Thanks Shrimpy. aiming for 2lb this week but if I get 3lb I'll be very happy. 5.35am already stood on the train platform to get to Birmingham by 10.30 to do another days training. One week until my first kids yoga class. Started running this week too with my local running groups beginners session, going once a week to that and once to their buggy run class too so hopefully that'll help on the fitness front. Will be awed if I really can run 5k in another 9 weeks.

    Hello all,

Do you have room for a not so small one? Looking to lose 1 1/2stone before my holiday in September. Your are all doing so well and are so motivated.

Hi Doris and welcome :) If you let me know your starting weight I can add you to the chart? The winner each week is whoever loses the highest percentage of their starting weight. If you don't want to share your weight that's fine too, you're still welcome to join us! I started with a stone and half to lose too and have nearly lost a stone now thanks to this thread. Welcome again and good luck!

Dinah I did Couch to 5k and it really does work! I was pretty unfit when I started and can do 5k now (actually finding the motivation to go and do it at the moment is another story though!) Hope you're training went well today.

Thank you Shrimpy, what do you all weigh on? I will use that day as my start.

Welcome Doris - Wednesday is Weigh Day!

I second the C25K Dinah, you start off running 30 secs at a time but it builds up fast and you really see rapid improvement, good luck with it.

I am really, really struggling on the motivation front :( I really hate what I see in the mirror but just can't muster the time or energy to exercise or count calories or plan food properly (or even look after myself in any way - pluck my eyebrows, paint my nails, etc.) All I really want to do is sleep (and eat!) :(

Sorry to hear you're in a bit of a rut, Tete :( Do you have any evening during the week where you could get an early night and not have to set an alarm the next day? Self care is super important and it sounds like you need the biggest you day of all time. If it helps at all, I always think you look gorgeous, you're such a genuinely lovely person and hella intelligent to boot. Please don't beat yourself up too badly!

Trying to hit the ground running this weekend. Did some in-the-shop meal planning when I was getting food this weekend and it looks pretty good? OH pretty much had a salad meltdown on Friday night so I've made an extra effort to have something new every night this week with no repeats. Don't know about anyone else but I could quite easily eat the same meals every day, kind of forget OH isn't built that way :o:o

Set some new goals with OH too, we've also made some combined weight-loss targets complete with treats - and made sure none of the treats were food-based :p Set ourselves up for 90 days to see how much we can shift between us! Kind of hoping I'll be able to reach my goal weight but we'll see..!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend in the sun :) Had lots of pretty blue-belled-walks with Ryder so I was content!

Hi guys. Please can I join?? I've just had a bit of a wake up call regarding my weight and I almost want to cry. I've tried to make a bit of a joke out of it but in reality I am gutted!

Do I need to declare my weight here?

Hope you're okay, Star! You can put your weight here if you like, but I remember a few others feeling uncomfortable with doing that so I think you can just pm it to Shrimpy for the spread sheet? :)

Yes I'm okay. Thank you Cinny. It's my 10th wedding anniversary this year so I decided I would upcycle my wedding dress so I could wear it for a night out to celebrate with DH. Tried it on today and I can't zip it up! by quite a bit too :o I know it's really vain but I haven't had it made that obvious to me how much weight I've actually put on before. You know how it just creeps up on you? Well today I got to see just how much! :(

Ooops - last checked in on 24th Feb

I've been making a real effort to make myself have breakfast, as a result of which I've been forgetting to get on the scales before I eat :o

    But I remembered today :)

Now at 166.8lb, which means a 6.2lb loss in the last 9 weeks - comfortably ahead of the 0.5lb/week I aim for when counting calories (and I've not even been doing that or doing much exercise)

I wobbled up and down the first few weeks of the year, so am only 7.6lb down over the 17 weeks since 1st Jan. That isn't quite the 0.5lb/week, but isn't tooo far off and is still redeemable if I keep my eye on the ball from now :)

Just under 18 weeks until OH's nephew's wedding - should manage another half stone, but it'd be nice to see a stone gone..... better knuckle down to it I guess ;)
