  • Oops posted half a post!!

Was meant to say thats lovely niptuck, very thoughtful of her.

Ive contacted the mw about the matb1 and shes getting it ready for me. Apparently u can get it anytime after 20 week scan (here anyway)
Im 23 weeks this week and still have no idea of my finishing date for maternity leave, but think i need to arrange it by 25 weeks?? Ive rung head office this morning to get things moving.

Feeling quite short of breath today, which is a bit of a pain, feel like ive run a marathon after walking!
Still here..... but working on that!

I survived my inset day, although chose only to attend 60% of it as I am part time. boss did not seem impressed, but to be fair, I would only have had 40% of a timetabled day today normally, so did enough.

I also need to get hokd of this MatB1 form. i dont have a MW appointment until 28 weeks and wilk need to start maternity leave at 32 weeks, so obviously the school want the matB1 corm ASAP!

I will ask at my 20 week scan Aabiut it, but will be nearly 21 weeks then.

Was planning to take DS out for a nice lunch today before he starts school, but he appears to have stuffed his face with junk food at the inlaws. Grrrr.

Anyone else have horrible allergies at the moment? My eyes itch, nose blocked, sneezing like a lunatic. Not sure I can take anything though :(
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Hope its ok to join you all over here? I had my dating scan today and they 'think' I am around 13 weeks. couldn't get an accurate measurement as this little Squishy was just not playing ball. This fits in with my original dates so I think I am due on 7th March.

because they couldn't do any measurements I have to go back for another scan on 14th September, so they can measure the back of the neck etc... I thought that for the Down's test/measurement it had to be done between 11-14 weeks and I will be at least 14+6 by then.

Pinkshoes - I was really bad with my eyes and nose right at the beginning of this pregnancy and I found a nasal spray in T£sco that was drug free and said on the packaging suitable if pregnant, I will try and remember the name and let you know. the pharmacist and dr I spoke to both said that they cant recommend anything to take as there is not enough research done on the effects and nobody is going to use pregnant women as lab rats in order to get them through the testing required for licencing.

    found it:

Prevalin Allergy is a breakthrough barrier treatment for fast hay relief from hay fever and other allergies. Acting in just 3 minutes it is clinically proven to act 5x faster than hay fever tablets. Endorsed by Allergy UK and voted Allergy Pharmacy Product of the Year for three consecutive years, this non-drowsy nasal spray has a unique thixotropic gel formulation that targets hay fever symptoms, both treating and preventing symptoms such as sneezing, a runny and blocked nose and itchy, watery eyes. • Hi HighlandLass!
I've got to go back too, bub was asleep and not having any of it, just kept waving its arm and turning over like 'go away!'
Anyone already been back after a hiding baby? I've got to have the quads test too, so will I have a blood test and a scan when we go back?

Hi ladies, hope all is well and lots of lovely scans going on!

Can't remember the last time I posted/updated but here's where I'm at now...

    - 23 weeks exactly today - time is FLYING by!

    - bump has most certainly made an appearance and I am slightly less worried at looking 'fat' and knowing that I actually look 'pregnant' now :T

    - anyone else have 'itchy'/weird feeling skin all over at night time? I can be sitting on the sofa watching TV and twitching like a lunatic every so often :rotfl:

    - travel system shopping is officially a nightmare

    - I have started picking up packs of nappies when doing food shopping and for some reason feel like a total fraud buying them :rotfl:

    - I have been signed off work and have mixed feelings about this :(

Hope everyone is well and bubbas jumping around wildly! :T

Hello hieveryone, dipping my toes in here today, I'm 12 + 3 ( maybe 2) but my scan is tomorrow so won't officially jump over until then. Just wanted to say - i hear you with the travel system! Yes, had that restless thing last night! I can't wait to feel the kicks! Think it'll be reassurance they are fine in there. Haven't started buying yet - will start tomorrow but the grandparents certainly have. Sorry your not feeling well enough for work hieveryone, is that you until maternity leave now?
  • Good luck at your scan today rambosmum.

Feel horrible today. Started yesterday afternoon, couldn't stand anything touching the bump which is a bit achy, and feel a big icky today, and my back is aching. Feeling slightly better after eating as I hadn't had anything since yesterday lunchtime. The joys of pregnancy!

Also, for those interested there is a mothercare expectant parent event coming up, where you get freebies, advice and 10% of in-store on the night. You need to book and there are usually 100 spaces free. Mine is on the 29th September.

    Hi all,

I'm good thanks. Got my scan today, eek. Kitchen is going ok. Awaiting the arrival of some more units so can't actually use it or plumb the sink in. Oops. Do have a plumbed in washer and dishwasher though, which is good!

Hoping baby behaves and I don't have to go back for another scan like highlandlass and tamville!

Welcome highlandlass, I've added you to the list.

Good luck on the first day with kids pinkshoes.

I went out on Friday night and wore normal jeans, I woke up the next day with mega bump, looks like tiny human didn't like being squashed!

    Sorry your feeling rubbish devildolly.

And a tentative hello to sweetilemon - good luck for the scan tomorrow, looking forward to adding you to the list.
  • Good luck for your scan today rambosmum! Hope you are feeling better soon devildolly. And all the best for tomorrow sweetilemon. Wearing my under the bump trousers to work today, so comfy!
