I had a fitbit last year, it kept falling off it I went out running, I ended up doing the route twice scouring the ground for the daft thing! It was good when it stayed on though.
I do snack at night a lot, so I'm another one in the 'if I don't have it in the house I can't eat it' club.

On the weekly weigh in charts it'll be posted in alphabetical order, it just helps me find people in the chart and update quicker as it's taken ages just to put first weights in.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Is it too late to join? This is only my first post but I've been browsing the forum for the last few days and looking to join a few of the money challenges and would like to join this one too. Had a baby 3 months ago and put on about 4 stone as I had a condition which meant I was unable to exercise for the duration of my pregnancy. I've lost nearly 2 stone already but because I was already over my ideal weight when I got pregnant I still have about 4 stone to lose
If it's not too late to join my starting weight is 13 stone 4lbs (186lbs). I'd be happy to hit anywhere between 9 and 10 stone this year but I'll be aiming for 9 stone 7lbs (133lbs).#114 DFBXmas2015: £7941/£53,416

I've got some Options in to see if they will do the trick. Also resorted to munching on picked onions last night
Hope you feel better soon Dinah.
I'm currently debating the merits of just chucking out the chocolate and fresh cream muffin in the fridge and the 1/4 tube of nacho cheese pringles in the cupboard to stop me from eating them. My dislike of wasting food is putting up a fight! I do love cheese too! My plan is that instead of a pudding or sweet treat in the evening I will have a small square of cheese instead. I will have to ensure I have no treats in the house I want to eat. It's going to be the only way I can see. OH will just have to lump it. He needs to lose more weight than I do anyway :PI had snacking problems for years - and not just in the evenings, so it was more of an all day grazing problem at times
I found the best solution was to not have anything in the house - but that's easy for me as I live almost totally alone (DS1 lives here, but the only food I provide for him - at his request - is the daily cooked meal).
For the last couple of years my digestive system has reacted fairly badly to a sugar or saturated fat overload - to the point I daredn't wander far from the little room for 24 hoursFor the last 12 months I've not really had many urges to eat these things either. I don't know whether it's because I've stopped eating which means it doesn't have to cope with processing them as often, due to hormome changes (according to my GP I'm now at 'that age'), or my body rejecting fats and sugars in an attempt to keep itself as healthy as possible (I have high cholesterol and am at high risk of T2 diabetes). Whatever the reason, it does mean I now think twice before overloading on either - and that has to be a good thing :T
DS2 was home from 27th to 31st December, and on the evening of 28th I heard him at the kitchen cupboards so wandered through to see if I could help. He was looking for 'munchies', and was disgusted when I told him I don't have/don't buy - but settled for toast (a half and half bread) and honey as a reasonable alternative
Yep, treat free cupboards is going to be the only way I can see to succeed! Is it too late to join? Welcome to the forum and to the challenge!0 -
Forgot to say thanks Dinah for those links!
This is exactly what I need to remind myself of the challenge and help to keep me motivated. Going to make the jars with the glass pebbles to represent the weight I've lost/still need to lose, and a reward chart when I achieve each milestone. That might help with curbing my spending too, if I have to wait until I've lost X amount of weight before I can have something!0 -
Afternoon all
I am having massive sugar withdrawals today. I have nothing in the house that I can eat, that has any sugar in, and just contemplated eating a teaspoon of sugar. The other alternative is to make something like pancakes or cakes or biscuits, but then I'll have lots of them and probably eat them all.
I am having a SFD so refusing to go to the shops and get anything.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

No fruit juice in the house? That has sugar.
Cordial may or may not, depending on the type you buy (if any).Cheryl0 -

Have you thought of subbing rice and past with couscous or quinoa? Much lower and calories and I think quinoa is one of the best foods you can eat - full of vitamins and protein. I'm aiming to make a lot of roasted veg couscous and quinoa salads for my lunches. I normally love soups but we only get 30 mins for lunch in my school and I just don't have the time for thatAnd for those who like a bit of a treat and struggle to make that not mean wine/chocolate/takeaway. Idea 3
I've already done an excel version of that chartDeffo going to think of some non-food treats for milestone losses, every 7lbs I think. Any ideas? I need some new jeans but I don't want to get any while I'm still this size! I'm fancying a massage for one of them.
Did my 5k parkrun this morning and felt carp - had to stop and walk twice and couldn't understand what was wrong. Then I was chatting to someone afterwards and mentioned having donated blood yesterday and the penny dropped! A relief to know what the problem was, hope I'm OK for my gym induction tomorrow!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Afternoon everyone!!
Thanks so much for the teas, TeteHoping I like them in a not liking them way because I know for a fact I'll spend £30 on tea if I do
OH and I have been looking at HelloFresh today. With the idea of juices during the day, then having something different AND (most importantly) portion controlled for tea. The cost of the box is roughly what we spend food shopping each week, although we will have to spend a little extra (but not too much, once Aldi opens!) on things for our juices. I don't think it works out any more costly than shopping ourselves, plus we take away the hassle of trying to find new and interesting meals every week.
Get the pain of evening snacking! Along with still having a lot of Christmas things in the houseWe're just trying to work it in, like some chicken pate yesterday and some blue cheese from the cheese board to go with tea! Also decided I can have two chocolates a night - of the rose or quality variety. Mostly because I know for a fact as soon as I tell myself I'm not having something it's all I can think about
Hope everyone's well and remember..0 -

One word of warning..... read the recipe cards several times before you start and work out when you need to start each step alongside the others.
I had one recently which said to cook the potatoes (very small almost roast chunks) in the oven for 20 minutes, then to cook the chicken in the oven at a higher temperature for 10-15 minutes then rest it - so the potatoes would have been stone cold. Yuck! I actually find the spuds never cook that way in the time they say, so put them in for 25 minutes at the higher temp with the chicken joining them for the last 15.Cheryl0 -
Hellooo, I think my post with my weight must've been posted too early and slipped through the net.
