Taken out my corn thins and replaced them with an apple so today I have two apples, three bananas and 100g chopped carrots to tide me over until 6:30pm I don't really eat lunch, I opt to graze on stuff during the day and have a bigger evening meal:
